Raymond inhaled hard before concentrating back on his laptop
Raymond’s office door opened and Emery spranged up, thinking it’s her boss but he turned out to be Blake

She remembered she has things to do

Evening
Emery and Glenn walked out of the company together after an hectic day

Next Morning
He woke up feeling better, the migraine is gone thanks to the sleep that took it away

He went straight to Blake’s office
The idiot is smoking early that morning

“Good morning sir” Emery greeted but he ignored and went into his office
“Why is he cold this morning?” She wondered, heading to the coffee machine
She brewed his coffee and took it to his office
He’s pacing round his office
She dropped the coffee on his table
“I’m not in the mood for coffee!, Don’t you have eyes!” He yelled

“And I think I told you to send me a memo about the presentation” he said
” I did* she replied
“Oh, I was in pains last night so I won’t even notice if she did” he thought
” This company will be greatly affected if the presentation fails, this has never happened before, I haven’t written anything about it .. oh geez!” He ranted
She went out of his office slowly and got the one she wrote yesterday
She went back into his office
“Boss…I don’t know if you’ll be able to manage this, ..I kind of.. composed it last night” she said
He smirked
” How do you expect me to present what you wrote?, You think you’re smart huh?” He said rudely
She kept mute
” I’m sorry sir” she said slowly
He inhaled hard before changing his mind

She handed it over and he glanced at it

The time is some minutes before nine
“You can go” he said
She left the office

He waited for the board members reaction
They stared at each other and suddenly started clapping
Emery smiled
“He did it” she muttered
“Good presentation Mr Raymond” the chief board member said
” This company might be skyrocketing to the top three next week” another one said
Raymond smiled widely as they shook his hand
The presentation ended successfully
Back in the office
Emery got a message on her laptop from him

She quickly went inside his office
He’s sitting in front of his laptop
She stood in front of him
“Thanks” he said, not looking at her
“Huh?”
“I won’t say it twice, you heard me and you know why I said that..the presentation wouldn’t have ended successfully if not for you” he said, finally looking up
” It’s nothing sir” she replied with a smile

Almost immediately, Liz entered the office and the look on her face when she saw Emery beside him can kill

She raised her hand to give her a slap and Emery closed her eyes, expecting the daze but felt nothing
She opened her eyes and saw Raymond holding Liz’s hand
“Raymond” Liz said unbelievably, he has never stopped her from doing that before
