    I was only ten years old when something very terrible happened to me.This is what happened that morning that changed my life completely

    It was on Thursday morning around five when I woke up.I was supposed to go to school so I quickly took my bath then put on my uniform and went to have breakfast that my mother was done preparing

    I really loved my mother for despite being a single mother she always struggled to raise me.I was her only child and I reminded her of my father

    “You do resemble your father baby girl,I wish you would have once met her” she once told me

    I didn’t understand why she had to shed tears while saying such words,of course I was just a little girl who was very innocent of what she was going through but that didn’t mean I didn’t wish for a father

    In fact I was used to stories told in school by my Friends about their dads and it made me wish the heavens would one day grant me a wish of having a loving dad, anyway to cut the long story short

    After haven taken my breakfast,I took my bag and bade my mother goodbye.

    “Bye Mila,have a nice day” My mother shouted as I ran waving

    By then it was already six in the morning and many of the students were on the road heading to school

    I was alone so I hurriedly walked to catch up with my friends who were far ahead when suddenly a vehicle drove past me and suddenly stopped.

    Two men who were wearing masks alighted from the black van with tinted windows and rushed towards where I was and grabbed me.

    I tried to scream but one of them covered my mouth with his strong hands and carried me into the vehicle before the other one closed the door and the van sped away.

    I didn’t know where the men were taking me and what they wanted with me so I was very scared.I had seen movies where children were kidnapped and used for ransom that I was very scared and tried pleading for mercy but it was all in vain.

    One of the men took out his gun and pointed it at me

    “You better shut your mouth or else I will send you to your maker” The man shouted and immediately I went quiet

    We had now driven for almost thirty minutes when the car finally came to a stop and I was pulled out.I didn’t know where we were but it was in the middle of nowhere.There was a large forest nearby.One of the men carried me in while the other and the driver followed behind.

    Linda was still crying for some hours now, James her husband was running up and down trying to get the answers to what actually had happened

    He had gone out of the maternity ward to the hospital canteen to at least get something for her wife who had given birth to a bouncy baby boy

    James can’t believe that in less than ten minutes that he had gone out that his child was carried away by an unknown individual

    “No, I am calling the police right now!! How do you expect me to calm doctor how?” he shouts at the doctor who is seated in his office making calls

    “I understand you are frustrated sir but I promise you that your baby boy will be found” he pleaded with the angry man

    “Okay but how? It is over two hours now and no report of my child whereabouts” James shouted, sweats trickling down his spine.

    He had lost his patience and was ready to take the law in his hands

    By this time the police had received the report of what had occurred in the hospital and were already at the hospital,they were interrogating the wife while James and the doctor were in the office

    “So madam what actually happened here?” one of the police officers questioned Linda.She was a lady and could feel the pain that Linda was going through as a mother

    “When my husband stepped out of the ward,a nurse walked into the room,she was wearing a mask that is why I couldn’t spot her face well.She walked right towards where I was and injected me forcefully,from there I don’t know what happened.When I came to myself my child was nowhere to be found” Linda responded while wiping out the tears that rolled down her cheeks

    “Eyaa calm down,we shall find your baby boy” the police officer said as he hugged Linda restoring some hope in her

    She was still hugging Linda when James and the doctor walked into the ward.The police interrogated them then ordered the doctor to summon all the nurses who were on duty that night

    The nurses were summoned and from the first to the last every nurse was present for work

    “Excuse me doctor are you sure,these are all the nurses?” the police asked,her face was very serious as she was a woman and knew the pain of the mother added with her work duties

    “And how does a baby just vanish? We will take you into custody so you can tell us what is happening in this hospital?” she said and ordered the doctor to walk with them into the Police land cruiser

    The doctor didn’t oblige,he followed the police orders even though she was younger than him.The doctor is roughly in forties while the police is in twenties

    The thief had managed to jump over the fence,a grey Toyota fielder has been waiting for her.

    She got into the car then changed into her clothes and threw the nurses clothes outside through the window as the car sped through the dark road and disappeared.

    “So you were able to steal the baby? Wow” the driver told the woman who was breathing heavily while sweating profusely

    “Don’t even say it,I was almost caught,I have never been scared before like today.Drive as fast as possible before we are caught” she said shaking the child who was crying

    James went back in and tried to calm down his wife who was busy shedding tears.

    Nathaniel Bassey petitions the Inspector General of the Nigerian Police for investigation over the alleged accusation of being the father of Mercy Chinwo’s child on defamation of character.

    Earlier last week, Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo shared to the public for the first time, the face of her firstborn child. Many took to social media to congratulate the singer, while others came up with an agenda that Gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey could be the father of the child due to the striking resemblance to the child.

    The story went viral on social media with some influencers making videos, requesting for Mercy Chinwo’s husband to carry out t a DNA test on the child. Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, however, does not seem pleased with this allegation and has now petitioned the inspector general of the Nigerian policy to carry out an investigation and bring his accusers to justice.

    In a video shared by a Twitter user, Nathaniel Bassey’s lawyers were seen explaining why they have decided to petition inspector Kayode Egbetokun. The petition was against four social media users by names; Okoronkwo Ejike, Kingsley Ibeh, Terrence Ekot, and Dj Spoiltkid
