I followed him to his office where he offered me a seat and went to take his on the other side of the table.

“Do you need a coffee or anything?” He asked.

We went ahead to talk about my duties, salary and all and I must admit – it sounded pretty cool.
When we were done, I took my position in front of the office while the other lady moved to God-knows-where and geez! She looked pretty angry at me.

Hours later, it was time to pick Axel up from school and I decided to tell Zach about it.

“Sir”, I called as I stood in front of him.

“I’m sorry but, I need to leave now. I need to pick up my son from school”.
Thank goodness we already talked about it in the morning.

“Oh! Is it time?” He asked and I nodded.

“Okay, then. I’ll give you a ride there” he said and my eyes widened in shock.

“S…sir?” I stuttered as he stood up with his car keys.

“Um…I really appreciate the help, but there’s no need for that. I can take care manage on my own, please”.

“Come on Zoey. Its okay. Besides, I just feel going for a ride and taking some air. Its fine” he said and started towards the door.

I rubbed my neck and finally followed him out of the office.

After a long drive, we got to the school building and I stepped out of the car to get Axel.

I walked into the building, headed for his class and there I met him waiting alongside others.

“Mum!!” He called and ran into my arms and laughed and carried him up.

Awwn! Looks like someone missed me!” I teased and tickled him and he laughed harder.

“Welcome ma’am” his teacher who had been smiling the entire time said.

“Oh! Good evening ma. Thank you” I replied quickly and collected Axel’s bags from him.

“Come on” I cooed as I held his hand and led him out of the classroom.

We got outside and thankfully, Zach was still waiting.

“Huh? Are we using the car?” Axel asked as we approached it.

“Um…yes. He’s just being of help” I replied him, feeling q little uneasy.

We got near and he used his eyes to open the door – magically – without touching it.

I gasped and quickly looked around to be sure no one noticed it.

“Hey! Axel! I’ve warned you to stop doing that in public, haven’t i?” I growled at him.

“Yeah – I know” he shrugged and jumped into the car.

I shook my head and opened the front door, getting in as well.

“Hey, buddy” Zach turned to him and said.

“Yeah – hi dude” Axel replied,making me amused.

“Wat’s up? How was school today?” Zach asked.

“Yeah..” He just simply replied and took his eyes to the window.

Huh? What’s wrong with him?

I looked at him and tried signalling him to greet properly, but he ignored my stares.

I don’t understand. Doesn’t he like Zach or what?

I rolled my eyes and sat properly and Zach started the car and took off.

I wonder what’s wrong with Axel. He’s completely as strong headed as his father.

Zach kept bringing up little discussions along the way and suddenly, he screeched the car to a halt when he had almost knocked down a woman.

“Oh my God!!” I exclaimed as I watched the woman fall down on the floor.

I opened the door and rushed out to meet her struggling on her feet

“Ma’am, I’m so sorry. Were you…”

I suspended my words when she finally stood up and I had a proper look at her face.

The Queen:
I knelt in the temple, offering sacrifices to the saviors – like I’ve been doing for the past 5 years.

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I lifted the plate of hot ashes and circled it around the image.

I did so for 3 times before dropping it back on the floor.

Then, I placed my palms together and prayed – praying for my son to wake up.
