RACHEL’S pov
Baldwin’s Mansion, LA<<
“Ma’am?” the cab driver called me for the hundredth time, snapping me from my train of thought.
I faced him only to realize he’s stretching a tissue at me, and staring at me with concern too. I collected the tissue but didn’t wipe my face, because I didn’t feel like it.
“Let’s go” I told him.
“We’re here” he said, then looked out the window.
I looked out the window too, and realized we’re already outside our (I and Duncan’s) home.
Hold on a sec, is this really still my home?
“Are you ok?” he asked me.
“Hm” I hummed, and quickly wiped my face.
I reached for my purse, pulled out some cash and paid him.
“Keep the change” I told him, then alighted his cab and rushed towards the gates.

“What’s wrong, Mrs Baldwin” Jeb asked when he opened the gates, and I entered the compound.
“I’m fine” I answered him with a weak smile.
Right then I saw nanny Pamela, Mrs Jackson, Mariah and Fatima rushed towards me with worries, and fear in their faces.
“Holy cow, Rachel, where have you fuçking been? We’ve been searching every damn corner for you?!” Fatima asked in a scolding tone, but she frowned deeply when noticed my sad expression. “Yo, what happened to you?” she asked in a calmer tone this time.
Nanny Pamela and Mrs Jackson came to my side, nanny Pamela hugged me sideways, and Mrs Jackson simply studied my face with a deep frown too.
“Rachel, what’s going on? Why were you crying? And where did you go?” Nanny Pamela asked. “Do you know how scared we were when you left?” she added.
I looked at everyone again, they’re all genuinely worried about me.
“I’m fine, I… ” I took a deep breath. “I just went for a stroll around, because my legs were feeling numb from drive back from the cemetery” I lied smoothly.
“Then why were you crying?” Mrs Jackson asked.
“Oh, I bumped into a toddler, and she fell and hurt herself, so… ” I trailed off with a forced smile.
They all heaved a sigh of great relief, and chuckled lightly when I said that, well, except Fatima, she was just staring at me with narrowed eyes, as if she knows I’m telling a lie -well, nothing gets past her eagle like eyes.
But I can only lie to them, I can’t tell them I just caught my lovely husband, who loves me so much and doesn’t stop to showering his love on me, cheating on me, because it might sound ridiculous to them, and they might not even believe -not with all his PDA.
“Well, honey” she grabbed my cheeks. “Make sure you let us know when you’re going on a stroll next time” she said while pulling my cheeks.
“Ok” I replied, and tried to escape from her.
“Let’s go inside and eat, dinner’s been ready for a while now” Mrs Jackson said.
“Hm” I hummed, and we all headed inside.
But Fatima wouldn’t stop giving me suspicious looks, that’s why she’s my best friend, she understands each and every of my emotions, she knows exactly when I’m faking being happy.

THIRD PERSON’S pov.
Wetland Holiday Inn<<
Lucas snapped his eyes open when a loud honk sounded from behind, he rested his head on the steering wheel as he yawned, and rubbed his forehead.
He had decided to take a twenty minutes nap immediately his boss, Mr Baldwin, went inside the inn.
His eyes caught the time on his wristwatch while he was stretching his body, and his eyes widened in both fear and surprise.
“Crap! It’s been almost one hour!” he exclaimed loudly, and jumped out of the car, then dashed towards the main entrance of the inn.

Lucas hurriedly stepped out of the elevator, then rushed towards room 0013.
He pressed the doorbell a few times but nobody answered the door, he frowned as he wondered if nobody’s inside the room, or if his boss was in trouble.
He reached for a card in his pants pocket, he quickly swiped it and pushed the door open, then rushed in. He gently shut the door, and reached for his gun in pocket.
His eyes searched frantically with his gun aimed particularly at nothing, but his hands dropped to his sides, and his mouth fell open when his eyes landed on his boss.
“Shît! We’ve fallen into a trap!” he cursed silently.
He balled his fist as he stared at his naked boss, laying next to an equally naked Tasha Wood. He looked around the room again, then his eyes landed on a wine on the table, and he knew it must be the wine his boss had drank.
Lucas walked towards it, he reached for the wine and sniffed it, but found nothing wrong with it. Then he walked towards the bed, picking his boss’s clothes along the way.
“Mr Baldwin” he called.
But Mr Baldwin grumbled sleepily, turned to face Tasha and threw an arm around her waist, then continued sleeping.
“Mr Baldwin” Lucas called him once more, but he still didn’t wake up.
Lucas groaned angrily, he’s angry at himself for falling asleep earlier and not being able to keep watch for his boss, then he’s also angry at his boss for actually falling into a trap so easily.
He saw a bottled water standing on the small bedside table, he quickly reached for it and popped the cover open, then poured it on Mr Baldwin’s face, which made him (Mr Baldwin) snapped his eyes open and sprang up at once.
Mr Baldwin’s eyes looked around the place frantically, his brows furrowed when he realized he’s still in the hotel room, and he faced Lucas.
“What’s the time?” he asked.
“05:59pm”
“Then why are we still here?” he asked again, gesturing at the room.
“Her” Lucas nodded at Tasha who’s still sleeping, with her face glowing in contented smile.
Mr Baldwin followed Lucas’s gaze, and his eyes landed on Tasha who’s still smiling in her sleep -she’s sprawled happily on the bed.
“Wh-why is she naked?” he asked.
“Here, sir” Lucas said.
He handed some clothes to Mr Baldwin, who in turn looked down at himself and realized he’s naked too, this made him frown deeply as he was overwhelmed with confusion.
He snatched the clothes from Lucas, and started wearing them hurriedly.
“What’s going on here?” he asked.
“Uh.. ” Lucas cleared his throat. “Uh.. I think you.. you had sèx with her”
“What?!” Mr Baldwin exclaimed. “That’s fuçking impossible!”
“Uh.. it’s already possible, sir” Lucas stared at Tasha while saying these words.
Mr Baldwin narrowed his eyes as he tried to recall what happened, and how he ended up sleeping with Tasha.
His eyes suddenly widened as he stared at Tasha again and cursed loudly, then smacked his head.
“Fuçk! I’ve made a very crappy mistake!” he growled.
He grabbed Lucas by his collar and pulled him closer, and stared angrily in Lucas’ eyes.
“How did this happen? I let my guard down, but you should be alert every goddamn time!” he growled in Lucas’ face, and pushed him away.
He paced worriedly, pulling his hair in frustration and blaming himself for not being vigilant enough.
“I’m an @sshole! I’m a fuçking big @sshole!” he slapped himself a few times.
There was a small table in front of him, which he raised and threw it across the room making it crash, and created a few dent on the wall.
The sound of the table crashing, woke Tasha up from her slumber, she sprang up and looked around as though she’s searching for danger.
Seeing her face seemed to irked Mr Baldwin even more, he became angrier at himself and instantly snatched Lucas’s gun, then cocked it as he aimed it at Tasha.
Every normal girl would be expected to cower away in fear, but Tasha didn’t, she simply stood there with a smirk playing on her lips -not even bothering to cover her nakedness.
“Sir, what are you doing?” Lucas asked.
“My wife mustn’t know about this shît!” Mr Baldwin gritted out. “Killing her is the only option, and way out for me!” he added.
Lucas quickly rushed in front of him, spreading his arms open and blocking Tasha.
“Move, I’m gonna kill the bitçh!” Mr Baldwin growled.
“Calm down, sir, there’s another way to do this”
“There’s no other way, MOVE OR I’LL BLOW UP BOTH YOUR BRAINS!”
Lucas quickly jumped out of the way, but the lights suddenly went out before Mr Baldwin could pull the trigger.
“What’s going on?!” he roared.
“I don’t know, sir”
