“It says we have a meeting with the chairman by 4pm” Eva said.

“Great! Just after our classes!” Becky smiled.

“You finally decided to come to school today” A guy smiled when Mason walked to him.

“So Finley, are you still up for tutoring my sis?” Mason asked

Quinn sighed as she watched her friends before facing Mason. “You came to school today”

“Yeah.. Was bored at home” Mason shrugged.

“You came just in time, remember mom asked me to find you a tutor” Mason said and Quinn frowned.

“I just dropped a tiny little bit in my academics! I told you I’ll improve this semester, why are-”

“Hi, I’m Finley”

“Quinn!” Mason’s voice snapped her out of her trance. Her eyes widened when she saw Finley’s hand was extended all this while for a handshake.

“Here’s my friend, Finley. He’ll be your new tutor from now on” Mason said and Quinn nodded excitedly.

The electronic bell rung.

“Time to head to our class, don’t play around” Mason said before walking away.

Quinn kept staring at Finley as he walked away with his brother.

“Quinn, what’s wrong with you?” One of her friends asked.

“I think… I’ve fallen in love” Quinn said dreamily.

The class was quite silent as the students payed their utmost attention to the teacher. Lucia bit the cork of her pen as she stared at the teacher.

Despite trying her best to understand what the teacher was saying, she still couldn’t grab what the teacher was saying.

She sighed out but smiled when she remembered of the great news they received this morning.

Kingsley didn’t fail to notice the happy vibe coming from her and he smirked, already knowing why she’s happy.

Though something didn’t sit well with him. Despite how much he tries to picture her the way the scandals painted her, he can’t.

She might be annoying and all that but he still can’t settle with the fact she would do something so degrading.

“That’s all for today class” The teacher, closing his book.

“For our next project, I want you to work it with your seatmate” The teacher said before leaving

“What?” Lucia muttered under her breath, looking really unpleased. She looked at Kingsley and rolled her eyes.

“Keep rolling your eyes, you’ll probably find a brain up there” Kingsley smirked.

Lucia stopped up and stepped on his toe really hard.

“Ouch!” Kingsley glared at her.

“Oh sorry, it was just an… accident” Lucia said, stressing the word “accident” before leaving.

“That brat” Kingsley hissed and stood up to leave too.

They were having swimming classes next so everyone began leaving to change.

“So will you come to my house or yours for the project” Becky asked Mason who was sitting next to her.

“Your house? Eww, I’ll send you my home address” Mason said before leaving the class.

Becky glared at him as he left.

Scarlett was the first to come to change for the swimming lessons. She actually left the classroom first because she feared having a conversation with Jackson.

She opened her locker and brought out her swimsuit then placed it on the bed. Just when she was about to start unbuttoning her shirt, the door swung.

She jolted and turned but her eyes widened when she saw it was Jackson.

“Sorry for the intrusion but we need to talk” Jackson said, locking the door.

“What..” Scarlett took in her lower lips.

Jackson took steps forwards and she took some steps back. He sighed and just kept the distance between them. “Why did you ignore my calls and why are you avoiding me?” Jackson asked softly

“Did I do something wrong? Or did I fall off the standard of the imagine you had in mind?” Jackson asked.

“No, it’s not that!” Scarlett said immediately. “It’s just that..” She took in her lips and immediately whined out.

“I fainted in front of you! I mean who does that! I wanted our first encounter to look perfect like in a fairytale but I just blacked out right there! I was too embarrassed to pick your calls. It’s your fault too, why did you have to be this perfect! I had a hard time convincing myself I was dating someone like you. Now, I’ll have some annoying girls lurking around you and I don’t like it. But-” Scarlett kept blabbing on and on that Jackson couldn’t hide the surprise look on his face.

He never knew she could talk this much. Jackson surprised face slowly turned to an amused one and he couldn’t help but laugh lightly.

“Am I that handsome?” Jackson chuckled and Scarlett looked down shyly.

He took a step closer and this time she didn’t back out, she just looked down nervously as he approached her.

He took her hand and Scarlett gasped faintly, slowly looking up.

“I’m just Jack.. A normal guy who got into this school through scholarship” Jackson said and Scarlett nodded.

“To be honest, at first I never believed in this online dating stuff but chatting with you kinda made me believe it. Same way we made it work online, let’s also make it work in real life” Jackson said and Scarlett nodded while smiling

Jackson mirrored her smiled and brought her hands to his lips, placing a kiss on her knuckles and just that sent butterflies to her tummy.

“Need to go and change. Bye” He said and left the room.

Scarlett look at the knuckles he kissed. “I’m never washing this hand ever again!!”
