With a bouquet of roses in hand, Bobby walk into the hospital using the back exit.
A smile form on his lips as the thought of seeing Stephanie again filled him with joy.
He had been a fool to betray her, he had been a fool to let her go but not again, he will do his best to earn her love and forgiveness.
With that thought in mind, he got to the reception desk and made enquiry about Fannie Grey.
” She left some hours ago. Somehow the reporters got info about her being here and so, she left” The receptionist told him.
“Can you tell me the reason why she’s here? Is she sick or is a relative of hers sick?” Bobby ask.
“Am sorry but that’s confidential ”
“Common, don’t be like that. Fannie is a friend of mine but we lost contact. I’d like to know if she’s fine” Bobby said pushing some money into the lady hand.
Blinded by greed, the receptionist gave him the info he needed.
A while later, A pale looking Bobby left the hospital, heading towards his car.
” Stephanie has a daughter? Is she married?” Bobby mutter to himself, hating the thought of Stephanie being married to another man.

“Well you should start being interested cause I happen to be very much interested in yours, Stephanie Roger”
As soon as Ashton said that, Stephanie calm demeanor begin to fade away.
What does he mean by that? Does he know that the triplets are his? Does he plan to be a part of their life? Will he try to get their custody?
These thoughts swirl around Stephanie’s head and not for once did she consider the fact that Ashton sudden interest might just be centered on her and her alone.
The ringing of Stephanie phone saved her from giving him a reply.
She turn away from him to answer her aunt call.
“Am on my way. I will be home in no time, take care, love you too” She ended the call.
“Are they home?” Ashton ask as she turn back to him.
“Yes”
“Then we might as well continue our journey”
“No” Stephanie refusal came out curt and precise.
“No?”
“I’d rather take a taxi, I mean it”
“Why do you keep refusing my….”
“I don’t need it! I never needed it before and neither do I need it now. So Ashton, I hope we can keep our distance, you told me to get out of your life five years ago and I did and now I hope you do the same” With that said, Stephanie hail a passing cab and got into the car leaving Ashton standing there.
^^ SUSAN & STEPHANIE APARTMENT^^
” Thank God you are back. Did he come with you?” Susan ask as she stared outside, hoping to see a sign of Ashton.
“No he didn’t, why do you ask?” Stephanie ask as she pull off her coat.
“To give him a piece of my mind. Have been wanting to do so a long time ago” Susan let out fiercely.
“You don’t have to do that. We won’t be seeing him again cause we are leaving tomorrow. Have book out tickets on my way home” Stephanie said, walking into the kitchen to see Fiona stuffing the cheese cake Susan bake for her.
“This is yummy, mommy. I miss eating it cause the hospital won’t give us any” Fiona said, her mouth stain with the cream.
“That’s because you needed to be on a healthy diet for the surgery” Stephanie explain, wiping the stain from her mouth.
“Do we have to wait a long time before I get a new heart?” Fiona ask and too choke to speak, Stephanie pull the little girl into her arms.
“Don’t worry, everything will be fine. We will be back in New York tomorrow and you will get to see Faye and Fredrick, they miss you dreadfully” Susan inject, lightning up the mood.
The sooner they leave, the better for them, Stephanie thought, silently watching her aunt and Fiona chatter away.
^^ ASHTON APARTMENT ^^
“Did you get them home safe?” Ashton ask as he pour his favourite wine into two glasses, handing Stanley one before settling on the extravagant sofa to drink his wine.
“I did and did you get to talk to Miss Fannie?” Stanley ask in return.
“I did but she turn me down and made it clear she doesn’t want anything to do with me” Ashton reply, swirling the wine in his glass.
“I can clearly understand her. I was quite rude to her in the past but she caused it by claiming me to be the father of her child” Ashton said in his defence.
“Frankly speaking boss, I think you should reconsider that fact” Stanley said suddenly.
“I saw her daughter today and I can clearly say that she looks like you and the most craziest part is that she loves cheese cake as much as you do” Stanley told him but Ashton shook his head.
“It’s just a coincidence. Stephanie child isn’t mine”
“Why don’t you have a look at her yourself? Pay them a visit tomorrow and take a look at that child”
“I don’t….”
“It won’t hurt you boss. You only have to take a look and that’s all” Stanley said quickly, cutting him off.
“Fine then. I will go and that’s to prove to you that Stephanie’s child isn’t mine” Ashton said, sipping his wine.
