He left the ward again for the storeroom where he got the antidote and painkillers.
He came back in no time and injected the two into each of her wrists with three minutes time difference, then he sat beside her, and his hand went to the spot where she tied her chest bandage.
He started untying it, but then she spoke up.

Madden got a lighter from his pocket and set the red bandage on fire, then he sat on a chair not far from her bed, watching the bandage burn without casting another glance her way.
Adeline’s eyes opened to see him.

NEXT MORNING, IGOR’S SUITE*

“Show me” Igor replied, and he was led to the clinic.

“Me? Why?” Andrei replied without blinking, and her stomach grumbled.
“I have a running stomach, I have to take care of it. Please” she said.
Andrei took the tray from her, and she thanked him fast then rushed off.
Andrei texted Igor about it before going ahead to Maya’s suite
He rang her alarm, and she came to the door with only a short towel around her chest.

“Where are you going? What about the tea?” She stood too.

“I’m pouring everything away if you don’t” she took the tray, and he snatched it from her.
He sat back, taking the small spoon.
Maya sat too, smiling as he scooped tea on the spoon and blew air on it before bringing it to her mouth.
She opened up slowly, holding eyes with him as she drank it.
“You should try it out too” she offered.
“Why would I? I’m not crazy in the head like you” he replied, and her countenance changed immediately.
She hit the cup away from him, and fell on the ground, breaking.

Without another word, Andrei left the suite, and she sighed, darting her eyes to her tied hand.
