    “What do I have to wear to the ceremony tonight?” Emma ask.

    ” I will leave you to decide since you are a fashion designer but whatever you are going to wear make it red. You glow whenever you put on that colour” Cathy said, Sending a message to someone.

    “So, how many hotshot are going to be there?” Emma ask.

    “Just the usual. Some actress and actors, idol singers, producers, director and oh, the prince will be there too”

    “The prince?”

    “Prince Cyrus. The only son of the royal family, don’t tell me you don’t know him”

    “I have only heard about him but I don’t know what he is in person” Emma admit.

    “Same here. I have heard that he is a handsome devil, it’s a shame that I will be missing out on seeing the prince but I can’t cancel my trip with Cesar for it” Cathy said, feeling excited.

    An hour later, Cathy left and after seeing her off, Emma return back home.

    “Ashton Maverick, I doubt you know him but don’t worry, I will introduce you two during the party” Bobby reply.

    “I don’t care about the party, Just don’t leave my side” Stephanie said to him, wondering why she feels a little frighten.

    Bobby didn’t stick to his word cause as soon as they walk in, he was drag off by some of his friends while Bianca went to mingle with the single.

    Bianca has always been a social butterfly, something she herself lack. Stephanie thought as she found a quiet place to stay.

    She notice Bianca and Bobby dancing along with others and just as her gaze slid past the dancers, she notice a man standing by the stairs watching her.

    His had his head bent, accessing her and even though the room look a bit dark, Stephanie could see the light green of his eyes and the cruel smile splaying on his lips which gives him a devilish look.

    Feeling nervous under his scrutiny, Stephanie look away from him and when she dared herself to look once again, it was to see him coming towards her.

    Immediately, Stephanie left her spot, getting lost in the crowd and she was glad to find him nowhere behind her.

    It took a while for her to find Bobby and when she did, she told him that she wants to leave but he stop her.

    “Don’t go yet. Stay for a little while” he urge.

    “I can’t….”

    “Stop being a prude for once and just let go! Am sorry I lost my temper, why don’t you drink this” he said, offering her alcohol.

    “I don’t….”

    “Just a sip, do it for me babe” he cut her off, pouting his face.

    Stephanie had no choice but to drink the alcohol and at that moment, Bobby smiled at Bianca who smile at him in return.

    “Satisfied” She said, wiping her mouth.

    “Very much” Bobby reply, walking her to a chair.

    “Why don’t you stay here, I will go get Bianca and then we will leave” He added and went off.

    As Stephanie waited, she could feel her head swirling, her eyes losing focus and most importantly, she wanted to sleep.

    She did her best to stay awake but ended up dozing off and when she woke up.

    It was to find herself in an unknown room, the sun illuminating in through the window, telling her that it’s morning.

    But what happen? The last thing she remembered was drinking the alcohol Bobby gave her.

    The sound of a running water coming from the bath room alerted Stephanie of the presence of someone and immediately, she lay back on the bed pretending to be asleep, noticing she had nothing on except for the sheet covering her.

    “It was quite a surprise” she heard the male voice as he walk out of the bathroom.

    “She turn out to be what I needed” he said again and Stephanie could feel his gaze on her.

    “Fine then. Since I like the birthday gift, you can come round the office to get the car”

    He ended the call sometime later and when Stephanie heard nothing, she open her eyes to take a peek.

    He was getting dressed and most importantly, he turn out to be the man from last night.

    She went back to pretending and it wasn’t until she heard the door close that the pretence end.

    What happen last night? How did she end up in this room? Stephanie thought as she notice a note on the bedside table.

    “It was me. I was the one who got you into this prestigious school and so you owe me and should be grateful to me for being here or do you want me to tell my father to take back the scholarship?” Natalie ask.

    “No! Just like you do at home, you have me at your beck and call in school too” Judy said.

    “Good then. While we are at it, I told the cleaning lady that you will be helping her with her task, so why don’t you hurry up and go render her help, I will know if you help or not, don’t make me angry” Natalie said and left them standing there.

    “She’s such a bitch…I feel like scratching her eyes out” Darren burst out in anger.

    “But I can help you and Wayne. My name is Greg and I have a proposition for you” the other man with Marshall introduce himself.

    “What propsition?” June ask doubtfully.

    “There’s something I want you to do and let me tell you that it’s going to bring in a lot of money, you could even pay Wayne’s debt and still keep some for yourself” Greg told her. ” All you have to do sweetie is to pretend to be the wife of my boss”

    “Don’t be alarm. You see, my boss recently went through an accident, an accident which took away some important part of his memory. Like the recent trip he went for, he doesn’t remember a thing he did there and that’s where you come in”

    “I will prepare all the documents which makes you his wife, all you have to do is to claim he got married to you during his trip to Singapore” Greg added.

    “First of all, this taxi is free to everyone and secondly? Who are you calling a lady? You?” He added starring her dress code.

    It was then Andrea knew she messed up, why did she have to call herself a lady?

    “What’s going on?” The taxi driver asked from the front seat.

    “You can drive on, he will get himself another taxi” the guy said wanting to shut the door but Andrea force herself into the car.

    “Whether you like it or not. Am taking this cab” Andrea said, glaring at him too.

    “Crazy guy” he muttered turning to his phone.

    Andrea sat still thinking of ways to get back at the jerk who stole her cab and still has the effrontery to be rude to her.

    Clearing her throat loudly, she pulled out her phone and faked a call to someone.

    “I just got here. Am on my way to the address you gave to me and…oh no, I forgot to bring my meds” Andrea said, faking a worried look also.

    “You know that without it my lunacy start acting up” she added earning a wary look from the rude guy and the driver.

    “The symptoms of my lunacy? Well, it begins with scratching of the body without it being itchy and then I proceed to eating anything which isn’t food such as a foam in a car seat or anything and lastly which is the worst of them all, I get horny and sleep with anyone, regardless of the gender”

    “Currently, am with two guys and I…don’t worry, I will try to hold myself till I find a way to get my drugs. I will be with you soon” Andrea set down her phone, taking a peek at the guy beside her only to see him starring at her.

    “Don’t worry, I won’t touch you” she said softly, scratching her neck.

    “But you don’t mind me moving close to you, right?” Andrea added ,moving towards him on the seat.

    “Stop the car! Stop the car!” The guy yelled, hitting the driver’s seat and as soon as the car halt, he got out of it, running off to gawd knows where.

    Andrea couldn’t stop herself from laughing. The fool totally fell for it.

    “Er…would you like to get down too…I just remember that I have another passenger to…”

    “Don’t worry sir. Am not a lunatic, I just did that to scare off that jerk” Andrea said reassuring the driver.

    “You can drop me off at the nearest restaurant, am starving” Andrea added and a while later, she was led to a seat by the waiter.

    Remembering the act she pulled earlier, she began laughing again.

    She left her table and went to the female rest room, pulling off her wig due to the heat.

    Andrea was tying her hair into a knot when someone came in.

    She turn to see a guy standing by the door way starring at her.

    “Why the hell are you in the girls restroom?” She asked.

    “I should be asking you the same” he said starring at her outfit.

    “I might look like this but am a girl, don’t you see the pony tail?” She said pointing to her hair.

    “Oh” was the only reply she got from him.

    “What are you waiting for? Get out before someone sees you” she said and at that moment they heard some girls giggling and talking.

    “Oh no” Andrea muttered, trying to figure a way out for the guy who at the moment isn’t even worried about being caught.

    Taking hold of his hand, she pulled him into one of the cubicle, also getting in with him.

    “What are you doing?” He asked, glaring at her.

    “Saving your @ss” she replied.

    “I…”

    “Shhh… You can thank me later” she said using her hand to cover his mouth but he push it away.

    It took a while for them to leave and when they left, she got out of the enclose space while the guy slowly followed.

    “Thank God they are gone. If you hurry into the male rest room no one will notice you” she said.

    “Why should I?”

    “What do you mean by why should you? Do you want to get caught?”

    “I don’t care if I get caught and I didn’t ask for your help, you nosy pony headed girl” he said, lightly pushing her on the head before leaving the rest room.

    “That’s what I get for helping him? Why are New York guys so rude!” She muttered, tightening her fist.

    “You won’t get away with this” Andrea muttered and went after him.

    The moment she got outside, she began to scream.

    “Help me! Someone help me, that guy is peeping at me” she said and immediately the girls from earlier showed up, they were five in number and they immediately block his path. holding onto the rude guy.

    “What the hell are you doing? I wasn’t peeping at you!” he said trying to get out of their hold.

    “He was peeping and when he saw that I notice him, he tried to run off. Don’t let him get away with what he did, do something” Andrea said, faking her tears.

    “You definitely will rot in jail”

    “Can’t believe there are still scums like you out there”

    The ladies holding onto him said as they began hitting and pulling his hair.

    The last thing Andrea saw of him was him screaming at them to let him go.

    She went back to her seat, taking her suitcase, she quickly left the restaurant heading to the winter residence.

    Marie stood in front of a mirror, starring at herself in her wedding dress.

    Somehow it feels unreal, she didn’t know why but it felt unreal to her, like her marriage to Romeo Brooks shouldn’t take place today.

    Ever since her accident a month ago, her wedding to her fiance had been pushed forward.

    She didn’t know why but they insisted on it. It must probably be because she is suffering from Amnesia.

    Due to the car accident she was involved in, she had come out of it safe but had ended up losing her memory.

    She doesn’t remember a thing from the past and if it weren’t for her parents who told her a little about herself, she will still be totally lost about it.

    Just then the door opened and her mother, Hannah Taylor walked into the room.

    “You look like a rich man’s bride” Hannah said moving towards Marie.

    “I am a rich man’s bride, after all am getting married to Romeo” Marie replied starring at her mom.

    Somehow she wanted her cold mother affection. Today is her wedding and shouldn’t all mother be sad to see their child leave but instead she felt the opposite from her mom.

    Hannah walked towards her and held her shoulders tightly.

    “Make sure you get married to Romeo. You must marry him at all cost” she told her and Marie nodded.

    “I will leave you to continue your thing, afterall today is your wedding” Hannah said and with a cold smile sent her way, she left Marie alone in the room.

    Now more than ever Marie knew that something is wrong. Why would her mom insist on her getting married to Romeo?

    She once asked them if her relationship to Romeo is one of love and they had assured her of it though Romeo himself let her doubt that fact.

    When she had woken up in the hospital room and her amnesia had been confirmed. Her fiance was no where to be found.

    For a week she only heard about him from her parents and when he did show up, giving an excuse at being at a important meeting, she felt his coldness towards her.

    A coldness that continued even when she got out of the hospital and today she will be marrying a man whose attitude towards her is as freezing as an iceberg.

    She has to ask her mom what she meant earlier, having that thought in mind, Marie ran out of the room, searching for her mom.

    She got to the stairs and saw her mom going into her father’s study, immediately she got down stairs, careful with her wedding dress.

    She was about knocking when she heard her father disscussion with her mom.

    “What are you doing?” Hannah asked her husband.

    “Trying to see if I can get a hold of Develene” Jerry Taylor replied.

    “You know Develene wouldn’t pick up. Have been doing the same for the past three months and still nothing” Hannah said to her husband.

    “So? Do you want us to let Marie get married to Romeo?” Jerry asked.

    “Why not? After all she came here in place of Develene our real child” Hannah said and on hearing that Marie froze at the door way.

    “That’s why I feel guilty at marrying her off to Romeo” Jerry said.

    “Its better Romeo marries Marie than for him to marry Develene. Am glad that she sent Marie here to pretend to be her, I never wanted my daughter to marry Romeo and am glad that she’s not the one doing that today” Hannah said callously.

    Marie couldn’t take more of it and so she opened the door and barged into the room, shocking the two people she had considered to be her parents.

    “Develene” Jerry called but Marie had heard it all and she knew that she is not the real Develene.

    “What are you doing here? You should be finishing the last touch for your wedding” Hannah said nervously.

    “My wedding? Shouldn’t Develene your real daughter be here getting married to Romeo?” Marie asked.

    “You heard it?” Hannah asked and Marie nodded.

    “Tell me what is going on? Who am I and why did you lie to me? Why did you make me believe that am your daughter when am not!” Marie yelled at them demanding for an answer.

    “You are our daughter Dev……”

    “Don’t call me that! I heard what you said and I know that am not your daughter. The accident….the accident robbed me of my memory and so you decide to use me. You decide to make me Romeo’s wife while your daughter is free of that burden!” Marie said and they both looked away in guilt.

    “I demand to know. Tell me what’s going on?” Marie added wanting an answer from them.

    “I will tell you what you want to know” someone said behind them and Marie turned to see Romeo, the man she’s meant to marry in a few minutes time.

    “Romeo you shouldn’t……”

    “If am to marry her then it’s only right that she knows the truth” The man she had always thought as a handsome devil said as he walked towards her.

    “The truth is that you are not the real Develene Taylor, you are a fake she asked to pretend to be her. Your real name is Marie Raymond” Romeo told her bluntly and for a while Marie tried to assimilate his words.

    So everything she had believed in is all a lie. She is not Develene but a replica of her, Marie thought as she went to sit on the sofa before she embarrass herself by fainting in front of everyone.

    “Are you still interested in knowing more?”Romeo asked and she nodded.

    “I would like to know everything, every little detail” She replied starring at him.

    “I will tell you afterall you confessed everything on the day you had the accident” Romeo told her.

    “You mean I told the whole truth?” Marie asked.

    “The lie you and Develene began was starting to be come real and you felt guilty and wanted it to end and so you confessed the whole thing and due to that confession, I can help refresh your memory” Romeo replied.

    “But before I do that, I would like it if you two can leave the room ” Romeo said to Hannah and Jerry.

    “Can’t they just stay?” Marie asked. Now that she knows that he is not really her fiance, she doesn’t want to be alone with him.

    “They can’t. This is just between you and me ” he replied and immediately Develene parents left the room while he took a chair to have a seat.
