    I rolled my eyes and open my locker.

    I pick out my time table and groan.

    I so much hate literature class, coupled that the teacher is annoying, the old man gets on my nerve. My dad has refused to fire him because he’s his friend.
    Seriously that man is old already, he needs rest.

    “Well, you have no choice but to go. Yours grades is poor in literature, you know that ”

    “I won’t go Camille, I don’t want to get sick reading those boring literature books ”

    “I would tell him I’m sick or something, and use the ginger incident too ” I shrug.

    I stayed in my car playing with my phone. I smile when I saw my picture on the schools blog. The headline says.

    Sonia walked through the university gate in excitement. She had a smile on her face and her hands lay hold of the luggage she had.

    Sonia was the third child of her parents who were well doing in their businesses. Her father was a business tycoon and her mother also was. Her parents travelled to far and near for business transactions and were barely at home.

    Sonia’s company and that of her siblings most times were the maids and the nannies hired for their care at a tender age.

    There was a mixture of excitement coupled with nervousness that swept Sonia off her feet when she got nearer to her hostel. Suddenly the luggage that felt light before began having immense weight. The thoughts of life on campus and how she would interact with her coursemates overwhelmed her.

    Sonia thought that her anxiety about how campus life would be had ended but it dawned on her again that she was still in fear of the unknown.

    “Hi pretty.”

    A lady approached Sonia with a smile on her face. She waved at Sonia to get her attention because it seemed that she was lost in her own thoughts.

    “Ohh…. Hiiii…”

    Sonia uttered almost stammering.

    “You are a newbie right?”

    The lady asked.

    “Yes, I am.”

    Sonia responded sharply and the lady smiled.

    “I hope you know your way around?”

    The lady asked and Sonia nodded her head.

    Of cos she knew the hostel she was going to and was only overwhelmed with thoughts so much that it made her drag her legs.

    “Alright, I thought that you didn’t know your way around that was why I approached you. I’m over there.”

    The lady pointed at a tree where ladies who looked as same age as her sat with some who looked young and innocent just like Sonia.

    “What are you guys doing over here?”

    Sonia asked.

    “We are singers. Currently we are waiting for our leader’s arrival so we can start.”

    The lady responded.

    “Pardon, your group is strictly for ladies right?”

    Sonia asked in a hushed tone while stealing glances at the ladies on seat . The lady laughed a bit before responding yes.

    “Yes, it’s for ladies only . Ages dosen’t matter as far you are a female you are good to go. The leader and I have coached several girls on this and they are doing fine. Do you wish to join? There are benefits for those who join.”

    The lady uttered.

    Sonia held her head and quickly texted her digits on the ladies’s phone. After she was done she started going to the hostel with her luggage. This time she walked extremely fast and she got to the hostel right in time.

    When Sonia arrived at the hostel, she put her luggage on the tiles. She was going to set her belongings in position the next day because she was extremely tired.

    An unsaved number call came in when Sonia offed her dress. She figured out that it was that of the lady she had given her number while heading to the hostel, so she picked it up.

    “Hello, it’s the lady you gave your contact.”

    The lady sounded on call when Sonia picked it up .

    “I knew it was you. How are you?”

    Sonia asked and she replied she was fine

    Before the call ended the lady told her to save her number with the name Folakemi. After she told Sonia that she cut the call.

    Immediately the call ended, Sonia saved her number as Folakemi. She then put on her towel and went to take a shower after she was done, she settled on the bed to relax her nerves .

    On WhatsApp, Sonia had a lot of messages. Her siblings had texted her and her nanny had also sent her a message. There were lots of missed voice calls from her nanny and she knew that she must have been deeply worried about her.

    Sonia replied the messages and responses began coming in both from her nanny and her siblings.

    When her eyes became weary and waxing thin she closed them to get a sleep after closing her chats.

    Sonia asked a lady that sat besides her.

    The lady beside Sonia responded.
