My mother didn’t need to remind me before I knew that I wasn’t brought up in a home where immorality was encouraged or tolerated, but I also knew that I wouldn’t be able to explain to my mother what Madonna meant to me, and how she affects me.
How would I explain to her? How can I make her see that my world now revolves around Madonna?

“I want to eat. Please get me bread and butter, I want a bottle of very cold coca cola too” she told me, pouting like an offended little child.

“Oh did she say so? Fine, I won’t eat again in this house. Since at every point in this house, she has to decide what I do and what I don’t, I may as well have to do everything she wants me to do.

I even got her the jar of mayonnaise, in case she wanted to add it to the bread too.
My mother saw me crossing from the kitchen to my room, with the tray full of the things I had gone for, and shook her head. Luckily, she didn’t say anything or try to stop me from taking the things to my room.
