“Where’s mom? How’s she? Pass her the phone.” Catalina said.

Calvin took in his lips.

“Umm,, I’m currently not at home but mom is fine” He said slowly.

“Oh alright.. It’s 8Am here so I have to go and prepare breakfast. Bye! Will you later!” She muttered and hung up.

Calvin brought down his phone and stared at it..

“I just pray this news díes down before she comes back. Catalina can be more sensitive than me” He muttered and pocketed his phone.

“How about we do something… Let’s spend the rest of the day doing something not related to our problem” Aubrey said

“Sure.. So what can we do?” Calvin asked as they began walking.

“How about we go to the amusement park.. It’s still open, I’m sure of it. Or we go to the skatepark” Aubrey proposed.

“How about you start by you..” Calvin blocked her way.

“Huh? Me?” Aubrey raised a brow and Calvin nodded.

Frederick moved on the bed with his eyes closed, he touched the other side of the bed but no one was there.

That’s when his eyes flew open to see Catalina wasn’t longer in the room. He rubbed his eyes and slowly got down the bed.

He went and brushed his teeth before leaving the room. From the appetizing aroma that filled the air, he could guess she was in the kitchen.

He went there and truly there she was, cooking breakfast while humming a song to herself.

She was putting on one of his slip-ons and that looked adorably huge in her feet.

He smiled and walked to her before hugging her from behind, that startled Catalina.

“Good morning Heartbeat” He whispered to her ear and kissed her neck. Catalina couldn’t help but smile.

“Good morning” She muttered and turned off the gas cooker before facing

Her hand went to his forehead and she felt relieved that the high fever was gone.

“No more fever” She smiled.

“All thanks to my love” Frederick held her waist.

“How did you sleep?” He asked

“Bad! You kept snoring, I couldn’t sleep” Catalina pouted

“Me? Snore? What!!” Frederick exclaimed and Catalina laughed.

She wrapped her hands round his neck.

“Fred… I’ve been thinking since I woke up,, what if your family doesn’t approve of our relationship. What will you do?” Catalina asked and Frederick sighed.

“You shouldn’t be thinking of things like that yunno…” Frederick said and lifted her, placing her on the counter with him in between her.

“Okay,,, suppose they don’t that won’t change anything coz I chose to love you and when I make up my mind,, nothing will change it” Frederick said and rubbed his nose on hers.

She smiled and pecked his lips but Frederick held her waist and deepened the kiss. He nibbled gently on her lower lip, sucking on it occasionally.

Catalina ran her hands through his hair, pulling him closer and their lips melted into each other.

Her heart just couldn’t stop beating as they kissed. What did this man do to her?

They broke the kiss and Frederick smiled, rubbing his thumb on her lips which were already swollen.

“Will it be okay if I ask why or what caused your phobia?” Frederick spoke and Catalina’s smile fell but she smiled back again..

Frederick brought out his necklace and stared at it.
