Good afternoon Daddy. Chinwekene interrupted her father’s discussion with her aunt.
She was looking so excited to see her father. She touched her father’s toes raised his hand and placed his palm on her cheeks. What Chinwekene was doing to her father wasn’t new to Egodi but she couldn’t recognize the person she knew who was doing something like that to sick people.

My mom. She is greeting someone on the sick bed over there. Chinwekene said pointing towards the direction her mom was. She turned to her father. I missed you, Dad. I remained Chin-chin for you daddy, Take. Chinwekene said handing a cube of Chin-chin to her father.
He can’t move his hands. Put the Chin-chin in his hand and help him put it in his mouth or better feed him.
Chinweke was trying to feed her father with the chin-chin but her father was too stubborn to open his mouth. Egodi signaled him to eat the Chin-chin. He opened his mouth and chewed the chin-chin. The smile on Chinwekene’s face wasn’t hidden and her Aunty couldn’t hold back her smile. Chinwekene sat on her Daddy’s bed and was looking at him. Rebecca walked in and was surprised her husband didn’t scold Chinwekene to leave his bed.
Minutes later, Ifediora slept. Rebecca and Egodi also dozed off on the chair they were sitting on.
Why are you looking at me like? Ifediora who woke up from sleep asked Chinwekene he met looking at him.
Chinwekene didn’t know what to answer him. She buried her face on the floor in other to avoid looking at her father.
Some minutes later, Ifediora woke up for the second time and still met Chinwekene looking at him again.
I don’t know why your mother has to bring if you look at me like that again you will go home. Ifediora screamed at Chinwekene.
What is it Ifediora? Egodi asked.
Please, take Chinwekene home. Let her go home to her siblings I don’t know what she’s doing here. Ifediora said raising his voice.

What Rebecca said triggered Ifediora’s anger he then hît Chinwekene to leave her bed.

Ifediora didn’t realize his paralyzed body moved when he hît Chinwekene on the waist. He slowly stood up to know if he could. Miraculously he stepped down from the bed and threw a step.
What happened? How come I could walk? Were different drugs given to me while I was asleep? Ifediora asked looking confused.
