Any other day, and I’ll make the beauty standing in front of me know why my school mates called me Ronaldo. Any other person, and I would have made her beg me to make love to her there and then, before I’ll send her away for being so arrogantly confident.

And any other situation, I wouldn’t have cared who she was and made her do the chasing, when I turn on my charm.

But she was Sasha Jones, and she had all it takes to help me achieve what I wanted so despêrately to do; to get Toshteck Limited back on track.

I was looking at her again, trying to see how someone with a pretty face and body like the person standing in front of me could be Sasha Jones, the reportedly former General Manager of Namenda Holdings, our greatest rival that had been fighting tooth and nail to bring us to extinction.

It was a difficult thing to accept that the reputed Sasha Jones that was said to be the main reason Namenda Holdings had taken over the Oil and Gas private sector was actually a pretty faced and heavenly shaped being.

“Please sit down Miss Sasha” I told her, gesturing her to a seat in front of me.

“Thanks” she said curtly and walked briskly to the seat, sat down and crossed her legs exuding too much confidence for my liking.

“May I ask you a few questions Miss Sasha?” I asked, looking at her, still in awe.

“That would be okay sir, but I was hoping you’d allow me tell you a few things because hopefully, your questions may be answered with what I have to say.

“Go ahead Miss Sasha” I told her, mesmerized by the way she spoke and her carriage.

“Thank you sir. So like my resume reads, my name is Sasha Jones, a 27 years old female. Although my first degree is in Secretarial Studies, I bagged a Master’s degree and a PhD in Business Administration and International Relations from Harvard University.

“I have worked with Namenda Holdings for all the times I’ve been in Nigeria, until recently when I had to quit the job.

“Until my involuntary resignation, I was the General Manager and reported solely to the CEO who lived in USA, and only returned recently.

“His inability to keep our relationship as official as if should be, and his attempts to harass me a number of times created a sort of fracas between us, and when he decided to place more value on what I could do for him in bed above what I could do for him on the drawing table, he asked me to choose between my job and submitting my body to him, and here I am.

“So it’s simple. I need a job, and I trust that working here would give me the opportunity to face more challenges that can fine tune my analytical and interpersonal skills, while I form an alliance with you my boss, to push this organization above it’s contemporaries.

“And so technically sir, I’ll be willing to work behind the scenes to get Toshteck Limited to where it should be if we’ll be able to maintain the line between business and pleasure ” she told me in a go.

I chuckled involuntarily as I looked at her. She sounded so intelligent and confident, but something about the way she was looking at me when she spoke made me wonder if she’d be able to keep to the terms she was giving, herself.

“So what if I decide to marry you tomorrow? What if I find you too irresistible to be able to keep our working relationship as official as you have stated?” I asked, smiling coyly.

“Then I’ll become your wife and dedicate all the wealth of my knowledge to ensuring that your kitchen and bedroom doesn’t fall short of what’s is expected of the CEO of Toshteck Limited’s home

“Now you can go ahead and produce a ring to seal this marriage proposal or get serious with what has brought me here sir” she told me sternly.

“You know Miss Sasha, I would like to be in your shoes, having to sit in front of my prospective employer, and dishing out instructions on terms of engagement!” I said with a charming smile, then I got serious, choosing to quit flírting with her and make the most of an employee I knew was going to mean so much to me.

“It’s alright Miss Sasha. I love intelligent, disciplined and smart people because they make doing my job so easy. I do not have to work thinking of my own moves and calculating for my employees or subordinates

“You will no doubt make a good secretary Miss Sasha. See how even before we kick started, you have given me all the information I can leverage on to get started on the journey to redeeming Toshteck Limited, and I have all the time to play around.

“What I don’t understand though is why someone of your level of experience and wealth of knowledge chose to be a secretary. Do you have an answer to that?” I asked, still trying to be sure she wasn’t a spy on a mission.

“If an organization is to do well sir, all significant and key players should be of impeccably good skills and abilities.

“A team performs optimally when all the members hold firm their lines and ensure there’s no leakage at any point. I chose to take the only available job offer in your organization because I need a job, and I know even as a secretary, I can make my marks.

“And if you’d be kind enough to choose to keep the distinction between business and pleasure, then I’ll most certainly be showing you how true my assertion is. ” she told me, looking at me confidently.

“Rest assured Miss Sasha, I am sapiosexual, but I sure don’t mix business with pleasure. Welcome on board Miss Sasha” I told her and extended my hand for a handshake.

She shook my hand rather too firmly for a lady, and quickly pulled her hand from mine.

We talked about a few other things that needed to be talked about, and she sauntered out of my office.

“Phew! What the…!” I muttered under my breath when I realized that I had been literally holding my breath, all the while she sat opposite me.

“How am I going to cope with this girl? How can one person be gifted with such an extravagant level of both beauty and brain?

“Whatever happened to the cliché that the super intelligent girls are never attractive?” I wondered as images of her face kept flashing through my mind’s eye.

I called Mirabel, my girlfriend to know if we could hang out as soon as I closed from work. I needed something to take my mind off that Sasha girl.

“I’m supposed to go to the Spa later today, but since you want me around, I’ll be willing to move the appointment to another time” she told me sweetly.

We met up some hours later, and as usual, she wanted nothing but to cuddle and kiss. The fact that I was making some business calls as we sat notwithstanding.

“I just got a new secretary today babes, and you won’t believe how much work has been lifted off my shoulders. This new secretary was able to send me a document that contains virtually everything I would have had to search for, all through this week. She gave me all the information on the strength and weaknesses of my biggest rival” I told her, not getting why I had to talk about Sasha.

“Oh! So what’s so important about knowing the weakness and strength of your rival?” Mirabel asked me, looking all serious, and I almost cried.
