Hyce followed without struggle, till they stepped out of the club together.
“You followed me here?” Isaac faced him.
“I’ve been coming here to watch you every night since I found out you work here. I didn’t come last night though cos I was drunk with Nina” Hyce replied.
“Thanks for putting the mad man in his place, but i still stand on my words. I’m not gay” Isaac said, and Hyce narrowed his eyes over the blinking red lights in front of the club.
“You look cuter tonight, I might just have to resume from where that man stopped” he muttered seriously.
“Meaning?” Isaac covered himself with his arms.

Rebekah returned from the games an hour ago, and she has been watching animes on her laptop since she couldn’t sleep.
She has a bowl of popcorn and a cup of milk which she has been downing and munching.
She was giggling as she dipped her hand into the popcorn bowl for more, but she found nothing.
“I finished it already?” She muttered, checking the milk cup too.
They’re all empty.
She paused the anime and left the bed, going out of the room.
She went downstairs and entered the kitchen for another round of popcorn.
Thanks to the fact that it’s late already, no maid or butler to budge her with greetings.
She got her popcorn bowl and a big keg of yogurt this time, but immediately she closed the fridge, she saw Conrad.
“Arhhh!!!!” She screamed, the popcorn bowl falling from her.
He’s standing beside the freezer, legs crossed at the ankles with his smug smile on his face.
“What are you doing here Conrad?” She tensed.
“My bitch of a mum will be getting married to your dad next month. I’ll be spending my nights here in this palace from now on” he replied simply.
“What!” Her eyes widened.
“Yeah. My room is right beside yours, and nice pyjamas by the way, baby sis” he roughed her hair before walking out of the kitchen.
Rebekah backed the freezer, looking at the wasted popcorn funnily.
She held her head and screamed out at once.

CARSON’S MANSION, EMORY’S ROOM*
Emory decided to smoke again tonight, so after three sticks of joint, she doused the smell with apples.
Half-eaten red apples are scattered around her bed like her habit, and there are wrappers of mint sweet too.
She loves them.
There are chocolate nylons too, she literally stuffed her face before finally falling asleep, rolling herself in the middle of her duvet.
Her laptop is at the foot of the bed, and TITANIC is playing.
Her favorite movie since she was young.
She was watching it for the hundredth time before she fell asleep.
She changed position on the bed, and a gasp escaped her lips.
She groaned from sleep, sweating and breathing fast and hard as she landed in the nightmare again…
FLASHBACK, AGE ELEVEN*
Young Emory was rubbing her eyes with her hands as she woke up in her cute princess bed surrounded with barbie dolls.
It’s a peaceful Sunday morning.
“Did you sleep well?” Mr. Carson asked beside her, and her eyes opened wide.
Normally, it’s Tate who wakes her up, so why her dad today?
“Dad?” She jumped into his arms, and the man carried her fondly like his baby, arranging her hair.
She might be eleven, but her parents treat her like a complete baby since she’s their one and only.
“Where’s Ma?” She asked.
“She went on a trip and will return tonight” Mr. Carson replied, rubbing her hair as he took her out of the room.
“She didn’t tell me” Emory muttered.
“So you won’t miss her much” Mr. Carson replied.
“Not true, I’m missing her already” Emory said, and Mr. Carson chuckled.
She made morning pancakes with her dad and ate with him, then she had her bath afterwards.
She expected her dad to stay home with her throughout since her mum is out, but Mr. Carson came downstairs with his briefcase.
“It’s Sunday, dad. Don’t tell me you’re going to the office” Emory blocked him.
“Yeah, I have an important meeting” the man replied.
“Then take me with you” Emory said.
“No, Em you can’t…
“Please dad… please please I don’t want to stay home with the maid…I don’t…
“The meeting is for business men, and I can’t bring you along”
“But I can stay outside and wait for you” she insisted.
“Em listen to me. Stay home with the maid, I won’t take long” Mr. Carson said.
“No, dad…I don’t want to. I want to follow you please…please dad,,, please” Emory started crying for real.
“Fine, then go change your sandals. Wear the new shoes I got you” Mr. Carson said.
“Yes!” Emory quickly wiped her tears and ran upstairs.
She changed into the shoes and even changed her clothes, but by the time she got downstairs, Mr. Carson left already.
He deceived her.
“We’ll have fun together ok? Don’t worry” the maid told her.
Emory was about to start crying again when the door opened.
Excited that her dad came back for her, she rushed there, but she met a different face.
Uncle Fred’s.
“Hello, beautiful girl” he smiled.
BACK TO THE PRESENT*
Tears were already sliding out of the corners of Emory’s eyes as she wriggled in bed, trying to wake up from the nightmare.
“Noah” a voice called softly, rocking her cheeks gently.
She stopped wriggling.
“Noah” the voice came again, whispering against her ear.
She moved her long lashes, stilling completely.
A sniffle left her nose.
“Noah” the voice came for the third time, a familiar thumb rubbing the shell of her ear.
Her eyes opened, but they’re drowsy.
She sat up in bed immediately, climbing the laps of the person and wrapping her arms on him, her warm body folding to his own.
“Don’t leave..ok?” She whispered in a small voice.
Just like the other time at Forte, she’s probably thinking she’s still dreaming.
Levi stroked her hair, his eyes blank as her tears stained his neck.
“Hush, close your eyes and sleep back for me” he whispered.
As if spellbound, she slept off within seconds, on his laps…in his arms.

DIAZ MANSION*
North was fuming around the living room, and at the same time boiling.
She was only able to come home after receiving treatment, but her chest still hurts and she’s probably still breathing internally.
How dare he?
How could Levi do that to her?
Chadwick should be fine by now, so they have to look for ways to make him pay, but that’s not even the pressing issue at hand.
Her father is currently at the hospital, still unconscious as a result of what Omar did.
It was the maid who told her, and when she went to check on him, his condition is bad as hell.
She might just kill Omar tonight.
That same minute, Omar came in, looking damn dangerous and stiff.
“What did you to dad? Huh? You want him dead? Answer me!” North blocked him.
“Out of my way” he glared.
“Say that again, idiot!” She spat.
“Buzz off!” He pushed her, and North fell on the ground.
“What the hell!” North spranged up and elbowed him on the stomach.
Omar staggered, hitting his head hard on the wall.
He touched that spot, and when he saw blood, his eyes reddened.
“I’ll kill you” he muttered, dashing for the kitchen.
“Come back here, fool!” North rushed after him.
When she got to the door, Omar came out with a knife, and without waiting, he shoved it into her chest.
“Urghhhh!!!!” North groaned, her eyes wide with shock, terror and horror as her blood wet the ground.
“Om…
Before she could finish, Omar removed the knife and jammed it back into her chest.
Blood splurged from her mouth, and more of it painted the ground as another hellish scream left her mouth.
Her blood sprayed on Omar’s face, but he didn’t stop.
“I’m done being a fool for everyone especially you! You’ve never treated me like a brother and father never treated me like a son!…no one has ever treated me like a human! Everyone is mad!!!” He yelled in an animalistic frenzy.
He stabbed her repeatedly for more than ten times, and by the time he was done, North was already dead.
Absolutely. Dead.
He dropped her body with the knife, his hands, face, clothes and shoes stained with her blood.
His body was shaking vehemently as he ran to the storeroom to get a shovel and a digger.
He threw them in his car trunk, then he came back for North’s body.
He carried it out to the trunk too and made sure to lock all doors before zooming out of the property.
He drove to a thick forest in that same street and made sure to go deep before stopping the car.
He got the digger and shovel, crying as he started digging.
“It’s over…I won” he laughed despite the tears.
“I won!”
“I won!”
“It’s over…I won!” He grinned.
After digging shallowly for about two hours, he threw North’s body inside.
It only took thirty minutes to cover the body with soil again, burying her totally.
He then covered that spot with dried leaves to avoid suspicions.
He let out a foggy breath.
“I’m coming for you too, Banks… I’ll kill you!” He laughed sickly.
