    “I banished Olivia from this kingdom for poisoning the Princess. Why is she back and is with Zaki?” The King asked

    “Zaki didn’t know I was going to the school today. Someone must have told him. Also,he received a phone call that the king had sent guards after him which means that someone in this palace is feeding him information about us” Helen said

    “You’re right. Everything was planned here on the throne room with no other ears than that of the King, Princess, Queen and…” Derrick trailed off and turned his gaze to the guard behind the king’s throne.

    “Levi” Helen called

    Just then Stanley’s phone rang. It was Sam calling

    Queen Zara came and took her in while Tasha followed suit. Kira had gone to the market with Rita at the time.

    “I know Sam will do something cause right now I’m confused on what to do and I need to go to Zulu and stay for a while. My father hasn’t been feeling well” Derrick said

    It was an uncompleted building but had doors and windows. Zaki tied Olivia to a chair he found there and tortured her. He removed what he used to cover her mouth and smirked

    “You will pay for this. God won’t forgive you Zaki” Olivia snapped at him

    He chuckled

    “You should get ready to say your last prayers Olivia. You deceived me and ruined my plans”

    “Yes and I’m proud of it”

    He slapped her

    “Shut up!!”

    “You can beat me as many times as you want Zaki but I will never shut up. I will make sure I kill you before I die and that is a promise”

    “You…kill me? How is that possible?…He dragged her hair…Look fool,the only reason you’re still alive is because I want you to be here and witness how I will kill the Princess. I want you to know that all these you did were in vain” He said

    Olivia felt irritated and spat on his face

    Zaki tied her mouth back again and took out his phone to make a phone call

    Princess Helen,Princess Tasha and soon to be Princess Kira were on their way back from Zulu. They had gone to visit the sick King and Thank God he was getting better.

    They were not too far from Zulu when their car broke down. They all got down while some guards tried fixing it. Suddenly some men with guns came out of the bush and attacked them. Helen was about to draw her sword when one of the men dragged Tasha and pointed a gun at her forehead

    “One move from you and I will scatter her brains” One of the men threatened

    “Drop your sword” Another one said

    “I will drop it please don’t hurt her” Helen dropped her sword

    “Tell your guards to drop theirs”

    “Guards,drop your swords” She ordered them

    “What do you people want?” Kira asked

    “We want the Princess and if she refuses to come with us,you all will suffer the consequences” The Man cracked the gun

    “No please don’t hurt them. I will come with you guys. Just leave them alone” Helen begged

    She can’t risk their lives for anything

    Two men grabbed her and released Tasha

    “If any of you make any move,the Princess will die here”

    “Please name your price and I will pay. Let her go please” Tasha pleaded

    “We don’t want your money” They said and started taking her away

    “What are we going to do?” Kira asked already in tears

    Tasha hailed down a cab

    “Kira get in. Take us to Gatrish palace right now and be zippy with it” Tasha said and the driver sped up to Gatrish

    The cab stopped at the gate. Tasha paid and rushed in with Kira. She had called the police before getting there. She entered the palace panting heavily

    “What happened?” The King asked

    “The Princess has been kidnapped” Tasha said and burst into tears

    Zaki just finished settling the men and came in with two beside him

    Helen turned back and hatred hit her. She hate this man more than she hates betrayal now.

    “Tell me why I shouldn’t kill you now with my bare hands you ungrateful maniac” She snapped

    “Temper Helen Temper. You see,I love you alot”

    “To hell with that love. I hate you. I regret ever trusting you. You are an evil man and you deserve to perish”

    Zaki laughed

    “It’s nice to hate people. It is a normal thing. I just want you to surrender the throne to me”

    “Never” She said immediately

    “Tie her and if she refuse,kill the lady” He pointed at Olivia

    The men walked towards her and tied her to another chair.

    “You will pay for this Zaki”

    “Surrender your throne Helen” He brought out a knife

    “Over my dead body will I do that”

    Zaki laughed

    “I love your courage alot niece. You make me remember Diego. He was such a courageous guy but too bad he had to die a foolish death”

    “Mind the way you talk about his death Zaki. He risked his life for mine” Helen said

    “Oh is that what you think? The plan was for two of you to die but unfortunately,he foolishly saved you”

    “What are you blabbing about?” Helen asked in irritation

    “Apparently,you won’t be getting out of here alive so I want to let you in on my little secret” He chuckled

    She shot Iris a ‘don’t move’ glare and walked to her desk.

    📞 I sent a lady over? Has she settled down? Bradley asked sarcastically and Jocelyn shuddered.

    “Boss..” she muttered and Iris’s eyes widened.

    📞 I know how sassy you can be Jocelyn.. you don’t wanna be in my bad book. His voice came cold and beads of sweat formed on Jocelyn’s temple. The last thing she wanna lose now is her job.

    “Yes sir.. ” her voice came faint and Iris took in a deep breath.

    📞Help the lady settle in.. he said and the call disconnected. Jocelyn placed her hand on her chest and closed her eyes taking a deep breath. How does he manage to make all workers scared? Or maybe because they’ve never seen him smile?

    But still she found herself attracted to him.. she opened her eyes and shot a glare at Iris which she quickly conceal with a smile.

    “Make yourself comfortable” she muttered as she sat on the swivel chair fixing her eyes on her screen.

    Iris shrugged and walked past her.. she was sure that there was a camera installed in the office, if not how would the boss get to know?

    She never cared to know about the lady.. she was rude and that’s one thing she’d pin her with.

    She settled on her desk, turned on her laptop and started the day’s work.

    Bradley heaved as he rested his back on the chair staring at his phone.. it was another threat note.

    He switched off his phone and left it on the desk. He closed his eyes searching for a clue about who would want to take his life but as usual.. it was blank, he had no idea. As much as he had few friends, he was sure he’d had no enemy.. or maybe that’s what he’d thought until recently.

    He clenched his fists… he opened his eyes and sat upright and his thoughts slowly drifted to her..

    Why does he feel like he’d known her from somewhere? He turned on his laptop and made his way to a particular folder. He clicked on it and the footage of their office came on.

    She was timid.. so fragile to let Jocelyn intimidate her, he knew better now.

    He rested his fingers under his chin as he watched keenly.. his eyes focused on Iris. She was less busy considering the fact that it was all a favor, she was supposed to work harder.

    He picked up the telephone and dialled her desk number, he watched as she carefully picked the telephone before placing it on her ear. He rolled his eyes..

    “Sort out the files of Maggie’s glow, get new designs and fixed an appointment with Maggie..” he said and she nodded before clearing her throat lightly.

    “Yes sir.. ”

    “I believe you know what to do.. don’t mess this up” he said grumpily.

    “Yes sir.. I.. I would try my best” she muttered

    “Don’t try.. do” he said and she nodded again before speaking.

    “When is my appointment with Cullen’s fashion gram? ” he asked and she peered closely at her system. He could see Jocelyn shooting her a glare.

    “By 2 sir” she replied and he disconnected the call. She frowned staring at the telephone before putting it down. She turned to the computer getting to work immediately.

    He smirked.. he stood up and reached for his suit hanging on his chair, he brushed his hair backwards with his fingers before checking his wristwatch. It was almost 2.

    He headed out of the office heading to the meeting room.

    “My mummy prepared muffins, and I have a milkshake.. I won’t mind sharing with you” Anna said holding up her lunch bag dangling it in front of her friend.

    “I would be fine” Trish muttered clutching her stomach as pangs of hunger hit her hard.

    “Do you wanna die? C’mon eat” Anna urged as she placed her lunch bag in front of Trish and started emptying the contents.

    Trish’s mouth watered as she stared at the appetizing lunch in front of her, Anna gave a wide gummy grin and extended one of the muffins to her.

    “Don’t say no” she whined and Trish looked around before grabbing the muffin from Anna. Anna smiled as she watched her devour it hungrily.

    She placed her hand on her chin watching her friend with interest.

    “Stop starving yourself.. see, you’re getting lean. Don’t you eat at home?” she asked and Trish paused, her mouth filled as her eyes met with Anna’s.

    She slowly pushed the half eaten muffin down her throat.

    “What? Don’t stop eating, have more” Anna urged pushing the entire plate to Trish, she grabbed the milkshake and shrugged.

    “I will just have this, I ain’t hungry anyway” she muttered while Trish stared at her quietly.

    “What? our teacher would be coming soon.. hurry and eat” Anna said glancing at the door.

    Trish dived her little fingers into the plate grabbing a muffin which she shoved into her mouth hungrily.

    Trish Diego, a 3 year old.. was less a talker though she was good friends with Anna who did all the talking. She never talked about her family but from the looks of things, one would know the girl wasn’t okay.. Anna could sense it but decided to remain mute about it.

    She took a sip of her milkshake, her eyes fixed on Trish.. she blinked, maybe she’d tell Auntie Megan to pack a double lunch for her, so she could share with Trish…

    “Don’t tell me you’re not over your daughter?” A woman in her early thirties asked with an eye roll and her husband just sighed.

    “She’s my heir.. I need to look for her” The man said and the woman scoffed.

    “But I have my boys.. ” she shrugged and the man shot her a glare.

    “They’re not my children..” he stated bluntly and the woman rolled her eyes mumbling something incoherent to herself.

    “Maybe, if you had not pushed her away.. my daughter would had still been here” The man said getting on his feet, the woman looked away angrily.

    “I’m gonna find my daughter at all costs” he muttered before walking away, the woman’s eyes followed him till he was outta sight.

    She smirked..

    “Let’s see if you’d be alive to do that.. ” she muttered.

    It was past close time already, most of the workers had retired home leaving only a handful which disappeared one after the other until there was one left… Iris.

    Iris yawned for the umpteenth time that day as she searched the systems cluelessly for new designs. She’d successfully sorted Maggie’s glow files and setting an appointment but she couldn’t get the new designs. And Jocelyn wasn’t ready to help either.

    In fact, she’d closed for the day since 5.. she wanted to put a call to the boss and probably tell him she couldn’t find any design. But then.. this job was just a favor.

    She was happy she got Megan to tend for Anna.. though she felt sorry, she wasn’t able to spend quality time with her daughter. It was all about work. But she needed to make a living, she’d been living with Megan for close to 4 years.

    Her phone rang jolting her.. she reached for it and placed in at her ears without checking the caller.

    “Where the hell are you Iris!?”

    She pulled the phone from her ear and stared at the caller before sighing softly.

    “I’m still at work Meggie.. I have some things to sort out, I would be home soon” she said tiredly and Megan scoffed.

    “Who the hell gives a load of work to an employee on their first day? ” she asked and Iris yawned.

    “It’s not a big deal.. I would soon be done okay?”

    Nanare arrived . She opened the glassy door and entered the restaurant.

    She met Vidah sitting alone.

    Vidah raised her head and saw her.She stood up immediately.
    ” Nanare ” Vidah called.

    Nanare kept a long face.
    She sat down on the chair. Vidah sat down too.

    ” Nanare ” Vidah called out again.

    ” I am busy at work, tell me whatever you want to tell me” Nanare said.

    Vidah sighed heavily.

    ” First, I am really sorry for everything … forgive me ” Vidah said.

    Tears rolled out of Vidah’s eyes. Nanare felt pity for her mother. She couldn’t help but to cry with her.

    ” Please forgive me. For everything I did. ” said Vidah.

    ” It all started when I was 15 years old……

    ” Skip that part… Grandma already told us ” Nanare snapped back.

    Vidah broke down in more tears when nanare mentioned grandma.

    ” When i and your father had that accident, someone helped. It was lilian. I lost everything I had. I lost all my money, my wallet, everything important to me. The only thing I could remember was my name. I had amnesia ” Vidah explained.

    ” Yes i did. I struggled for 2 years,i worked hard and i got back on my feet. Then I was wealthy again. But i was still living with the memory loss. Little did I know that a doctor i called a friend kept making matters worse. he kept giving me some drugs that won’t allow me to remember my memories. Then I built that music industry. Melon Star Music Entertainment. I helped so many people to achieve their dreams through some training programs. Then i saw Remita ” Vidah stopped talking.

    Vidah looked at Nanare. Nanare was so engrossed that she didnt even know when she was crying while hearing vidah’s story.

    ” Then i saw Remita ” Vidah continued.

    ” I saw Remita in one of the viral video she made. I watched her video and i saw that she has talents. She could dance, sing and rap at the same time. Then I knew that she would be the best option. So i sent my staffs to her all from the way of paris to the Philippines . At first she declined. But I told my staffs to keep trying. Finally she agreed . Then she came to paris. The second day she came to paris I saw her directly. Face to Face!. I was shocked that this girl looks like me. I kind of try to remember the eyes. But no matter how i tried…nothing was coming up.” Vidah said.

    ” So one of my workers called me to check up on somethings. On my way there, I had an accident. A terrible accident which made me unconscious for seven years ” Vidah stopped and looked into nanare’s eyes .

    ” You were in coma for seven years… unbelievable!! ” Nanare said.

    ” Yes….I was in coma for seven bad years. but before i fell into coma, I remembered everything. i remembered all that I have losed. My family, My mother, my children everything I have had before. i remembered everything but too bad i couldn’t talk . I went into coma. i was in between life and death, then it turned out again that it was the doctor who trapped me in coma by giving me some vaccines. Him and his friend, they wanted me dead. But they were caught by Remita red handed. Alvin and Donald were arrested. weeks later, I woke up . Then i heard everything. Then i came back here to look for you and your sisters and my mother but I never knew my mother was dead. I want your forgiveness, please Nanare. Forgive me ” Vidah said.

    Nanare stared at Vidah.

    ” I have forgiven you a long time ago. Since we met at the grammy award ceremony . I knew you would have a good explanation but there it is. I forgive you mom but i don’t know if the twins will forgive you.” Nanare said.

    Vidah was a bit happy but not completely happy.

    She stood up and moved closer to Nanare

    She hugged Nanare tightly.

    ” Thank you ” Vidah muttered.

    Nanare hugged Vidah in tears.

    Vidah smiled and take a good look at nanare.

    ” You are all grown up now. ” Vidah said.
    ” Yes mom… I have grown pretty ” Nanare said smiling .

    ” Yeah… so tell me who is your boyfriend now ” Vidah asked.

    ” He is Marlon ….in fact we are about to plan our wedding but I was waiting for you…thank goodness you are back now ” Nanare said.

    Vidah smiled and pecked nanare and touched her hair.

    ” Don’t worry as soon as all of this is solved I promise to follow you to your in law’s house. I will make sure your wedding with marlon will be the best out of the best ” Vidah said and remembered Remita and Naomi.

    ” Can you talk to them for me? ” Vidah asked.

    ” Naomi and Remita ? yes I promise but you will have to come to our house. ” nanare promised.

    “I will … just tell me the address ” Vidah replied.

    Red picked it up. He knew it was Nanare.

    ” Hello aunt” Red said through the phone.

    ” Hi, Alfred…Good evening ”
    ” Good evening ”

    ” I wanna to talk to you about Remita. when are you free?” Nanare asked.

    ” Yes i am… I think tomorrow afternoon. send me the address ” Red said with respect.

    ” Thank you so much Alfred ” nanare said.

    ” Anything for my girlfriend’s sister ” Red said.
