Hope saw Lucian coming out of Physics lab and quickly walked towards him.
“Lucian” she called and he turned around.
“Hey, you okay?” He asked.
“Yeah,sure. Have you seen Jane?” She asked, curiously.
“I thought she was at your place last night” he said.
“No… she wasn’t… didn’t she come home last night?”
“She didn’t” he replied and they froze for a moment.
“Have you tried calling her?” Lucian asked and she nodded stiffly.
“Yeah, but she isn’t answering. Have you?” She asked and he quickly slide out his phone and dialed her line.
“Hi it’s me – please leave a message” the voice on speaker said and the phone disconnected.
He sighed and looked at Hope. “It’s not reachable” he said and she sighed.
Just immediately Lucian’s phone rang… He looked at the caller ID and it was printed – UNKNOWN CALLER.
“Unknown caller?” He muttered before answering the call.
“Who’s this?” He asked with his eyes staring at Hope who was eager to know who the caller Is.
“Your worst nightmare” the female voice on the phone said coldly and Lucian looked at his screen then puts it on Speaker.
The unknown caller smirked before speaking.
“You might be wondering where your precious sister is” and this got Lucian’s interest.
Hope’s eyes widened.
“Where’s she?” He asked, getting angry and the voice smirked.
“Well… she’s fine with me” the voice chuckled. “But not for long” the call ended.
Lucian quickly dialed the number again but it wasn’t connecting.
He was already breathing intensely and didn’t know what to do or what to say.
“Who’s the caller?” Hope muttered and he just stared at her confused and his blood boiling in anger.
His phone rang again and he quickly answered it.
“I don’t know who you are or what you are but don’t you dare hurt my sister!” He warned under his breath.
The caller only chuckled mockingly.
“Who said anything about hurting your pathetic sister” the voice laughed.
“I’m so going to torture her that she would beg me for her death” the voice suddenly became so cold and mean.
The call ended… and Lucian groaned in anger as he clenched his fist on the wall.
His hands bled.
“Calm down Lucian” Hope consoled and held him.
“Calm down? You said calm down? My sister is in danger and you want me to calm down?” He’s so furious and angry. He withdrew his hands from hers and walked away.
“Lucian?” Hope muttered but he ignored and left.
