Alejandro stepped out of his car, dressed in sunglasses and a suit. He walked to the driver’s seat and helped Camila down. It was something he was starting to get used to these days.

He held her hand protectively as he led her in. The employees never failed to admire them as usual, but he didn’t really care.

“Good morning, boss. Good morning, Mrs. Ruiz,” Diego greeted and offered to take his bag.

“No need,” Alejandro cut him off and entered his office. He dropped his briefcase on the couch and pulled a chair beside him for Camila to sit.

“This is your office now. You’ll be with me, and you’ll start attending meetings,” he told her.

    “Really?” Camila asked.

“Yes, and starting now, we’re going to a board meeting. I should introduce you to my important clients. Are you up for that?” he asked.

    “Of course,” Camila nodded.

“Good, prep yourself a little,” Alejandro tapped her shoulder before standing up and discussing some things with Diego.

Camila came to him, smiling brightly. “I’m ready. Let’s go.”

    ••••••

The board members whispered among themselves when they saw Camila walk in with Alejandro. He noticed she felt a bit tense, so he squeezed her hand, bringing her to sit beside him.

“Mr. Alejandro, won’t you introduce the new member you’ve brought to us?” one of the board members asked.

“Is she disturbing our presentation?” Alejandro asked back.

    “I…” The man stuttered.

“If she’s not, then you may start,” Alejandro replied dryly.

The man cleared his throat and began talking. So many people talked. Camila was impressed with how he showcased domination and authority. It made her even prouder of him.

It took some hours for the meeting to conclude. Alejandro and Camila returned to the office.

    “Are you hungry?” he asked.

“I should ask you that. You did a pretty good job back there. I can get you whatever you want, just name it,” she replied.

“I’m used to working this much. I honestly don’t feel anything anymore,” Alejandro scoffed.

“That’s not good,” Camila shook her head. “Diego,” she turned to Diego, who was still in the office with them.

“What’s Alejandro’s next appointment?” she asked, and Alejandro furrowed his brows, wondering why she was asking that question.

“A review of the electric factory,” he replied.

“Is it that important?” she asked, and Diego looked unsure before replying.

“Not really, but boss doesn’t like missing any appointment, no matter how minor,” Diego replied.

“Okay, cancel it then and book us at the best spa. It’s all on me,” Camila ordered.

“What?” Diego looked at Alejandro again, but he wasn’t saying anything, so he took it as a go-ahead and nodded, leaving to do as he was told.

“Why are you so stubborn?” Alejandro couldn’t help but ask.

“You don’t get to take care of me all the time. Get ready. You have five minutes, and I’m the one in charge of you for today, so if you don’t want to get punished, do as I say,” she ordered.

“Really?” Alejandro moved closer, looking amused. “If I may ask, what are the consequences?”

“Break my rules and find out,” she winked at him, and Alejandro couldn’t help but stare at her, wondering why this woman challenged and impressed him every time.

“As you say, wifey,” he smiled.

    Married To The Vengeful Billionaire:

    🔸(His Sweet Torture)🔸

A tense staring contest ensued between Alejandro, Camila, and Sofia. Alejandro sat on the couch, legs crossed comfortably, his expression dry.

“Is anyone going to explain?” Sofia broke the silence.

“Well…I…he…” Camila scratched her legs nervously, unsure where to start.

“Your daughter fell ill today. She just got discharged from the hospital and didn’t eat anything last night. As if that wasn’t enough, she wants to starve herself again this morning,” Alejandro reported.

“Hey!” Camila threw him a glare before turning to her mom. “He didn’t return home last night. I couldn’t eat because I was worried about him. I think you should ask your son-in-law what he was doing late at night in the company. Maybe he wasn’t even there.”

Alejandro’s gaze darkened. “What do you mean by that?”

“I don’t know, you should ask yourself,” Camila rolled her eyes and crossed her legs, maintaining a stubborn look.

Sofia was lost in what was happening, but one thing that bothered her was hearing that Camila was ill.

“Camila, you didn’t tell me you weren’t feeling well. What happened?” Sofia looked worried.

Camila’s face turned a bit pale as she looked at Alejandro. He knew he shouldn’t have mentioned that part to Sofia, but he couldn’t help it.

    “I… Actually, it’s nothin-”

“What happened to your hand?” Sofia cut Camila off.

Camila stared at her hand. The bandage Thomas used for her snake bite was still there. She looked at Alejandro, but he remained calm.

“What happened to your wife’s hand, Alejandro?” Sofia asked angrily.

Alejandro let out a deep breath before replying. “She got bitten by a snake,” he mumbled.

“What?” Sofia rose from the couch. “A snake??” Her eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at Alejandro.

“Mom, calm down. It’s not his fault,” Camila said softly.

“What do you mean by that, Camila? He’s your husband. I didn’t give you to him so you’d get your hand bitten by snakes. I gave you to him so he would take care of you,” Sofia replied before turning her attention back to Alejandro.

“You promised to protect my daughter. How can you let this happen? Are you not performing your role as a husband?” She questioned him angrily.

“Mom, stop!” Camila said sternly. “Do not question Alejandro’s role as a husband. He’s been…” Camila turned to stare at him. He was staring at the space in front of Sofia, and she couldn’t tell if he was offended or simply indifferent. She knew their marriage started as a joke, but these past days before the snake incident, she had begun to see a new side of him and was loving it.

“He’s been treating me well, better than any man on this planet. It’s not his fault I got bitten by a snake. Neither of us expected it, and he’s been doing everything to make me feel better, but I’ve just been stubborn,” Camila bit her lips.

Sofia sighed and sat back on the couch. “I’m sorry for the outburst. I was just worried about my daughter. How could a snake bite her?” Sofia rubbed her temples, feeling tired.

“I should be the one who’s sorry. If I had been more active as a husband, then no one would dare play that prank on her. I assure you, mother-in-law, this is the last time you will ever hear of something like this,” Alejandro finally spoke, his voice full of responsibility and determination.

    Sofia could only nod.

“Why are you here, mom?” Camila then asked.

“So I can’t come to greet my daughter anymore because she’s married?” Sofia clapped back.

“It’s not that way, mom. You know you could have informed us you were coming so we could prepare things to welcome you,” Camila pouted, trying to explain.

“Do I need to ask to see my daughter?” Sofia stared at Alejandro.

“Mother-in-law is welcome to say hello anytime she wants,” Alejandro replied.

    “But…”

“Hush!” He placed his fingers on Camila’s lips, silencing her, and all she could do was glare at him.

“Anyway, I was coming from a friend’s house and decided to stop by. I brought homemade food for you. Your father cooked it. He’s a bit better now,” Sofia said, nodding at the bodyguard who accompanied her.

The bodyguard nodded and left the mansion.

“Dad cooked? How are his legs now?” Camila asked.

“They are getting better. He’s been undergoing lots of therapy. He might not walk perfectly, but he’s learning again. He insisted on cooking for you today,” Sofia smiled.

“Really?” Camila smiled happily, and Alejandro couldn’t help but stare at her face. She looked so happy. Was this how much she loved her father’s cooking? Maybe he should learn to cook so she could smile for him like this.

“Yes, his birthday is fast approaching, and he wants to learn how to walk so he can give you his first hug. Don’t tell him I told you. He’s planning to surprise you, but I’m just too excited he’s walking again,” Sofia told her.

“I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see dad again,” Camila couldn’t contain her happiness.

The bodyguard returned with a flask of food. He respectfully handed it to Camila, who immediately opened it and inhaled the fresh scent.

“Fish soup. He really knows me well,” she smiled, hugging the food to her chest. Alejandro almost laughed at her behavior. Her love for food sometimes made him question himself as her husband.

“Don’t be stingy with your food. Share with your husband,” Sofia gave her a knowing look before standing up. She hugged Camila and patted Alejandro’s shoulder.

“Make sure you take good care of your wife,” she said to him before leaving with her bodyguard.

After a few minutes of awkward silence, Camila cleared her throat, being the one to start.

“I’m very sorry about my mom. She gets too extra when she’s worried. I hope you didn’t take what she said to heart,” she mumbled.

“I already told you it’s fine. I should have done enough,” Alejandro simply replied.

“But I’m fine now, aren’t I?” Camila bit her lips.

Alejandro turned to face her, looking at her intensely. “Believe me, Camila, no one will ever harass you again. Any package you receive, show it to me before anything else,” he said seriously.

Camila stared at him for a while and nodded.

“Good girl,” he patted her head. “Now can you eat for me?” He asked, and without waiting for her reply, he called Lucy.

“Take the flask from her and transfer the food to a plate,” he ordered.

“Transfer the food to two plates,” Camila corrected him.

“Why?” Alejandro raised one of his brows.

“If you don’t eat, then I won’t eat either,” she gave him a daring look.

“No one has ever done this to me,” Alejandro said, looking amused.

“That’s why I’m not just anyone. I’m your wife,” she smirked, and Alejandro brought his hand to her chin, making her look him in the eyes.

“Do as I say, wifey, and eat your food,” he whispered. Camila bit her lips, and he couldn’t help but look at them.

“It’s too early for that. I don’t want you to show up to work with swollen lips,” he warned her.

“And what if I want to?” Camila asked back.

Alejandro stared at her intensely for a while, imagining the crazy things he wanted to do to her right now on this couch.

“Trust me, you don’t want that right now. Be a good girl and eat,” he pressed her chin before letting go.

Camila pouted and leaned on the couch. Lucy came to the dining area, arranged the food, and when she was done, she came to inform them.

“The food is ready,” she bowed respectfully, and Camila was the first to rush to the dining area. She began eating as fast as she could.

Alejandro walked towards her with his hands in his pockets. He shook his head as he sat beside her.

“Didn’t you say you wouldn’t eat if I didn’t eat?” He asked with a playful smile.

Camila paused and slowly raised her head to look at him. There was a stain of soup on her lips, which she didn’t notice. Alejandro stretched his thumb to her lips, wiped the soup off, and tasted it.

“Delicious, but I’m not sure if it’s the soup or your lips,” he said, teasingly.

“Alejandro!” Camila tried to hide her red cheeks, but it was no use.

Alejandro watched Camila eat. He took just one spoon.

“Why aren’t you eating more? Don’t you like it?” She furrowed her brows.

“It’s good, but I kind of prefer your lips more,” he winked.

    “Alejandro!!”

“You’re much better. You’ll be released this evening, but you need lots of rest and don’t overwork yourself,” Thomas said to Camila, but she just nodded.

Her mind hadn’t been in the right place since Alejandro left, and he hadn’t returned to check on her.

The door opened, and Diego stepped in.

“Alejandro asked me to take you home,” he said.

“What about him? Isn’t he coming with me?” she asked sadly.

“He has a lot of work. He’ll catch up later,” Diego replied, not wanting to get involved.

Camila didn’t ask any more questions. She nodded but couldn’t stop thinking about what could be the problem. Thomas discharged her, and Diego helped her home.

“Mrs. Ruiz, dinner is ready,” Lucy informed her, but Camila didn’t get up from bed.

“I’m not eating until Alejandro comes home and joins me,” she replied.

“Please, ma’am, we’ll get in trouble if you don’t eat,” Lucy pleaded, but Camila ignored her. Lucy sighed and gently closed the door.

Camila didn’t know how long she stayed up waiting for Alejandro, but he never showed, and she eventually fell asleep.

Alejandro returned to the mansion at 11:00 PM. Some maids were asleep by then. He noticed Lucy packing the untouched food.

“She didn’t eat?” he asked slowly while staring at the full table.

“She said she was waiting for you but fell asleep. I really tried to convince her, Mr. Ruiz,” Lucy explained, giving him an apologetic look.

Alejandro sighed and waved his hand. “It’s okay. Clear the table and go to bed,” he dismissed her.

Lucy nodded and watched him leave. She sighed and packed the untouched food away.

Alejandro walked to Camila’s room. She was lying on her back, her eyes closed. He moved closer; she still had her shoes on and wasn’t properly covered.

He started by taking off her shoes, then arranged her head properly on the pillow. He stared at her face for a while, feeling the urge to arrange the strands of hair covering her face. He remembered what she had told him earlier.

“It’s just that this moment feels so surreal. I never imagined Alejandro Ruiz treating me with such care, like I’m a newborn,” she had said.

He pondered her words but couldn’t find an answer. He didn’t want to admit to himself that he was changing. He was only changing when it came to her. This wasn’t the plan. She was supposed to realize how much she had hurt him and see that he could live without her. But could he really live without her?

Alejandro stopped thinking, covered her with the duvet, and stood up. He turned back to look at her one more time before leaving the room.

    NEXT MORNING ★

Camila climbed down the stairs and found Alejandro at the dining table, having his usual coffee and reading his morning magazine.

“I’ll wait for you in the car,” she mumbled and tried to walk away, but Alejandro stopped her.

“Why didn’t you eat yesterday?” he asked.

“And why didn’t you come home?” she asked back, giving him a daring look.

“You’re getting too comfortable. You dare question me?” he said sluggishly without looking at her, his focus on the magazine.

“I’ll wait for you in the car,” Camila scoffed and stormed off.

“Camila!” Alejandro clenched his fist, dropped the magazine, and ran after her. Before she could reach the car, Alejandro grabbed her.

“You really think I’ll let you go out after not eating last night? For fuck sake, Camila, you were just discharged!” Alejandro couldn’t help but yell. She was so stubborn, and it was driving him crazy.

“If you had cared enough, you wouldn’t have acted like a bitch and stayed home last night!” Camila yelled back.

“You just called me a bitch?” Alejandro said, almost in disbelief.

“Do you need me to spell it out? B-I-T-C…” Before she could finish, Alejandro lifted her off the ground and threw her over his shoulder.

“Put me down!” She tried kicking and slapping, but he didn’t drop her. He began taking her inside, the maids standing there, saying nothing.

“What’s going on here?” The familiar voice made everyone freeze. Camila slowly looked up, her eyes widening.

    “Mom?”

Alejandro was working on his laptop and reviewing some documents when Diego entered the office.

“The files contain the person behind the snake,” Diego informed him, dropping some files on Alejandro’s desk.

Alejandro paused his work to open the pictures. It was a blonde woman who didn’t look familiar to him.

“Her name is Ximena Leon, Rafael’s ex-girlfriend,” Diego added. Alejandro’s grip on the file tightened.

After a moment of silent anger, he dropped the file and stood up. “Come with me,” he ordered Diego, leaving the office.

“Where are we going, boss?” Diego asked, running after him.

“To Marcus Ventures. He needs to learn how to keep his properties off mine,” Alejandro replied. Before Diego could reason with him, he had already reached his car.

Diego helplessly shook his head and followed him.

    MARCUS GLOBAL VENTURES ★

Diego parked the car, and Alejandro didn’t wait for him to get the door. He stepped out himself, hands in his pants pockets, and walked majestically into the building.

“Mr. Ruiz?” The female receptionist looked confused. “Is there anything you need? Do you have an appointment with Mr. Marcus?” she asked.

“Show me the way to his office,” Alejandro ignored her greeting.

“I’m afraid I can’t let anyone see Mr. Marcus without an appointment,” the receptionist said politely.

“I said, show me the way to his damn office,” Alejandro demanded. He had no intention of leaving without speaking to Rafael.

“I told you, Mr. Ruiz, I can’t let you see Mr. Marcus without an appointment. If you refuse, I’ll have to call security,” the receptionist warned, picking up her phone.

“Boss, let’s just leave,” Diego whispered.

“Mr. Alejandro Ruiz, you just got here, so why are you in a rush to leave? Do you want to settle down and talk over a cup of tea?” Rafael asked, coming out of an elevator with Julian.

Alejandro turned to him, his face dark with anger.

“Oh, maybe you didn’t come for tea,” Rafael said, feigning surprise.

“I want to warn you to keep your property off mine. If your woman makes another attempt to hurt my wife, I’ll make sure both of you regret it,” Alejandro warned.

“What do you mean, Camila is hurt? How is she now?” Rafael asked seriously, his eyes filled with worry.

“I’ll say this one last time: stay away from my property and control yours, or I’ll do it for you,” Alejandro said, giving Rafael one last glance before walking away.

Diego immediately followed him while Rafael stood confused.

“Did I hear it right, Camila was hurt?” Rafael asked Julian.

“I’ll look into it, boss. But what do you want me to do about Ximena?” Julian asked.

“I’ll handle her myself,” Rafael replied.

    BRIARWOOD SCHOOL ★

Valeria was eating with Elijah at the school cafeteria, laughing at some jokes his friends were making when her phone beeped. She checked the message and stood up.

“Excuse me,” she flashed a sweet smile, leaving the table.

Jeff watched her walk away before turning to Elijah. “She seems so happy all the time,” he said.

“Agreed, Elijah, you’re such a keeper,” Alan winked, dipping a fry in sauce and eating it.

Elijah wasn’t listening; he was busy looking at Brett and Isabella’s table. He wondered what they were laughing about and noticed Brett glancing at him.

“You’re still not over Isabella?” Easton whispered, bringing Elijah’s focus back.

    “Huh?” Elijah asked, confused.

“You’ve been glancing at Isabella’s table for minutes now. You just assured us you were over her, and Ace has gone to ask her out,” Easton reminded him.

“Oh,” was all Elijah could say. If only they knew the actual person he couldn’t take his eyes off.

“I’m serious, Elijah. Remember the bro code and stay away from Isabella as promised,” Easton pleaded.

“Chill, we’ve been friends for so long. I assure you, Ace can do whatever he wants with Isabella; it’s none of my concern,” Elijah rolled his eyes and glanced at Brett again. Isabella was patting his head now.

“Except she has something I really, really want,” he added in his head, secretly squeezing his fist under the table.

    FEMALE RESTROOM ★

Valeria locked herself in and checked the message. They were new pictures of her body, showing her scars. She tried calling the number, but no one picked up, and she felt like she was going crazy.

Her phone beeped; a new message had arrived.

“Maybe I should tell everyone the real reason you left your other school to come here,” the unknown sender texted, then sent more pictures.

“Who are you, and what do you want from me?” Valeria texted back, but as usual, there was no reply.

“Oh God, this can’t be happening,” she mumbled, bending to the floor and holding her head, trying to reduce the sudden pain. She had done her best to hide her past, so who was trying to tear down the walls she had built?

    LEON ENTERPRISE ★

“Mr. Marcus, it’s good to see you again,” the receptionist smiled sweetly at Rafael when she saw him, but he didn’t return it.

“Is Ximena in her office?” he asked directly.

“Yes, Mr. Marcus. Should I call her and tell her that—” The receptionist stopped talking when she noticed Rafael had already left.

He took the elevator to Ximena’s floor. Luckily, he found her outside with her friends, laughing about something. One of her friends noticed him and whispered to Ximena, making her turn over the him.

“We need to talk,” Rafael walked toward them.

“I’ll talk to him,” Ximena said to her friends, ushering them away. Once they were out of sight, Rafael grabbed Ximena’s hand, pulling her into her office.

He slammed her back against the door and locked it. Before she could process what was happening, he grabbed her by the throat, choking her.

“Rafael,” Ximena coughed, trying to push his hands off, but he didn’t let go.

“What’s wrong with you, Rafael? Let me go!” Ximena tried to breathe, but Rafael did not relent.

“Why did you hurt Camila?” He tightened his grip.

“How does that concern you? She’s not even yours,” Ximena forced out, and Rafael released her. She began coughing for her life.

“Yet” he corrected. “She’s not mine yet and this is the last time I’ll hear about this, or you’ll regret ever knowing me!” He flashed her a warning look. Ximena swore she didn’t recognize the man before her.

“This isn’t the Rafael I know,” she muttered, but it was loud enough for him to hear.

“Maybe you don’t really know me,” he said with a dark look before pulling her aside so he could leave the office.

Ximena clutched her chest in fright. She turned back to watch his retreating figure and pictured him with Camila. The thought pierced her heart like an arrow. She would never allow it.

“It won’t end until I say so,” she said hatefully, clenching her fist.

Camila opened her eyes to find Alejandro looking down at her worriedly. She blinked to make sure he was real, but he stayed there.

    “Alejandro?” she called slowly.

“You’re awake. Do you need anything?” Alejandro quickly asked. He turned to a nurse. “Tell Thomas to come in; my wife is awake,” he instructed.

“Yes, Mr. Ruiz,” the nurse nodded and left. A few minutes later, Thomas came in, fixing his gloves and placing his stethoscope on her chest to check her heartbeat.

“Her vitals are better now,” Thomas said.

“Do you want to eat anything?” Alejandro touched her forehead, asking softly.

Camila shook her head and struggled to sit up. Alejandro helped her sit on the bed.

“I’ll have someone get her something to eat,” Thomas said. Alejandro nodded, and Thomas left.

“Don’t worry, I’ll find whoever tried to hurt you, and I’ll make sure they pay for what they did,” Alejandro vowed, stroking her face, determined to punish the culprit.

“I’m fine. It was just a little bite,” Camila forced a smile, but Alejandro’s gaze was fixed on her pale face and dried lips.

“Not when it got you looking like this. From now on, you’re staying by my side, and I’m never letting you go,” he said firmly.

“Are you going to tie a chain around my neck and force me to stay with you?” Camila teased.

“If it requires that, then yes, I think I should,” he replied, and Camila could only smile at his clinginess.

A nurse returned with a bowl of soup for Camila.

“I’ll have it,” Alejandro took the bowl, and the nurse excused herself. He scooped some soup with a spoon and blew on it.

“I can feed myself,” Camila mumbled.

“Hush and open up for me,” he whispered, bringing the spoon to her mouth. Camila had no choice but to accept the food.

Alejandro fed her carefully, making sure no soup spilled. Camila couldn’t help but smile at his attentive care. She felt the urge to pinch herself, wondering if this was real.

“What’s wrong?” Alejandro asked when he noticed Camila wasn’t eating anymore but just staring at him with a smile.

She shook her head. “It’s just that this moment feels so surreal. I never imagined Alejandro Ruiz treating me with such care, like I’m a newborn,” she mused, shaking her head at what she had always considered a fantasy.

Alejandro stayed quiet, staring at her with a mix of confusion, thoughts, and disbelief, the spoon of soup frozen in his hand.

“Hey, did I say something wrong?” she asked softly.

Alejandro blinked back to reality, cleared his throat, and set the bowl of soup aside. He called for a nurse, who responded immediately.

“Make sure she finishes her food,” he ordered before standing up to leave.

“Where are you going?” Camila called, but he didn’t reply or turn back. He just left, closing the door behind him.

Camila wondered what she had done wrong.

“Ma’am, please, you need to eat,” the nurse said softly, pointing the spoon of soup to her mouth.

“I’m full,” Camila muttered, looking away.

“If that’s so, then I won’t force you. If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to use the nurse button, and we will attend to you immediately,” the nurse flashed a polite smile before leaving.

Camila stared at the ceiling with a sigh. “What could have possibly happened now?” she couldn’t help but think.

The cafeteria was filled with students as usual. Isabella ordered her lunch and sat with Brett.

“I’m surprised you came to find me instead. I’m usually the one chasing you around,” he teased with a smile.

“It’s not that new. We’re friends now,” Isabella rolled her eyes.

“You don’t look fine,” Brett said after observing her face.

“Wow, thank you, Brett. That’s a very loving thing to say,” Isabella mumbled sarcastically.

“I don’t mean it that way. You’re beautiful, but you look stressed. Are you okay, Isabella? You know you can talk to me, right?” Brett gave her an assuring look.

Isabella sighed. “Valeria came to me this morning, very angry, accusing me of something I didn’t do and threatening me to fix it within a day,” she told him.

“That blonde bitch,” Brett couldn’t help but curse. “Don’t let her ruin your day anyway. Remember, you’re very beautiful,” he smiled, tucking some strands of hair behind her ear.

“Thank you, Brett,” Isabella flashed a sweet smile.

Someone dropped a tray of food on the table, and Isabella looked up to see Ace. He took a seat, wiggling his brows at her.

“We didn’t say you could sit,” she said.

“And I didn’t ask,” he replied matter-of-factly. He then turned his gaze to Brett and gave him a small nod.

“You guys look like you need a little company, so I came,” he smiled and licked his lip ring.

“We don’t need anyone,” Brett assured him.

“If that’s the case, then Isabella, will you go on a date with me Thursday night?” he asked.

“What?” Isabella gave him a confused look.

“Think about it. You don’t need Elijah anymore. He’s with Valeria, and he doesn’t care. You can either let him disrespect you or get him back,” Ace said, dipping his hand into his pocket and sliding his card to her.

“I’ll wait for your call,” he winked and stood up, going to meet his other friends.

Isabella stared at the card, then at Brett.

“Why are you looking at me? Go out with him if you want,” he shrugged, eating a bit faster than usual.

“I do want to get back at Elijah,” she mumbled.

“Trust me, Isa, he doesn’t care,” Brett sighed.

“Why do you say that?” Isabella asked, and Brett looked over at Elijah’s table. He was eating with Valeria, but his eyes kept glancing in their direction, stealing looks at them, specifically him.

    “I just know,” Brett mumbled.

    Married To The Vengeful Billionaire:

    🔸(His Sweet Torture)🔸

“That would be all for today, thank you all for making it here,” Alejandro greeted his clients and investors as they wrapped up their meeting.

Stepping out of the boardroom, he bumped into a female employee who looked terrified.

“Mr. Ruiz,” her voice shook as she called his name. “Mrs. Ruiz is…”

Alejandro’s eyes darkened before she could finish. “What happened to my wife, and where is she?” he cut her off, his expression a mix of anger and worry.

“In the office clinic,” the employee replied. Alejandro didn’t ask any more questions and rushed to the clinic.

Camila lay on the bed, a bandage wrapped around her wrist where the snake had bitten her. The doctor checked her vitals, jotting them down in a book.

Alejandro entered, and everyone stopped what they were doing to greet him. He wasn’t phased; his eyes were on Camila, who was sleeping on the bed with her bandaged hand.

He walked toward her, sitting on a small stool and touching her forehead.

“What happened, Thomas? Why is she here?” he asked carefully, staring at Camila’s face.

“The employees rushed her here, reporting a snake bite,” Thomas explained, signaling a male nurse to bring something.

The nurse left and returned with a package, respectfully handing it to Alejandro. Alejandro opened it, his sight darkening at the sight of the dead snake.

“This bit my wife?” He clenched his fist.

“Yes, but there’s no clue who sent it, just a letter saying that’s what she deserves,” Thomas said, staring at Alejandro, who was looking at the letter. He covered it and turned his attention back to Thomas.

“How poisonous is this snake?” he asked.

“It’s deadly, but luckily your wife was brought here in time, and all the venom was extracted from her system. Rest assured, Mr. Ruiz, your wife is in safe hands,” Thomas assured him.

“I hope I can trust you, Thomas. Inform me when my wife wakes up,” Alejandro said before standing up and leaving.

He got to his office and took his telephone. He dialed Diego’s number and called. Diego, who had seen Alejandro walk past his office earlier, shook his head.

This man could walk all the way to the clinic to check on his wife but couldn’t walk a few steps to call him. Diego picked up the call.

“Report to my office immediately,” Alejandro ordered, hanging up as he usually did.

Diego rolled his eyes and went to his office. Alejandro handed him a card.

“I have an assignment for you. I need you to track this handwriting and figure out who sent that package to my wife,” he ordered.

“Yes, boss,” Diego collected the letter.

“You may leave now,” Alejandro dismissed him. Diego nodded and left the office, but outside, he felt a strong urge to throw something at his boss. He overcame it as usual.

“Diego, what’s popping?” Sandra entered his office. “Is Camila awake already?” she asked with a smug look on her face.

“God help you if you’re involved in this. Alejandro won’t spare you this time,” Diego scoffed, sitting down to work on his laptop.

“I wish it was me. You have no idea how much I hate Camila, but I don’t want to get fired, so it wasn’t me. I also hate snakes,” she rolled her eyes, sitting opposite him.

Diego stopped typing to give her a sharp look.

    “What?” she asked, blinking innocently.

“I heard it isn’t you, so you can leave now,” he said plainly.

Sandra laughed as if she couldn’t believe what she heard. “You’re sending me away?” she asked incredulously.

“Did I say it backwards?” Diego raised one of his brows in a questioning look.

“I used to come here anytime I wanted, but now that I’ve been demoted, you’re sending me away. So unbelievable,” she angrily stood up and barged out, but came back a second later.

“When you find that person, please thank them for me because I should have done that myself, especially to you,” she added before walking away.

Diego only rolled his eyes and took his phone. He made a call.

“I sent you a picture. I need you to track down the handwriting and its history for me,” he said to the person on the phone.

    ROYAL RUIZ MANSION

The alarm clock beside Valeria’s bed woke her up. She took the sleeping mask off her eyes and stretched, her head pounding from last night’s party and drinking.

She stood up and entered the bathroom, staring at her reflection as she used the electric toothbrush. After showering and prepping her face, she threw on her uniform, grabbed her bag and phone.

Her phone flashed, and she checked it. An unknown number had sent her a video. She clicked on it, nearly fainting on the spot.

The most admired girl in Briarwood and the only daughter of the Ruiz family has a flaw, the video caption read.

The video showed a drunk Valeria in just a bra and panties, dancing alone in a room. But that wasn’t her main concern; it was the big scar from her stomach down to her thigh. She quickly turned off the video and began texting.

    Who are you?

How much do you want to never show anyone that?

She texted but got no response. Feeling frustrated, she skipped breakfast and rushed to school. Only one person came to mind who could do this.

Isabella arrived and opened her locker to find a chocolate. There was a letter attached to the package, and she opened it.

Sorry I didn’t reply to your messages yesterday, my phone went off. Chocolate to brighten up your day. – Brett.

Isabella smiled and took a bite of the chocolate. She never tired of its sweetness.

“Isa!” Someone called sharply. Isabella looked up to see Valeria looking dangerous, her expression deadly.

“I know it’s you, Isabella. Take it down!” she demanded angrily, her veins popping.

Isabella looked confused. “Take what down?”

“Don’t play with me, Isabella. You sent me that video!” Valeria looked like she was going mad.

“What video? I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Isabella still looked confused.

“You’re messing with me, but that’s not gonna happen.” Valeria moved closer, grabbing Isabella’s arms firmly. “I give you 24 hours, or you won’t like the outcome. Don’t play with me, Isabella. You don’t know what I’m capable of,” she threatened.

“Let go of me!” Isabella snatched her hands back, terrified by Valeria’s sudden behavior. “Don’t ever come at me like that, ever,” she added.

“24 hours, Isabella, or your life will become a living hell here!” Valeria warned, angrily storming off.

“Has she lost her mind? What is she talking about?” Isabella wondered aloud.

He tucked her hair behind her ear. “Your mouth was made just for me, wifey,” he said breathlessly. As seconds passed, Camila felt him growing larger in her mouth.

“I’m going to c*m, and I want you to swallow it,” he said before coming undone with a loud moan. His hands pressed her head tightly against him as he released himself into her mouth, making sure she swallowed every drop.

He then pulled her up, making her stay on his lap.

“You were made just for me.” He kissed her forehead. He didn’t care to analyze what this was or why he felt the need to spend so much time with her recently; he just wanted her close, right here and right now.

Camila stayed in his arms, enjoying the silence. At least he didn’t abandon her or treat her like a slut.

    BRETT’S PLACE

    Knock knock

Brett’s short nap was interrupted by a knock on his window. He got out of bed to check and grimaced at the sight of Elijah.

    “Go away,” he mumbled.

“Please open up, Brett. I’m cold,” Elijah pleaded.

    “Can you leave?” Brett sighed.

“I’ll stay here and freeze if I have to. If you want to see my frozen corpse tomorrow, then don’t open up,” Elijah said seriously.

Brett stared at him in silence before opening the window for Elijah to come in.

“Don’t waste time. Just say what you want and leave. My mom is still awake,” Brett mumbled.

Elijah looked at him and reached out to touch his bandaged nose. “Does it hurt?” he asked with concern.

“You don’t care,” Brett replied coldly.

“I care enough to skip my party to check on you,” Elijah said.

“If you cared enough, you would have come earlier instead of standing there like a coward with your perfect blonde girlfriend,” Brett rolled his eyes.

“Valeria and I are not dating; we’re just friends,” Elijah frowned.

“Luckily, I don’t care. I’m fine. You can leave,” Brett pointed towards the window, indicating for Elijah to go.

“Brett,” Elijah tried to move closer, but Brett pulled away, stopping him.

“I’m a human, Elijah. I’m tired of playing hide and seek with you. Can you leave now?” Brett’s frustration was evident.

“I’m trying to protect us, Brett.”

“No, you’re trying to protect yourself, selfish bastard! Please leave! I’m already getting cold,” Brett pointed angrily at the window.

Elijah clenched his fists, his jaw working. “Fine,” he grunted before turning around and climbing out the window. He paused and turned back. “I don’t like seeing you and Isabella close. It’s making me really mad, and I don’t like being angry. You know that.” He gave Brett a warning look.

“What does that mean?” Brett asked, a hint of fear in his eyes. Instead of replying, Elijah merely smirked, pulled his hoodie over his face, and jumped down from the window.

Brett rushed to check for Elijah’s trail, but he had already disappeared, scaling fences and vanishing into the night. He grabbed his phone and searched for Isabella’s name, sending her a text:

    Are you okay?

About to go to bed. What’s up? – I

Brett read her reply but didn’t respond.

    ??- I

Her message came again, but he still didn’t respond. He turned off his phone and collapsed onto his bed, staring at the ceiling.

“What has my life become?” he wondered to himself.

    CYBER HOUSE

Elijah returned to the house where the party was still going strong. Valeria appeared in front of him, wrapping her arms around his neck.

“Where have you been? I’ve been looking for you everywhere,” she slurred.

Elijah wrinkled his nose at the smell of alcohol. “You’re drunk,” he said.

“I’m not,” she protested, swaying unsteadily.

“The party is over!” Elijah announced.

“Come on, Cap, we were just getting to the fun part,” Ace frowned.

“The party is over, Ace. Take Valeria home,” Elijah said, handing her off to Ace. Valeria staggered in his arms.

“Fine, so boring,” Ace mumbled, taking Valeria outside as the remaining guests were ushered out.

The next day, Camila arrived at her office to find a box waiting for her on her desk. She looked at the employees, confused.

“Who left this here?” she asked.

“It’s your package, ma’am,” Sandra replied. “It arrived earlier today,” she added.

Camila stared at Sandra for a moment before Sandra shrugged.

“I don’t know what’s inside. It’s addressed to you. Maybe it’s from your husband or friends,” Sandra said, almost rolling her eyes in her curiosity.

Camila walked over to the box and opened it. It was a fancy package with an elegant card indicating it was indeed for her. Perhaps it was another surprise from Alejandro, who had taken to surprising her lately.

She opened the box, and everyone gasped at the sight inside. A huge live black snake leaped from the box and bit her.

    “Ahhhhhh!!” Camila screamed.

    Married To The Vengeful Billionaire:

    🔸(His Sweet Torture)🔸

Camila admired herself in the mirror. She was wearing a sleeveless silk lavender gown that hugged her curves perfectly. Her hair was styled in an elegant updo, and her makeup was simple but stunning.

She looked good enough to make Alejandro lose his mind, but she quickly shook off the thought, convincing herself this wasn’t about what Alejandro thought.

There was a knock on her door, and she went to answer it. It was Peter, looking stunned. Her beauty always left him speechless, but after what happened last time, he knew better than to compliment her.

“Mr. Ruiz said I should come get you,” he said, clearing his throat to distract himself from the breathtaking sight.

“He’s not coming home?” Sadness flashed through Camila’s eyes; she had hoped he would pick her up himself.

“He had to attend to something urgently,” Peter informed her.

“Oh,” Camila murmured. Maybe she was misinterpreting things; perhaps his work still took precedence over her.

“Let’s go then,” she mumbled and left the room, heading downstairs to the garage. Peter followed and immediately helped her with the car door.

“Thank you,” she flashed a small smile as she stepped in.

Peter got into the driver’s seat and began the drive. Camila stared out the window, trying not to think about Alejandro. As the cool breeze hit her face, she couldn’t help but think about her family. How was her father doing?

“We’re here, ma’am,” Peter announced as he parked the car. He quickly got out and helped her with the car door.

“Thank you,” Camila said, stepping out and looking around. The ambiance was romantic, but she noticed she was alone.

“Is this the place?” she turned to Peter.

    “Yes, ma’am,” Peter nodded.

“You must be Camila Ruiz,” a smiling waitress approached her.

    “Yes,” Camila nodded.

“Come with me then,” the waitress led the way, and Camila followed. They climbed several romantic steps before reaching the rooftop. The setting was beautiful—two chairs, a table covered with a romantic blanket, a bottle of red wine, and a candle.

The waitress nodded softly and walked away. Camila looked around in amazement. Did Alejandro do all this? She couldn’t help but smile.

“Not longer starving?” a familiar voice that sent shivers down her spine sounded behind her. Camila slowly turned to see Alejandro standing there, his hands behind his back.

His eyes glimmered at the sight of her; she looked absolutely stunning.

“I thought you had a business meeting to attend?” Camila stuttered, blinking lightly to distract herself from the fact that he looked breathtakingly gorgeous.

“This was the important business I had to attend to. I needed to make sure this place looked attractive enough for you,” he replied.

“You really thought of me while doing this?” Camila’s eyes became misty.

“If I didn’t think of you, then who else would I think of?” Alejandro laughed softly, pulling a rose from his pocket and handing it to her.

She took it, and he led her to the seats. He pulled out her chair and, once she was seated, sat opposite her, admiring her face.

Camila sniffed the flower. “It smells so good,” she said.

“Yes, but your scent is even sweeter,” he smirked, making Camila blush. “Lavender suits you. You should wear it more often, but I prefer it when your hair is down. Can you let it down for me?” he asked.

Camila bit her lip and loosened her updo, letting her hair fall to her shoulders.

    “Beautiful,” Alejandro muttered.

“Thanks,” Camila smiled as a waitress approached them.

“Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Ruiz. Welcome to the Cuddle Dine. What can we offer you both?” she asked but kept glancing at Alejandro.

Camila found it annoying. “What do you have for us to order?” she asked, but the waitress didn’t reply, too busy admiring Alejandro.

Alejandro felt irritated by the waitress’s behavior. “I thought my wife asked you a question?” he asked, giving her a stern look.

“I’m sorry, ma’am. Here is our menu with our best dishes and drinks,” she replied, handing the menu to Camila.

Camila looked through it and placed her order.

“I’ll have whatever she’s having,” Alejandro told the waitress.

She nodded respectfully and walked away. Alejandro noticed Camila was frowning.

    “What’s wrong?” he asked, concerned.

    “Nothing,” she mumbled.

    “Tell me,” he insisted.

“That waitress was so annoying. I know you’re handsome, but she didn’t have to make it so obvious. She kept glancing at you and ignoring the fact that you’re married,” Camila ranted, stopping when she saw Alejandro smiling.

“Is this funny to you?” she asked angrily. “If you think I’m being stupid, then you can take your wedding ring and put it on her damn finger!” she scoffed.

“You just admitted I’m handsome,” Alejandro said, making Camila look at him speechlessly.

    “What?”

“Yes, you heard me. You just admitted that I’m handsome and can’t get me off your mind,” he smirked.

“I never said that,” Camila blinked.

“Admit it, you think I’m handsome and want to kiss me badly. You can’t get me out of your head,” he said, staring intensely into her eyes.

“I…” Camila glanced at his lips. They seemed pinker every day. She shifted her gaze to his eyes, and the intensity in them burned even more.

“Stop it, Camila,” Alejandro’s voice was husky.

“Stop what?” Camila’s gaze moved to his lips again.

“Stop looking at me with those eyes. I’m serious,” he warned.

“What eyes?” Camila asked innocently. Before Alejandro could reply, the waitress returned with their food.

She nodded respectfully and left, trying not to look at them before she got fired.

“Food is here. I’m starving,” Camila said, digging her fork into the pasta and rolling it into her mouth.

“This is really good. You should try it,” she urged him to eat, but he just kept staring at her. She shrugged and took another bite, licking off the sauce that glistened on her lips.

“Damn, Camila,” Alejandro groaned, unable to hold back any longer. “Come over here, please,” he said with pleading eyes.

    “I’m eating,” Camila replied.

“Come over, Camila,” he warned this time. Camila stood up and walked toward him. He pulled her down onto his lap.

    “Alejandro,” Camila said, taken aback.

“It’s just us here. You don’t have to worry about anything,” he whispered, pressing her against his groin. “You see how hard you made me? You have to pay for it,” he whispered, biting her earlobe.

“I want to touch your pussy so bad,” he placed his hands on her thighs, moving upward.

“But… I’m on my period,” Camila reminded him.

“Fuck it,” he groaned into her neck.

“You really want to touch it? I’m a heavy bleeder,” she told him.

“How long does your period last?” he asked.

    “Five days,” she replied.

“And how many days gone?” he asked again.

    “Three days.”

“Fuck, Camila, you’re so dead when it stops. I’ll make sure you can’t walk for three days straight,” he whispered in her ear.

Camila gulped, imagining what would happen once her period ended. She was so turned on that she feared staining him. She got off his lap and knelt on the floor, pulling her hair to the side.

“What are you doing?” Alejandro asked, his chest pounding with need.

“Just relax,” she smirked, bringing her hands to caress his bulge through his pants. “You’re so hard,” she squeezed, feeling his body stiffen and his breath hitch.

She unzipped his pants, and he sprung free to her face. Her eyes widened at the sight. Does he get bigger every day? The last time she sucked him, he wasn’t this big.

“Stroke it with your two hands, Camila,” Alejandro could hardly breathe as Camila held his dick with both hands, and it still felt heavy for her.

She began stroking slowly while he closed his eyes, taking deep breaths. Within seconds, she increased her pace.

“Spit on it, Camila,” he instructed, his neck veins bulging from her torture.

She smirked, looking up at him and squeezing. “I’m in charge. You don’t get to tell me what to do.”

“Ahh… you’re squeezing a little hard,” he groaned.

“Am I?” she smirked, applying more pressure.

“Fuck, Camila, just spit on it and get it wet,” Alejandro groaned, feeling like he was losing his mind. “Don’t make me forget you’re on your period and bend you over to f*ck that sexy asshole,” he said breathlessly.

His words went straight to Camila’s core. She spat on his dick and stroked it faster before taking him fully into her mouth. Alejandro felt as though his mind was about to fly away; her mouth was so warm, even warmer than he remembered from before.

“Nice doing business with you, Mr. Ruiz. I’ll make the transfer right now,” the client said during a video call with Alejandro before the line disconnected.

Alejandro closed his laptop and picked up the telephone. He dialed Diego’s number.

“Report to my office this instant,” he instructed and hung up.

A few seconds later, Diego appeared. His office was just next door, and it remained a mystery why Alejandro preferred to take the lazy way, but who was he to question.

“You called for me, sir,” Diego answered.

“I want you to rent one of the best romantic restaurants for me to use this evening,” he ordered.

“Are you planning to take your wife out?” Diego asked, immediately regretting it under Alejandro’s sharp gaze.

“Forgive me, boss. I’m on it right now,” Diego respectfully bowed and left the office.

“What did Mr. Alejandro tell you to do?” Sandra asked, sneaking up behind Diego.

“I don’t think you’ve learned your lesson. Alejandro was kind not to fire you, so if I were you, I wouldn’t be all up in his business,” Diego scoffed as he walked to his office.

Sandra only rolled her eyes. She had been on suspension and was back today but didn’t find Camila in the office. The employees said Alejandro had made her stay home because she wasn’t feeling well.

“That bitch,” she cursed, clenching her fist as she thought of Camila and her annoying face.

“No one double-crosses me and thinks they can get away freely. When I’m done with you, even Alejandro won’t be able to save you,” she scoffed before returning to her office.

    BRIARWOOD SCHOOL ★

The election was over, and the school had already recognized Valeria as the school president. It was all the students talked about as Isabella went to her locker to get her notebook for class.

A chocolate bar suddenly appeared in her view, and she looked up to see Brett smiling at her.

“A happy chocolate to brighten up your mood,” he said, wiggling his eyebrows.

“I don’t want it,” Isabella mumbled sadly and took her book, heading to class. But Brett followed her.

“Trust me, one bite, and you’ll forget all about today,” he insisted, waving the chocolate in her face.

Isabella stopped, having no option but to take the chocolate. She opened it and took a bite, her eyes brightening at the sweetness.

“This is really good. Where did you get this?” she asked, taking more bites.

“My mom makes them. Last night, your brother-in-law came to get some for your sister,” Brett told her.

“Really? He did?” Isabella looked surprised, and Brett shrugged as his reply.

“It’s really good. A happy chocolate indeed,” Isabella said, eating more of the bar.

Before they reached the classroom, they bumped into her ex-friends. Abby had a smug look on her face when she saw her.

“Isabella, you didn’t even care to congratulate me on becoming the vice president. Something I would never have achieved if I was still your friend,” Abby said, showing off her vice president badge.

“Ignore them, Isa,” Brett said, holding Isabella’s hand and trying to lead her to the classroom. But Gloria blocked their path.

“Aren’t you pathetic? You lost everything and finally became the loser you are,” Gloria said, eyeing Brett. “I mean, she even made friends with a loser boy now.”

    Abby laughed.

“Watch what you say. Brett might be poor, but he’s better than an attention-seeking backstabber like you,” Isabella clapped back, which made Brett laugh.

“It’s not worth it, let’s go,” Brett whispered to Isabella, trying to pull her away from the girls.

“That’s right, go, Isabella, because that’s all you know how to do. When things don’t go your way, you run like the coward you are,” Abby said loudly enough for Isabella to hear.

“What did you just say?” Isabella tried to confront her, but Brett held her back.

“Don’t do it. You’ll just get yourself in more trouble than you already are. You’re still on suspension, remember?” he tried reasoning with her, but she was too stubborn.

“I’ve let you slide for so long. I should finally put you in your place since we are no longer friends,” Isabella struggled to break free from Brett’s grip to lunge at Abby while Chappell and Gloria held Abby back.

The struggle was intense, and Isabella accidentally hit Brett on the nose to break free.

“Ouch!” he winced, covering his nose, but it didn’t stop the bleeding.

As much as she wanted to grab Abby by the hair and slap her, she couldn’t leave Brett hurt.

“What’s going on?” Elijah suddenly appeared with Valeria beside him. His eyes went to Brett, then Isabella.

    “What happened here?” he asked.

“I’m sure it was Isabella. All she does is cause trouble, and I should report her to the principal for not learning her lesson,” Valeria said scornfully.

“Isabella didn’t do anything. It was me who hit my nose on the wall,” Brett lied.

“Don’t cover for her!” Valeria flashed Brett a warning look.

    “I’m not…”

“Valeria, just leave them. Do you want to come to the cyber house to celebrate later? I’m throwing a party,” Elijah said softly to her while Isabella clenched her fists.

“Fine,” Valeria rolled her eyes and walked away. Abby, Gloria, and Chappell had already left.

Elijah’s eyes were on Brett until Isabella’s voice drew his attention.

“You’ve been avoiding me, Elijah. Are you with Valeria now?” she asked painfully.

Elijah wanted to say something, but he couldn’t think.

“You’ve found someone better. You’re such an asshole, aren’t you?” Isabella shouted.

“Let’s go, Isabel. Walk me to the hospital,” Brett mumbled, holding Isabella’s hand and pulling her away from the hallway.

As they left, Brett turned back to see Elijah still watching them. He turned away and continued walking.

“I really don’t like seeing you with her, Brett,” Elijah mumbled.

    RUIZ MANSION ★

It was evening, and Camila felt much better with the maids’ care. She worked on some building plans for a few hours before taking an evening shower. Alejandro was planning to take her out for dinner, and that’s all she had been thinking about.

Unknowingly, she kept checking the time to see if it was time for Alejandro to come home.

Her phone dinged, a message from Alejandro. She didn’t know when her heart skipped a beat.

How are you feeling? – A

Much better. When are you planning to get home? – C

Sounds like you miss me – A

Camila rolled her eyes, trying to deny it to herself.

    Don’t flatter yourself. I’m starving – C

Start getting really sexy for me. I’ll be home in a few minutes – A

Camila’s face heated as she read the text. Sexy for him? She wanted to scream that he was so full of it, but at the same time, she loved it.

An idea popped into her mind. Alejandro couldn’t touch her because she was on her period, so why not punish him instead?

    Married To The Vengeful Billionaire:

    🔸(His Sweet Torture)🔸

NEXT DAY, RUIZ ROYAL ESTATE ★

    👥 Good morning, Mr. Ruiz!

    👥 Welcome, Mr. Ruiz!

👥 Hope you had a wonderful night, Mr. Ruiz!

Alejandro arrived at the company without Camila. Her cramps had worsened, so he left her at home with the maids to look after her.

“Good morning, boss,” Diego greeted, taking Alejandro’s briefcase and instructing an employee to deliver it to the office.

“The members are waiting in the boardroom. You’re late for the first time. I hope everything is alright at home?” Diego asked worriedly as they walked to the meeting room.

About ten wealthy-looking clients were seated, each with a bottle of water on their desks, waiting for Alejandro to arrive.

“My apologies for being late today. My wife is not in the best of health,” he said casually, taking his seat at the head of the table.

“We hope she gets better soon, Mr. Alejandro. Your wife is such a beauty to fall ill,” a male client commented, earning a glare from Alejandro.

“You don’t seem serious about this meeting, Mr. William. Perhaps I should have security escort you out,” Alejandro said sternly.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Ruiz,” William apologized.

Alejandro waited calmly for his anger to subside before starting the meeting.

“For some time now, we have been working on a 10-star hotel here at Ruiz Royal Estate. Many exclusive building plans and other valuable resources have been offered, and I’m pleased to share that the work has commenced. Next week, we will all take a tour to observe the progress,” Alejandro announced.

The board members applauded in agreement.

“We are still open to suggestions. Anyone willing to add or provide more information is welcome,” Diego said, and some board members began sharing their contributions.

A few minutes later, the meeting concluded, and the members dispersed to their respective units. Alejandro didn’t go to his office; instead, he walked with Diego to the electronics factory to check on progress.

“Mr. Ruiz, it’s good to see you again,” a man in work gear greeted Alejandro. He nodded at a worker beside him, who immediately ran inside and returned with two safety jackets, goggles, and earplugs, handing them respectfully to Alejandro and Diego.

Alejandro donned the gear before entering the factory. The noise from the machines made communication difficult, hence the earplugs and mouth speakers.

“These are the new machines that were shipped in yesterday. Some are undergoing testing by the workers, but these here are reliable. We will transport them to the building tomorrow,” Jeremy said confidently.

“I hope I can trust you. This is a very important project, and I want it kept exclusive until we are ready to launch,” Alejandro ordered.

“Yes, Mr. Ruiz,” Jeremy nodded respectfully.

Alejandro looked around a bit more before walking away with Diego. Jeremy addressed the workers.

“You heard Mr. Ruiz; he wants everything perfect,” he announced, his eyes falling on a male worker who passed by with some tools, accidentally dropping some screwdrivers.

“Rosalie, do you really have to be clumsy every time?” he scolded.

“I’m sorry, boss,” she quickly apologized, picking up everything she had dropped.

    BRIARWOOD SCHOOL ★

The students were gathered in the hall as the principal stood at the podium, making an important announcement.

“Firstly, before I proceed to why we are here, I want everyone to know that getting into Briarwood is an honor. Whatever your status is, your future is already bright,” Principal Laurel said, and the students clapped.

Isabella was sitting at the back, watching her friends laugh with Valeria, all sitting in her spot. She couldn’t fight it anymore; she felt there was no need to fight for anything.

“So, as we all know, this is our final year, and the school will be assigning different posts to outstanding students. The female vice president position goes to Abby Morgan,” Principal Laurel announced, and the students clapped as Abby made her way to the stage to accept her badge.

“Bitch,” Isabella muttered, crossing her legs angrily.

“And the male vice president position goes to Tyler Bassett.”

The students clapped as a well-dressed male student made his way to the podium to accept his badge.

“The female school president position goes to Valeria Ruiz!”

Valeria proudly stood up, walking majestically to the podium to accept her badge. She stood in front of the mic and cleared her throat, the applause growing louder at her mere presence.

“Thank you is not enough to express my gratitude for your support. I have just joined Briarwood, and I feel so welcomed. You even went as far as voting for me as not just your chair captain, but school president,” she said sweetly.

Isabella couldn’t help but roll her eyes. No matter how sweet Valeria’s voice was, she could still see the cunning beneath her façade.

Her eyes found Isabella’s, and she smirked. “You all really make me feel like the queen of Briarwood.”

👥 You are our queen, Valeria!

👥 If not you, then who else!

    👥 You’re an icon, Valeria!

    👥 We love you!

The students chanted for her, but her eyes never left Isabella, giving her a taunting look. Isabella clenched her fists, the next words she heard were Valeria’s.

“I can be the queen if I want to, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

Isabella ran out of the hall in anger and embarrassment.

The male school president was next to accept his badge, but it didn’t matter anymore.

    Married To The Vengeful Billionaire:

    🔸(His Sweet Torture)🔸

The Next morning, Camila was woken up by little noises before someone knocked on her door and entered.

It was Daniela, Alejandro’s mom, and she came with a flask.

“My mother called me this morning. She said she spoke to you last night and you were on your period. She also said Alejandro has been spoiling you with sweet treats,” she twitched her lips as she walked in.

    Camila smiled shyly.

“I brought you ginger soup. It’s really delicious and helps reduce cramps. I make sure my daughter takes this every time she’s on her period, and drink it while it’s hot,” Daniela said softly.

“Thank you, Mom,” Camila smiled sweetly.

Daniela said a few more things to Camila before leaving the room to meet Alejandro sitting in the living room, crossing his legs on the sofa as he worked online with his laptop on his lap.

“I know you’re a workaholic, but try being nice to your wife. She’s looking so stressed. Have you tried taking her out yet? Maybe dinner or someplace fun, something to make her feel special,” Daniela went to the kitchen to wash her hands as she spoke.

“She already feels special by staying in this mansion with me,” Alejandro rolled his eyes.

“Alejandro,” Daniela gave him a thoughtful look, and he sighed.

    “I’m busy, Mom.”

“But you found time to get her chocolate. Your grandma told me that,” Daniela crossed her arms under her breasts, giving Alejandro a look that said he had no excuse.

“Fine, you win, Mom. I’ll take her out for dinner, alright?” Alejandro rolled his eyes.

“That’s good. I’ll get going now,” Daniela gave Alejandro a peck on the cheek before walking away with the two bodyguards who came with her.

Alejandro sat, thinking for a while, before the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs made him look up.

It was Camila, dressed in a big hoodie and joggers.

“Good morning,” she greeted him, coming to sit on the couch opposite him.

“Morning,” he replied, which stunned her. She didn’t think he would ever reply to her.

Did he hit his head on something today? She couldn’t help but think.

“Your mother’s soup was delicious; it made me feel a little better,” she mumbled.

“Good,” Alejandro responded. His mother had always been a good cook. “She learned from my grandmother. It’s just that I’m so busy, I don’t get the chance to eat at home often, but when I do, it’s always the best,” he nodded in agreement with her.

“Then you should try spending more time with your family,” Camila suggested.

“I need to work,” he simply said.

“Health is wealth, and besides, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy,” Camila scoffed.

Alejandro smirked, closing his laptop. “Is that so? Do you want us to play right here, right now, on this couch?”

Camila’s face grew red again. “It’s not that kind of play I’m talking about.”

“What kind of play am I thinking about?” He leaned back on the couch. He loved teasing her and watching her turn red as tomatoes.

“I’m hungry. What are we having for breakfast?” Camila changed the topic immediately.

“But you just had ginger soup,” Alejandro narrowed his eyes.

“But now I’m craving something else, like pancakes and toast,” she pouted.

“Your parents didn’t tell me I married a glutton,” Alejandro huffed.

“And you never asked, so deal with it,” Camila rolled her eyes, standing up and heading to the kitchen to look for something to eat.

The maids were always on leave on Sundays, so she helped herself with some eggs and bread.

“Have you had anything yet? Do you want some egg toast?” she offered as she cracked some eggs in a bowl.

“Sure,” Alejandro took his gaze back to his laptop to continue working. Camila smiled as she made breakfast, loving where this was going. She enjoyed having a normal conversation with him; it just felt right.

After a few minutes, she brought the plate of toast to him with freshly squeezed orange juice.

“My mother knows how to cook, so I learned from her,” she said, sitting beside him and facing the TV.

“Hmm, delicious,” Alejandro took a bite of the toast. “Will you feel better if we go out for dinner tomorrow evening?” he then asked.

“You want to take me out for dinner? Like a date?” Camila looked surprised.

“Does it have another name?” Alejandro looked both confused and sarcastic.

“I’m just surprised you’re taking me out. You’re always so busy,” Camila shook her head in surprise.

“So is that a yes, then?” He raised one of his brows.

“I mean, if I say no, you’d probably fling me over your shoulder and force me to go,” Camila scoffed, taking another bite of her toast.

Alejandro smirked and brought his fingers to her lips to wipe off the sauce. She froze at the contact of his thumb on her lips and how intensely he was looking at her.

“You should be thankful you’re on your period. I’d really love to strip you out of that hoodie and make you scream my name over and over,” he said huskily, then moved his thumb to his lips to have a taste.

“Delicious,” he winked, causing Camila to blink speechlessly. Just what the hell was it with this man and doing things to her?

Alejandro was seated in his car, on the way back to the mansion, when he noticed a treats shop. The first thing that came to his mind was Camila and how her face brightens whenever she sees chocolate.

“Stop here,” he ordered his driver, Peter.

Peter stopped the car, looking confused as he watched Alejandro open the car door and step out, heading toward the treats store.

“What is wrong with him?” Peter asked himself.

Alejandro stepped into the store, feeling uncomfortable with how small the place was compared to the supermarkets he was used to shopping in.

“Good evening, sir. We were about to close,” the saleswoman, who looked about 40, approached him with a polite smile. “But don’t worry, I can help you. Are you looking for something for your wife, your mom, or your sister?” she asked briskly.

“Brett, get a chair for our customer,” she shouted. It was the first time a rich man had walked into their little store, and she didn’t want to scare him away.

“There’s no need,” Alejandro stopped Brett from approaching. “I just need your best chocolate, something that can help a woman forget she’s on her period,” he said.

“There are different kinds of chocolate that can brighten the mood, but I’ll give you my very best,” she smiled and turned to Brett. “Get the happy chocolate,” she ordered him.

Brett nodded and returned a few minutes later with a chocolate.

“Trust me, sir, your wife won’t be able to have just one bite, so I’d advise you to get two,” she tried to convince him.

Alejandro didn’t need convincing. “Give me ten,” he said casually, causing the woman’s eyes to widen.

“Ten?” she repeated, making sure she heard correctly.

“Ten, and if my wife likes it, I’ll come back to buy the whole shop,” Alejandro looked serious, though one might think he was joking.

She quickly packed the chocolates and packaged them for him. Alejandro didn’t waste a second to pay before leaving.

“Brett, he just bought ten!” she turned to Brett, surprised.

    “I saw, and that’s Isabella’s brother-in-law, Mom,” Brett replied.

“Your new friend Isabella?” the woman asked.

    “Hmm,” Brett nodded.

“If this is her brother-in-law, then she must be very rich.”

    “She’s perfect, Mom,” Brett smiled.

    RUIZ MANSION ★

Alejandro returned to the mansion to find Camila sitting on the couch with a blanket wrapped around her legs as she watched TV.

“Why aren’t you asleep yet?” he asked as he approached her.

“I was waiting for you so we could have dinner together,” she replied simply, not taking her eyes off the TV screen.

“You were waiting for me? Does this mean you’ve forgiven me?” he asked with hopeful eyes.

“Have you been trying to gain my forgiveness?” Camila narrowed her eyes at him.

“Did I say that?” Alejandro cleared his throat and handed her the bags of chocolate. “It’s called happy chocolate; you can’t have just one bite, so I bought many,” he said. She happily took the bags at the sight of the chocolate.

“I’ve never seen this one before; it looks different,” she said, opening the packaging and tasting it.

“Urgh, this is so good,” she moaned happily.

“I’m starting to think you’re doing this on purpose,” Alejandro frowned.

    “Doing what?”

“Making those sounds, knowing well that it affects me. Seems like you want me to strip off those clothes and use them to tie your hands and legs to the bed,” he said seriously, and Camila was taken aback.

“Can I not do anything?” she asked, unable to help but ask.

“Anything that will torture me, wifey,” he winked before going upstairs to change.

Camila couldn’t get the wink out of her mind. It was the first time she had seen him do something other than frown or smirk, and he looked deadly handsome.

A little while later, Alejandro came downstairs with a phone to his ear. He looked tired of the noises in the background, and Camila could tell it was his grandparents.

“Camila, my dear, how are you doing?” the old woman’s face on the screen asked Camila.

“Hi, Grandma, good evening. I’m doing fine,” Camila flashed a sweet smile.

“Manuel, look at her; she’s so pretty. Our grandson has good taste in women,” Selena put the phone to an old man’s face, whom Camila recognized as Alejandro’s grandfather.

“My grandson got his taste from me,” Manuel said proudly as he brushed his white long beard with his hands, while Alejandro rolled his eyes at his grandfather.

“My dear, Alejandro told us you’re sick. Is it a fever?” Selena looked worried.

“Is it malaria?” Manuel added, and Camila couldn’t help but give Alejandro a questioning look.

“I’m not sick, Grandma and Grandpa. I’m just on my period,” Camila replied.

“You’re sure you’re not sick?” Manuel asked.

“It’s different, Manuel. Being on your period doesn’t necessarily mean you’re sick,” Selena explained to her husband.

“What is the difference exactly? Do you remember back then when we were young? You’d never get up from the bed because your period kicked in. You were always groaning, crying, craving different things, and I always had to service you to reduce the cramps,” Manuel said.

    “Hey!” Selena hit him.

“Don’t ‘Manuel’ me. Our grandkids are no longer children. Alejandro, come closer,” Manuel took the phone from Selena, calling Alejandro, who tiredly answered him.

“Do you know good sex can help with cramps? If your wife’s pain gets too much, then do your work so it reduces,” Manuel said.

“Noted, Grandpa,” Alejandro nodded attentively, while Camila’s cheeks grew pink. Alejandro’s grandfather was just as ignorant as him because how could he even say that without flinching?

“Thank you for your advice, Grandpa, but I have to go now. My wife and I haven’t had dinner yet,” Alejandro informed them.

“Eating is very important, especially for women on their period. I know your wife must crave lots of sweet things, but don’t spoil her too much. Chocolates add to the cramps,” Selena advised.

“No, it does not,” Camila pouted.

“Selena, let them be now. Make sure to take care of your wife, Alejandro. Goodbye,” Manuel quickly ended the call, and whatever happened next was no longer Alejandro’s business.

“You heard Grandma. Ditch the chocolate, because if you cry from cramps, then I’m taking you to the bed and fucking you till daybreak,” he smirked, and Camila couldn’t resist throwing a pillow at him.

“Why are you so raw?” she asked, squeezing her face as she made her way to the dining room for dinner.

    🔸(His Sweet Torture)🔸

    NEXT MORNING; RUIZ MANSION ★

The knock on the door disturbed Camila’s sleep. She struggled to get up from bed, holding her stomach in pain as she reached for the door.

“Good morning, ma’am. I hope you had a good night.” A maid’s smiley face welcomed her. “Mr. Ruiz sent me to remind you to start packing. He said you both are leaving today.”

Camila checked the calendar on the wall. She hadn’t kept track of the days. It was Saturday, and Alejandro had told her they would be visiting their family today.

“Alright, I’ll be down in an hour,” Camila said to the maid, who nodded politely and excused herself.

Camila went to the bathroom to have her shower. She hated this time of the month, but she managed to get clean and put on a lazy outfit. After spending some minutes packing the things she would need, she went downstairs to join Alejandro for breakfast.

For the first time, he was eating something other than drinking coffee. When he saw Camila, his gaze darkened.

“Why are you dressed like that?” he asked with a gloomy expression.

“Can we not do this now, please?” Camila tiredly sat down, dragging some pancakes towards her, but she couldn’t eat.

“Why are you not eating?” He questioned, concern evident on his face.

    “I’m not hungry,” Camila mumbled.

“You’re never not hungry in the morning,” he called her bluff.

“And since when do you care?” Camila looked annoyed.

“Tell me what you want to eat,” Alejandro ordered.

    “Nothing,” Camila sighed.

“You think I will really let you leave here with nothing in your stomach? Do you need me to ask the maids to make fresh pancakes?” he kept insisting.

“It’s not the pancakes. When I’m in my time of the month, I don’t really crave food. My stomach is torturing me right now, so can you not!” Camila snapped, standing up and leaving the dining room.

Alejandro stayed quiet for a while before calling the head maid over.

“Yes, Mr. Ruiz?” Lucy respectfully approached him.

“What do you think my wife would eat while she’s on her period?” he asked.

Lucy looked stunned by the question. She never imagined Alejandro ever asking this or speaking to her so calmly.

    “Sir?” she was taken back.

Alejandro frowned. “Did I stutter when I asked you that question?”

“I’m sorry, sir. When women are on their time of the month, I don’t think they need to be stressed. They just want to stay in bed, and they mostly have a sweet tooth,” Lucy explained.

“If that’s so, then I want you to get treats for my wife,” Alejandro ordered, and she nodded politely, going to do as he said.

Alejandro took more sips of his coffee before standing up. He took his phone from his pants pocket and dialed a number. After some minutes, he went to Camila’s room and found her lying on the bed, fully covered.

“If you’re not feeling too well today, we can go another time. Is that okay?” he asked gently as he sat on the edge of the bed.

    Camila stared at him silently.

    “What’s wrong?” his brows furrowed.

“Why are you being nice to me? Is everything alright?” she couldn’t help but ask.

Alejandro sighed. He wanted to reply, but Lucy entered, holding a bag containing the items Alejandro had instructed her to get.

“Here are your treats, Mrs. Ruiz. I also got you a belly massager in case the pain gets worse, some painkillers, and some extra tampons. If you’re hungry, use the phone on the stand to call us, and what you want will be served to you in bed,” Lucy said politely.

“Thank you, Lucy,” Camila took the bag from her.

Alejandro watched her bring out the things Lucy had bought for her. The only thing he could recognize was the chocolates.

“What else is there about women that I don’t know of?” he asked, picking up the belly massager.

“If you start being attentive, you would know,” Camila scoffed, taking the massager back from him.

“Whatever,” Alejandro mumbled. “I called my grandparents and informed them we can’t make it today,” he said.

“Why?” Camila gave him a questioning look.

“You’re not in the right shape. You are even struggling to stand up from the bed,” he said matter-of-factly.

Camila rolled her eyes and picked up a chocolate. She tasted it and closed her eyes, moaning at the sweetness.

That sound went straight to Alejandro’s groin. He tried to ignore it, but she kept eating the chocolate and moaning, even going as far as licking the stains off her fingers.

His body was begining to react now.

“Keep doing that, and you won’t like the outcome,” his voice was gruffy while he flashed her a warning look.

Camila opened her eyes to meet his darkened gaze. She cleared her throat, forgetting he was still there with her.

    “You’re still here?”

“You want me to leave so you can keep molesting the chocolate?” he asked instead.

    “You-” Camila was speechless.

“Tell me something, wifey. The chocolate or my c*ck deep in your throat. Which is sweeter?” His wild question took her by surprise, and she wished it didn’t affect her.

Her cheeks grew pink. “How… What…” She didn’t know how to reply to him, and luckily, his phone rang, saving her.

He checked the caller and stood up.

“If you need anything, call the maids. Anyone who gives you a hard time, then report to me immediately,” he informed her before leaning in to place his lips on her neck and walking away.

Camila touched the spot on her neck where he kissed her and pouted her lips. Why does he keep doing things to her without trying? She thought to herself.

    MARCUS GLOBAL VENTURES ★

The claps of the clients echoed through the boardroom as a member just finished his presentation.

“We have come to the end of the meeting today. We meet again tomorrow,” Rafael announced before standing up and leaving the boardroom.

He went to his office to find Ximena sitting in his swivel chair, rolling it around. A smile formed on her face when she saw him.

“Baby, I’ve been waiting for you!” She flew from her chair into his arms, giving him a deep kiss on the lips.

Rafael did not reciprocate the kiss. Instead, he pulled her back.

    “What are you doing here?”

“You’re seriously asking me this? Since when am I not allowed to come visit you?” She looked irritated by his question.

Julian entered the office, holding a file.

“Boss, here is what you asked for,” he said, dropping the file on the table.

“Julian, escort Ximena out. I’m not in the mood for her today,” Rafael ordered his assistant before he could leave.

“You’re kicking me out? Is it because of Alejandro Ruiz’s wife?” she asked angrily, and Rafael’s gaze darkened.

“Send her away now and call to inform me the next time she steps foot in here,” Rafael rolled his eyes before going to his chair.

“You’re such an an*mal, Rafael! After everything I’ve had my parents do for you, you’re kicking me out for some married woman?” Ximena complained as Julian dragged her out by the arms.

“She’s not even prettier than me!!” Ximena shouted again until her voice could no longer be heard.

Rafael did not mind anything happening. He took a picture of Camila on his table and caressed her face and lips. He couldn’t help recalling her at the event party, her smile, her gown, and how it showcased her curves and cleavage perfectly. But then the image of Alejandro returned, holding her by the waist with a possessive look.

    Married To The Vengeful Billionaire:

    🔸(His Sweet Torture)🔸

Camila looked stunned as she moved closer. She took a moment to touch the flowers gently, making sure they weren’t fake and wouldn’t explode any second now. But they were real.

She picked up the ruby chocolate, her favorite, and looked at it with mixed emotions as she was suddenly taken back to eight years ago. Ruby chocolate had always been her favorite, but her family had expected her to be perfect, limiting her from eating it. Alejandro had worked twice as hard just to get it for her back then.

“Do you want me to get you bigger flowers or another flavor of chocolate? You can tell me,” Camila turned back to the familiar voice. Alejandro was standing behind her, looking like he had just gotten back from work.

“Why?” was all Camila could manage to ask.

“You don’t want it?” He looked worried.

“Why are you giving me gifts, Alejandro?” Camila repeated, noticing his breath hitch. He was struggling to apologize, and she knew it.

“Don’t push it. Can you not make things hard for me and just accept my gift?” He groaned.

“I will accept them if you tell me why you want me to have them. Or maybe it’s another attempt to hurt me again.” Camila narrowed her eyes.

Alejandro’s jaw tightened. “Is that all you think of me?”

“Well, you didn’t leave me a choice to begin with,” she replied, her eyes teary.

“I’m a monster, if that’s what you need to hear to feel better,” Alejandro angrily began to walk away.

“You’re such an asshole!” Camila shouted after him as he left, but he never turned back. She turned to the flowers and chocolate on the bed.

“Why is he so difficult?” she muttered, pouting her lips. She couldn’t resist tasting the chocolate.

“Delicious,” she smiled, taking another piece but unknown to her, Alejandro was secretly watching.

    BRETT’S APARTMENT★

“Goodnight, Mom,” he greeted before entering his room and locking his door. However, he froze at the sight of the person comfortably sitting on his bed.

“How did you get in here?” he asked, his eyes moving to the open window. He couldn’t help but slap his forehead, scolding himself silently for always forgetting to lock it.

    “Leave,” Brett said tiredly.

“And if I don’t want to?”

“Then you should consider what people would think if they found out the leader of Cyber Boy is sneaking into the low-life scholarship room in the middle of the night through his window,” Brett threatened.

“You wouldn’t do that,” Elijah smirked, standing up from the bed and moving towards him.

“Keep taking steps closer and watch me,” Brett said, picking up his phone.

Elijah, however, kept advancing towards him.

“I’m warning you, I don’t care about anything anymore. I just want you to leave,” Brett pointed his phone at him like it was a weapon.

“You haven’t changed one bit, Brett. You’re so adorable,” Elijah smiled and got closer. He grabbed Brett by the shoulders and pinned him to the wall.

“You don’t want me to leave,” he whispered in Brett’s ear.

“I do,” Brett’s voice was cracking.

“You don’t,” Elijah tasted his neck, his lips trailing upwards until they met Brett’s. “Stop me if you don’t want this,” he said before locking their lips together.

Brett gave in to the kiss. It had been so long since he’d done this, and he couldn’t lie; he missed it. Going undercover with the boy all the girls wanted and doing stuff like this in private.

“I miss you, Brett. I didn’t like it when I saw you with Isabella today,” Elijah whispered against his lips as he worked the buttons of Brett’s shirt.

“But you left me first for her,” Brett replied, also taking off Elijah’s clothes.

Elijah responded by leading Brett to the bed. After some minutes, they were naked, covered in blankets, and trying to catch their breath.

“You shouldn’t have come here,” Brett mumbled.

“I just can’t help it,” Elijah replied.

“But you know we can’t work. My mom won’t accept me, your parents won’t accept you, the world won’t accept us, especially you. And if I told you I’m willing to risk it, then can you risk telling everyone that you’re gay?” Brett asked, and Elijah clenched his jaw, not saying anything.

“You’re such a coward. This shouldn’t have happened,” Brett sighed, standing up from the bed and pulling on his boxers.

“Leave my room, Elijah,” he pointed to the window. “And don’t ever come back,” he added.

“Brett…” Elijah dragged his name with pleading eyes.

“Just go away,” Brett yelled this time, and Elijah stood up, putting on his clothes as he prepared to leave.

“Elijah,” Brett called before he could climb out the window, making him pause. “You can go ahead and date lots of girls, brunette, blonde, brown hair, or black hair. Kiss them and sleep with them, fill your head with lies, but it won’t change who you are,” he uttered with a grimace expression.

Elijah did not respond. He exited through the window, and Brett angrily locked it. He punched the wall in frustration, his eyes red from the tears threatening to fall.

“How can I let myself be carried away again,” he gripped his hair painfully, regretting everything that just happened.

    Married To The Vengeful Billionaire:

    🔸(His Sweet Torture)🔸

The door opened, and Camila stepped in.

“Camila, we were just talking about you,” Fernando welcomed her with a smile.

“Nice to meet you too, Fernando. May I know what you were discussing?” She avoided Alejandro’s gaze.

“Alejandro was just telling me about how pretty you—”

“Fernando, if you didn’t come here for business, kindly leave before I have my security escort you out,” Alejandro flashed him a warning look.

Fernando padlocked his mouth with his hands.

“I came to drop the building plans of the week,” Camila said, dropping some files on his table and beginning to leave.

“Camila,” Alejandro called, and she stopped her steps. “Never mind.”

She rolled her eyes and left, closing the door behind her. Fernando waved his hands in front of Alejandro’s face.

    “What?” Alejandro frowned at him.

“I don’t mean to butt in, but I’m smelling something,” he began sniffing while Alejandro looked irritated. “I’m smelling couples fighting. Are you fighting with your property?” he asked.

“Do you really need me to call security and have them walk you out?” Alejandro warned.

“Can’t you loosen up a bit? Your wife is mad at you. Shouldn’t you try doing something to fix it? I suggest you get flowers or chocolates, or maybe a romantic dinner. Just let her know how sorry you are,” Fernando crossed his legs together, swaying the swivel chair back and forth.

Alejandro picked up his telephone and made some calls. In a few minutes, some security men walked in, and Fernando looked left and right, feeling lost.

“Are they for me?” he asked, but Alejandro did not answer. Instead, he watched as the security tried to pull Fernando up to lead him out.

“Don’t touch me, I’ll move on my own!” Fernando glared at the men trying to pick him up, and they left him alone. He uncrossed his legs and majestically stood up, adjusting his suit jacket. “So ungrateful,” he scoffed, walking out of the office. “I gave him valid information I haven’t given my brother, and he actually called his security guards on me,” he added and scoffed again before walking away.

Alejandro waited until Fernando’s voice could no longer be heard before he pulled his laptop close to him and began searching the web.

    BRIARWOOD SCHOOL ★

Isabella sat alone at her lunch table. On a typical day, she’s always with her friends, but now her friends were with Valeria, laughing about something she bet wasn’t funny.

Someone dropped a tray of food opposite her, and she looked up to see Brett. She just sighed and faced her food.

“I’m surprised you’re not chasing me away this time,” he said.

“What choice do I have? All my friends have left me anyways,” she scoffed.

“Well, I’m still here,” he shrugged.

“We were never friends,” Isabella rolled her eyes.

“And that doesn’t mean we can’t be,” Brett shrugged his shoulders.

“It’s not going to work out. Just take your lunch to another table because whatever is happening now is a phase. I will bounce back, and I won’t remember who you are,” Isabella replied.

    “I think that’s a lie,” Brett smiled.

“The audacity to think you can smile in my presence,” Isabella scoffed and played with her pasta as she rolled it on her fork.

“Let me tell you something,” Brett scooted closer to her and whispered, “I don’t like Valeria either.”

“Why?” Isabella asked, putting a forkful of pasta in her mouth. Pasta sauce stained her lips, and Brett noticed. He brought his hand to wipe the sauce from her lips, and Isabella froze at the contact.

“I know there’s dirt behind that blond and flawless skin,” he replied, removing his finger from her lips and tasting it. “Barbecue sauce,” he said.

Isabella stared at him for a while before bursting into laughter, and he smiled too.

“I told you, Isa, we can be best of friends,” he said.

    👥Cyber boys are here!!

👥Elijah, what are you planning to get for lunch?

👥Do you guys mind me buying you lunch?

    👥Alan got a new tattoo!

Students began murmuring as the boys found their way to lunch. Elijah stared over at Isabella and Brett’s direction and frowned. He faced forward and went to pick his lunch.

They sat at their special table to eat. Isabella wanted to go talk to Elijah; he didn’t reply to her message when she told him she couldn’t make it out, but before she could rise from her chair, Valeria already joined them.

She angrily stood up and left the cafeteria.

    EVENING: RUIZ MANSION★

    👥Welcome back home, Mrs. Ruiz!

The maids greeted Camila when she came back to the house. Alejandro couldn’t come with her because he was working extra late today.

    “Thank you,” Camila responded.

“What would you like for dinner ma’am?” The head maid asked.

    “Anything available” Camila replied.

“Mr Ruiz said we should specifically make what you want” The head maid insisted.

“He really asked you to do that?” Camila looked a little surprised. Since when do he care?

    “Yes” the head maid nodded.

“Unfortunately I’m not craving any particular thing this evening so I’d have anything you were planning to prepare anyways” Camila flashed a polite smile to the maid before climbing the stairs to her room.

A huge teddy bear, some red roses, chocolate and a romantic card that says; -from Alejandro- was written on the body, welcomed her on top of her bed.
