Emery stood immediately Raymond entered the office

Their eyes met and they stared at each other for over two minutes before Raymond coughed, dipping his hand into his pocket

She left the office hurriedly, walking past Emery’s table without looking back

Liz texted Blake and he texted back, telling her to meet him in one of the washrooms

She opened the door to the washroom and met him waiting truly

He broke it and brought out an handkerchief from his pocket, he gave it to her

He undressed her himself and made her lay on the floor with her chest down

He pulled off his shorts and trousers and went down with her, moving in through the back…

Same Day

After having a good time f*ck with Liz in the washroom, Blake is going back to his office when he bumped into Emery at the hallway, she’s actually going to the restroom

She took a simple bow and made to walk past him but he roughly pulled her back, making her face him

“Wh…wh..what?* She stammered

” I want to f*ck you” he said flatly, scanning her hips with his hungry eyes

She managed to free one of her hands and it went to her hair

She removed the hairpin and dived it into his shoulder

He left her immediately

She held the pin up, breathing heavily

Blood is already coming out of his stabbed shoulder, he held it

Emery ran out of the place

“Bloody hell!” He ranted as his shoulder continued bleeding

“You got what you deserve” Raymond said, coming out of a corner

He has actually been watching and when he made to save her, that was when she saved herself by stabbing Blake with the pin

“Big brother, so you took my warning as a joke, I think I told you not to mess with her” he said

“Sorry to say but Liz is a bitch, I just know that….I need to go get my shoulder treated bro” Blake replied and left him

Saturday

” Finally I can rest!, It was hectic throughout the week!” Emery shouted immediately she woke up

” I know right?, So where should we go today?” She asked

“Let’s just cruise round New York and have fun!” She screamed

“Sure, let’s prepare” Glenn replied as they got off the bed

Raymond didn’t sleep a wink last night, all he did is think about his secretary

“I’m definitely under a spell” he thought as he got off the bed this morning

Liz is far from his thoughts

He went downstairs and told the maids he wants coffee

It was brought in a swift and he sat on a couch in the living room,. Watching a modelling show

The current model on show is curvy like Emery too , she’s wearing a crop top, revealing her navel, reminding him of Emery too

He put off the TV and made to sip the coffee but her face is even appearing inside the cup

He placed the cup on the dinning table and opened the freezer to take a drink but all he’s seeing is her

He shut the freezer door in frustration and lean on it

He went back upstairs and entered the bathroom for a warm bath

He stepped into the tub and his eyes caught the ring on his finger again

“Emery” he said, bringing it closer to his lips

He almost kissed the ring but he stopped himself

He later came out of the tub after a clean bath

He put on a white shirt and a white jacket on blue trousers

He stared at his phone and thought of Who to call

” Oh Julius!, That psycho!”

He dialled his number and he picked immediately

” Hey psycho”

” Hey bastard, you called me today, I should write down the date” Julius said

*Shut the crap, I’m coming over to your house” he said

“Really?, You’re always welcome, but eat before you come, I can’t cook for a rude bastard and my maids can’t cook for you either” Julius said

” Shut your mouth” Raymond said before hanging up

He left the house and his driver is already waiting beside the car he’s taking out

He entered the car and the drive to Julius house started..

“Whoa!, New York is beautiful!” Emery screamed during the bus cruise

Many people is on the bus for the cruise, it’s a convertible top bus so the top is opened

“I know right?, No place like America” Glenn replied

The bus took them far into many streets in New York and Emery can’t help but shout and scream throughout

The cruise ended at midday and they got off the bus, they proceeded to watch the new Dale’s buildings, it contains beautiful buildings…

“Dude don’t tell me you came here to sleep” Julius said, nudging Raymond who’s sleeping on the couch, hugging a pillow

He has been like that since he got to Julius house

“I’m not sleeping, my eyes are just closed” he replied, opening his eyes

” Is something bothering you?, You look … Bothered” Julius said

Raymond sat up

“Julius look into my eyes and tell me what you see” Raymond said

Julius looked deeply into his eyes and smiled

“I see madness” he said

Raymond hissed

“You might be right anyways, I don’t even know what I’m doing anymore” he said and lay back on the couch

” Something is definitely wrong, tell me” Julius said.

Raymond sat up again and brought out his phone

“I think I’m missing someone, very badly, maybe hearing her voice will do, should I call her?” He said

” Are you out of your mind?, Why ask again, that’s the only solution though it’ll only make you miss the person more, by the way are you talking about Liz?” Julius asked

” I and Liz had a fight so we’re not in good terms”

“So who’s it?”

Raymond ignored him and dialled Emery’s number

She didn’t pick at the first ring

But at the second, she did

“Before you’ll ask who’s on the line again, it’s me” he said, hoping she’ll recognize his voice

” Boss!, How’s your weekend going?” She asked

“The worse I’ve ever had, I can’t think straight and… nevermind” he replied

” Oh”

” Where are you?”

” At the Dale’s buildings with Glenn” she replied

“Really?”

“Yes boss”

He hung up and dragged Julius up.

” Don’t tell me you’re going to put me up for sale” Julius said, eyeing him

” I wish I can do that but no one will want to buy a twerp, let’s go* Raymond said, pulling him out of the house

“I can’t believe I’m getting dragged out of my own house” Julius said

“shut up and follow me” he said and continued pulling till they got to the car

“Now tell me where we’re going to” Julius said..

Raymond made him sit in the car

” You have no right to know till we get there” he said and shut the door

He got in through the other side

“To the Dale’s buildings” he said to his driver

” Dale’s buildings! ” Julius almost shouted…

“My boss, he asked where I am” she replied

The time is some minutes to seven, it’s already getting dark

“Let’s go back home, I’m tired” Emery said

“We haven’t finished seeing all the buildings” Glenn said

“Maybe some other day, it looks like it’ll rain, I don’t want it to rain” she replied

” Ion think so” Glenn replied as Raymond’s car entered the place

It came to an halt in front of them and Raymond came out of it with another guy

“Boss” Emery said surprisingly

He walked up to them

“You really came?” Emery said, still in surprise

Honestly she’s happy to see him cos he has been on her head for half of the day, maybe because she cares for him as a boss

Julius kept his gaze fixed on Glenn and she can’t help but notice, she made sure she has no eye contact with him so it won’t become awkward.

“Julius can you help me keep Glenn’s company for now?, I need to talk to Emery” Raymond said

Julius looked at Glenn again and their eyes finally meet

He smiled

“Sure” he replied

Raymond took Emery’s hand without warning and pulled her out of sight to the balcony of one of the buildings

He badly wants to hug her now just to feel her body warmth but he restrained himself

“I really wasn’t expecting you to come” Emery said, doing the lips thing again

Raymond looked away

“Stop doing that…oh I guess it has become part of you” he said

” What?”

” Nothing” he replied

They both stared at each other endlessly for a while

The sky rumbled, sign of a coming rain

“It shouldn’t rain tonight, I don’t want to get sick again” she said fearfully

“what’s the meaning of that” he said

“nothing” she replied

” Look Emery, you can tell me anything ok?” He said

She looked at him and curved her lips before talking

“Actually I’m an orphan, I grew up in an orphanage” she said

Raymond looked at her in shock

” My parents died in a fatal car accident on a rainy night when I was seven, dad was a farmer and mum only helps him in his farm…we have only the farm to live for. … That fateful day, it started raining while they were in the farm…they waited for it to stop but it didn’t, till the night

I waited at our small house for my parents to come but no sign of them, it’s raining heavily and I cried while waiting for them, not knowing I’m not gonna see them anymore

Maybe they thought of me as the only one at home, they entered the rain and started trekking home but unfortunately, they both got hit by a truck, they died on the spot

I can still remember how the rain water was flushing their blood on the road that night

I lived in an orphanage since then and rainy nights has been the scariest thing on Earth to me, I get sick badly anytime it rains at night cos it brings back a rush of the scary memory…you might want to ask how I went to school, well it’s the orphanage owner, she sent all the kids in the orphanage then to school, but Immediately after I finished my university education last year, she passed away,

I left the orphanage and met Glenn, she has really helped a lot” she said

Raymond hid his tears

Her Story is really touching

“But it seems it’ll really rain tonight, I’m scared” she said, looking at the dark sky

That was interrupted with a rain drop on her face

“Let’s get back to the car, seems like it’ll really rain” he said,

He held her hand and they both ran back to the car as the rain continued dropping

Even before they got to the car, she has started shaking like a drenched kitten

They got to the car and it started raining immediately

Her phone rang, it’s Glenn

Raymond stared at her phone

It’s out of the world, the screen is.. crashed already

She had to pickup before recognizing the caller with the voice

He can’t hide his tears anymore, he rubbed his eyes with his fingers and wiped it as it fell so she won’t notice

“Hey Emery, are you ok? Where are you?, What do I do, it’s raining” Glenn’s voice said

” I’m.. still with…. boss, and I’m… I’m fine” she replied with a shaky voice

“Emery you’re shaking” Glenn said worriedly

“I’ll be … fine, just don’t … worry” she replied and her phone went dead immediately, maybe it ran out of battery…

“I….I…I’m… feeling cold” she said, shaking badly already, she rested her head on the seat and despite the fact that it’s raining heavily outside, she’s sweating and shaking at the same time

He took off his jacket and then his shirt, leaving him shirtless

He wore the shirt for her first before wearing the jacket for her too

“Headache too, I’m… feeling headache, … and it … hurts” she said weakly, the rate at which she’s shaking will make anyone think she entered the rain

Raymond ran out of ideas on what to do.

Pharmacies would have closed by now, he’d have ran out in the rain to get her drugs

He brought out his hanky from his pocket and opened the car window slightly

He pointed it out and the rainwater drenched it, he brought it back and made to place it on her forehead but she unconsciously fell from her seat

He caught her, making her head land on his chest

Her temperature is too hot

“Emery” he called softly but no answer

She’s still breathing though

He hugged her tightly with her head on his bare chest, trying to share his body warmth with her

“Boss” she said slowly

“Don’t talk Emery.. just hug me back and let’s share my body warmth” he said, pulling her closer…
