👬 My Best Friend Episode One:

Kemi was my best friend, we’ve been friends since our university days even till we got married, we had two children each, though I had a girl and a Boy while she had two boys

My son which was my second child was not as intelligent as I wanted, he was an average student unlike my daughter who was the best in her class. I tried all my best to make him better by paying teachers to teach him at home, paid money for online class yet he was still the same, next year he will be preparing for Junior Waec and nothing has changed about him….I was scared for his future

I told kemi and she told me she has a Baba she usually goes to….(yeah we are christians but hardly goes to church, still believe in our deity)…she told me she could tell the Baba to see what my son will become in the future so that I could do something about him
We decided on a day to go and we went there. Baba asked me for my son’s name and age.

“His name is Wale and he is 13 years old”

He said some things I could not understand and later faced me

“Hmm….the gods said that ur son will be great, he is going to be a leader in this country”

I was so happy, I was delighted, I guess I should not worry about his academic performance but encourage him
We dropped some money as a symbol of gratitude and as we were about to leave my best friend said I should wait outside she also want to inquire something, I willingly went out to wait….I was so happy, later she joined me and we got out of the bush and entered my car to go home

“Wow, I’m so happy for u Simi, so ur son is going to be a leader in this country that’s a really great feeling for u” Kemi told me as we were in the car

“Seriously I don’t even know how to feel, I’m so happy” I said

“Yeah I know when u get home ur happiness will change to another level” she said and I smiled

I dropped her at her house and went to mine, I came down from the car and entered my house what I saw shocked me….

👫💞 My Sweet Heart Episode Thirty Nine:

    🧡 VALERIE’S POV Continues 🧡

Mrs Elizaeth Graneson was on her massive bed in her luxurious bedroom, all smiles as she stared at her son and daughter inlaw’s picture with her cute grandson.
“James is just like me. My colour and my character..” She said to herself.

Im glad that stupid brother of his had to get lost. Yes, I gave birth to both of them. They are twins but I love James and I disdain Joy!. I just hate him. He took his father’s complexion and always act like he knows all.. His father loved him more than James. But James is my beloved son. James is the first child but his father loved Joy more than him! Well the foolish boy, Joy had been lost for ten years and my husband now cherish James and I gave him under my palms..
    She smiled widely..

Just then, a spark flashed in her eyes and she screamed.
She felt her head spin and a painful bang followed.
She yelled out and held her head.
When it all calmed down and she opened her eyes.
She began scratching her head… wildly like a fire was ablaze on her head.
Like it wasn’t enough, She took off her wig and scratched harder and pulled.
    Then began screaming..

“Oh no oh no.. I will confess!” She kept screaming and pullinf her hair till her maids rushed in with her daughter in-law, Stella.
“Mom… What’s the matter!” Stella asked, tryinf to hold her but Mrs Elizabeth pushed her away.
    “Yes..I will confess.”
“Confess what mother? You are scaring me. Im calling James.” Stella said and brought out her phone and dialled her husband’s line but his lines are switched off.
“I will confess” Mrs Elizabeth screamed more, scratching her whole skin.

Stella dialled James line again but it was switched off.
James line have never been swutched off even at mudnights! So why is it in a day like this.
    In a moment as this!
She tried his lines again, luckily his third line rang but no one picked.
That was when Stella knew something is wrong.
“I will confess oh.” Her mother-in-law kept screaming and pulling hair.
    Stella began cryinf.
The maids watched in awe at their mistress.

“What confess do you have to make mother; You are scaring the hell out of me and now James line suddenly isn’t goung. He’s not picking up. Why are you scratching your hair and your skin mother?” Stella asked with so much tears rolling down.
    “Yes exactly!” Mrs Elizabeth yelled.
“I loved James more. I hated Joy because his father loved him more because he claims he look just like him and more intelligent and hardworking than James. He alwayd bought bigger things for Joy and smaller things for James who is his first child! This made me hate Joy. I hated him even though he’s my son and a twin brother to James. This hatred went on till both grww up and Joy and you became Lovers..”
Stella remembered Joy and everything they shared and then she bursted into cries..

“James saw you and fell inlove with you and wanted you, so he came to me…”

    ….FLASH BACK….

    Ten Years Ago

    🧡 Mrs Elizabeth’s POV 🧡

I was on a well comfortable and expensive couch in the sitting-room going through an online shopping for a nice dress and bag for my friend, Mrs Adesua’s birthday celebration, When my beloved son, James walked in.

He appeared sad as he sat beside me on the same couch.
“Oh son… I hate to see your face like this.. What is it?” I asked.
“Mom why do Joy have all the best things?” He asked.
“No.. He doesn’t. You deserve the best things and you know I give you all that tou need.” I said.
“Mom I hate my brother. And I wish he was never born.” He said.
“Just like I hate him and wish that as well.” I said.

“Dad loves him more. My sisters love him more. Everyone in this house both the useless maids and servants. No one seem to like me.” He said sadly.
That always break my heart.. To see him sad cos of that foolish Joy!
“Son, I love you so much and my love for you son is much more greater than all of their joy brought together.” I said.
    He sighed.

“So what is it? You need money?” I asked.
“No mom. Im inlove with someone.” He said.
    I smiled..
“Oh.. That’s amazing.. so who is this girl and I hope she’s beautiful and from a well known family.” I asked.
“Yes. It’s Stella.. Stella Macdonald.” He said.
    “What? That’s your brother’s girlfriend!” I said.
“I don’t care mom, I want her…And I must have her!” He said, got up and walked upstairs.

    🧡 Back to >Writer’s POV (Rejoice) 🧡

A week later and James kept on with his decision… Mrs Elizabeth the decided to help her beloved son.
She met with her close friend, Adesua who gave her an idea of seeing a native doctor to help her get Stella.
Mrs Elizabeth with her friend Adesua journeyed to an evil native doctor called ‘Baba Aje’ at a village in the west part of the country.
There Mrs Elizabeth told Baba Aje to help her son get Stella from her other son, Joy.

She also seek that Baba Aje to help her get Joy to be hated by everyone including his father and let James be the one to be loved.
Baba Aje after few incantations, explained to her that Joy’s destiny is to be greater than his twin brother James.
Mrs Elizabeth spat and said to him, “Then get rid of him. I hate him to be greater than James!”
Baba Aje did another incantation and smiled, displaying his disgusting teeth.

“Im not fit to kill him. He’s life is in the hands of the great one.” He said.
“Then what can we do to him. I want him out!” She said.
“I can curse him to loose his senses and wander so faraway from his family and everyone who knows him.” Baba Aje said.
“Then do it! I can pay anythinf for you to.” She said, determined.
“He won’t remember anything about who he was and his family and his home forever. His thoughts and mindset shall be reduced to that of a little child and he shall act like a little child.” He said.
“Good! Do it Baba.” Mrs Elizabeth said.

“But there are consequences.” Baba Aje said with a smile.
    “Consequences?” Mrs Elizabeth asked.
“Yes! The great god of Aje gives but gives with consequences and warning.” He said.
    Mrs Elizabeth inhaled.
“He shall wander so faraway but it can be possible that he may find a family one day where he is. And once makes eye contact with him or her.. His memories would be restored back and you…” He pointed at Mrs Elizabeth.

“…and the one who is benefitting from his curse shall face a great disaster!” He said.
Mrs Elizabeth thought for awhile. Then looking straight into Baba Aje’s eyes, she said, “Im ready!”
Baba Aje vanished immediately.. Mrs Elizabeth flinched.
Her friend, Adesua was outside waiting, so she had no clue about what they were discussing.
Baba Aje reappeared minutes later with a tiny black long thread and an egg.

“This thread is very tiny and would need a close eyes to see there’s something in your hands. When you get home and notice he is abour coming in or out of his bedroom. Lay his thread on his door and once he match on it or crosses over it he shall loose his senses and wander away instantly. Make sure no one is around when this happens.” He said and handed her thread.
“Once he wander away. Make a night meal for your husband with this egg and he shall totally forget about him.” He said and handed her the egg.

“This egg must touch the sand.” He said.
“Thanks so much Baba Aje. I’ll do exactly as you said.” Mrs Elizabeth said and placed the thread and egg carefully in her bag, then got out a big bundle of money.
“Drop it inside the white calabash. Aje is greatful for your sacrifice.” He said.
Mrs Elizabeth dropped the money into the white calabash.
“Thanks Baba. I promise to bring you more if this works for me.” She said.
“It has.. Go well.” He said.
    Mrs Elizabeth walked out.

    Back To Recent….

Mrs Elizabeth after completing her confession, slumped down and died.
Stella was already on the floor, crying.
The maids rushed to their mistress, calling her and realising she’s dead, they all bursted into loud cries.

    🧡 MAUREEN’S POV 🧡

Dr. Valerie is still here with my brother.
She had been explaining herself and remembering all they shared when he still had his memory lost but brother still doesn’t remember anything.
Lady Angelina had left to the airport to welcome her son.
Dr. Eva just went out to attend to another doctor.

Brother had managed to sit up.
Dr. Valerie sat at the edge of his bed, explaining herself over and over again.
I just stood, leaning on the wall.
“…you still don’t remember anything? You still don’t remenber I…I showed you..” She glanced at me.
I wonder what she wanna say.
    I looked down.
“….showed you how to..to shave?” She said.
    What?
    I looked at them..
Brother widened his eyes in total shock.

“That can’t be true. Oh my God.. like hell.” He half yelled.
    “You don’t remember?” He breathed.
“We also kissed, fondled and we made love three nights ago.” She said.
“We what?? Made what?” He gasped.
“Love.” She said with a worried look.
“Oh no no no! Not True at all!” He said.
    Just then, my phone rang.
    Stella?
I glanced at Brother before picking it up.
“Hello.. Maureen….” She said, her voice gloomy.

    Is she crying?
“What is it?” I asked. I couldn’t mention her name cos of brother.
“Your brother got involved in an accident.. Your mother.. Your mother.. your mother is dead!” She said and bursted into a loud cry.
    “What?” I asked.
“DeAvil Hospital. James is dying.” She cried more and the call dropped.
    “Who?” Joy asked.
“Brother James got involved in an accident…Mom is dead!” I said as tears rolled down my eyes.
    He shut his eyes.

🧏 It’s Not My Fault Episode Six:

Dozie: What are they trying to do, Prisca? Whatever stunt you are trying to pull will never work with me.

Prisca: excuse me?? Do you think I am trying to pull a stunt? It’s fine, the only person I feel for is Bisola but it’s obvious she has found healing and she is ready to move on. A day will come when your members will ask about your family, I hope you will be able to tell them that you and your wife are no longer together.

Dozie: get out of my office Prisca and never come back again

Prisca: As you can see, I am already leaving

Dozie was so angry, he swore that nothing will ever make him take Bisola back. Right there, he called his lawyer in Nigeria and asked him to prepare the divorce papers and send a copy to Bisola to sign. He was done with everything that concerns her and was ready to move on with his life. He justified his actions with the fact that a man can put away his wife based on adultery.

Two months later, Dozie fell in love with a young lady who was also a Nigerian, she had gone to the States for her Masters. Dozie was skeptical about falling in love at first but he later decided to give it a try. Dozie’s mom was so happy to hear that her son was getting married to someone else who she felt will be a good wife to her son and support his ministry.

Dozie had plans to come home for Easter to meet with Laura’s parents since they lived in Nigeria and then begin the marriage preparation. A night before Dozie was to come to Nigeria to see Laura’s parents, he had a dream. In the dream, he was cultivating a plot of land alone when an old man appeared to him.

Old man: Son, why are you cultivating this land all alone? Look, you are already getting weary, where is the woman meant to help you?

Dozie: Baba, I have no woman for now, by the time I get married to Laura, she will be of great help to me

    Old man: who is Laura?

Dozie: she is the woman heaven is giving to me as a replacement

Old man: do you say heaven? You are recognized as a married man in Heaven and Laura isn’t recognized as the woman given to you. Where is the woman given to you? What have you done to her?

Dozie: calm down Baba, I didn’t do anything to Bisola. She cheated on me and even got pregnant for the man, am I supposed to nurse another man’s child in my home? That’s not possible Baba, Meanwhile, my ministry doesn’t need that kind of scandal

Old man: Did you love her just as Christ loves the church? Dozie, the ministry given to your wife is greater than the ministry God gave you. She is meant to be the backbone of your ministry

Dozie: Baba, I loved her with everything in me. While I kept traveling from one place to another, I never cheated on her. There were times when beautiful ladies were assigned to take care of me still, I didn’t sleep with them

Old man: Look here Dozie, your wife’s tears have gone up to Heaven. She is broken, she is hurt. Yes, she didn’t report you to any man not even her parent but she has reported you to God which is the greatest report.

Dozie: old man, I am not at fault here

Old man: while you were at the field fighting, the enemy left the field and went home to fight your wife and he won.

    Dozie: but…but…but…

Old man: You are a man so loved by God, your exploits are recognized in Heaven but you can’t go far in ministry without the support of Bisola. Heaven prepared her, especially for the ministry God gave you

Dozie: but she dishonored our marital vow

Old man: you made her vulnerable, remember how you left her for one month after your wedding? You were not there to attend to her emotional and sexual needs, you need to learn how to balance running your home and ministry

    Dozie: hmmm

Old man: Don’t go home to see Laura’s parents, she isn’t meant for you. You won’t survive the next arrow of the enemy if you go ahead to marry her

Dozie: but she is a child of God

Old man: but she isn’t meant for you. She doesn’t have what it takes to be your helpmeet. The devil will come through her

    Dozie: haaa!

Old man: you need to ask the Holy Spirit to teach you how to run your home because that’s your first ministry. Meanwhile, Bisola has dedicated your boys to me and I want to walk with them but your role in their life is needed to make that happen. My breath is already on them but I need you to teach them more about me. If you fail to do that, I won’t hesitate to collect everything I have deposited in you

Dozie: wait! Are you Jesus? Jesus! Jesus, is this you?

Old man: Go back home and do the right thing. My daughter needs to be free from this hurt, my covenant with her is that she will enjoy her marriage, and if you refuse to do the needful, I will take you away from the earth and give her to another man.

Dozie: Please, don’t do that Lord, give me the grace to do the right thing.

Dozie woke up with a scream, he fell on his knees immediately and began to cry.
