HALL**

The hall contained few people who were waiting for the father to arrive with the fiancé of the day.

Michael could be seen standing in front, looking so dashing and handsome.

Noelle and Robert together with few family members were sitting down as they awaited Reuben and Arianna’s arrival.

Noelle couldn’t help but look at Michael. These past days, something seems off with him.. Like he’s more quite and obedient.

Outside the hall, two figures could be seen. One struggling hard while the other dragging the one struggling

“Dad!! Let me go!!” Arianna said, still struggling.

Reuben grabbed her arms and slammed her back on the wall. Arianna flinched in fear..

“Shut up!! You’re getting married to Michael whether you like it or not!! I’m your father I make the rules!!” Reuben snapped at her.

At first, he was really shocked to see Michael looked identical to Nathaniel but come to think of it, it’s better.. With her fiancé having the same face as her boyfriend, Arianna will quickly divert her feelings to Michael

“Do you hate me this much that you want to ruin my future” Arianna asked as tears fell from her eyes.

“Don’t lie to me!! You’re doing it for your selfish reasons!!” Arianna shouted.

Reuben began glaring at her..

“Dad,, the moment I walk in that hall.. I swear,, you’re not longer my father” Arianna said in tears

“Its your headache not mine” Reuben smirked and opened the door

Everyone in the hall turned to them. Noelle smiled when she saw they arrived.

Arianna looked front to see Michael standing there while smiling at her. She teared up even more when she remembered about Nathaniel.

“Bunny,, save me” She said inwardly as her and her father began taking slow steps towards Michael.

“Why is she crying?” Robert asked.

“Must be tears of joy” Noelle immediately said and Robert just nodded.

They finally got to Michael and Reuben smiled at him.

“I entrust you to take care of my daughter” He said.

“I will,, with my life” Michael replied.

Reuben nodded and went to sit beside Noelle and Robert.

“Where’s Beatrice?” Robert asked Reuben.

“She’s..sick” He said slowly.

Robert furrowed his brows and just nodded. Something definitely feels odd but he can’t pinpoint what. Well,, he just knows about the arranged marriage, little did he know it was forced.

Arianna looked at the door of the entrance in tears, hoping so much that someone can just come in at the last minute and save her.

She looked back at Michael, glaring hatefully at him.

Michael on the other hand smiled and her eyes widened when she felt something move in her heart. She immediately glanced at his neck and her eyes widened

She opened her mouth to speak but Michael cupped her cheek, preventing her from speaking.

“You look ugly with tears on your face” Michael said, cleaning her tears.

Reuben smiled on his seat when he saw the obedient look on Arianna’s face when Michael touched her. This is what he likes about her,, she’s too gullible and weak in spirit.

A man walked to them with two rings, placed on a cushion. The ring was so beautiful and shinny.

“Michael personally choose the ring” Noelle whispered to Reuben who smiled more.

Michael took the ring and took Arianna’s hand. Arianna’s gaze never left his face as he did with her heart beating insanely fast..

“With this ring, I promise I’ll take care of you.. Love you and cherish you for the rest of my life…. Till my last breath I’ll love you” Michael said as he slipped the ring in her finger. The ring rested just above the promise ring Nathaniel gave her

Arianna took the ring too with shaky hands. She wasn’t shaking due to fear but because she just couldn’t believe what’s happening.

She took Michael’s hand and slipped the ring on his ring finger too. Michael took her hand and kissed it..

Reuben and the other guests began clapping for them.

Arianna slowly smiled as tears escaped her eyes..

“Thank you so much… Bunny” She cupped his cheek.

Almost immediately, they began hearing claps. Everyone turned their heads to the entrance and Noelle with Robert’s eyes bulged out, almost falling out.

In front of them, Michael walked in slowly while clapping with that usual smirk on his face. This Michael had bangs while the Michael at the front didn’t.

Reuben eyes narrowed in confusion..

“Michael?” Noelle immediately stood up.

She looked back at the alter and another Michael stood there.

“Can’t believe that dàmn bus was so slow,, I missed the show” Michael sighed and ran his hand through his hair

“Never knew full bangs fit me” Michael smiled.

“What’s happening? How come I see two Michaels” Robert stood too

The people in hall looked quite confused and shocked too.

“I’m the real Michael,, meet my doppelganger. Nathaniel” Michael said, pointing at Nathaniel who was standing at the alter.

FLASHBACK, THREE DAYS AGO**

When Nathaniel punched Michael at the rooftop, Michael faced him with a vicious look on his face.

He suddenly busted out in laughter, confusing Nathaniel even more.

“Can’t believe you’re this short tempered” Michael laughed for some minutes before stopping.

“Actually, I too I don’t like Arianna. I just agreed to the marriage because of my mom… I can’t possibly stick to one p**sy my whole life” Michael said and leaned on the wall..

He gazed at the sky for a while before looking at Nathaniel.

“You love Arianna a lot right?” Michael asked

“More than my life” Nathaniel replied almost immediately.

“Then let’s get you two engaged” Michael said.

“Huh?”

“My mom already informed me I’ll be getting engaged to her in three days from now which I think Arianna doesn’t know. We can simply swap places,, I go to that fan meeting in your place and you take my place as Michael till the engagement night.. What do you think?” Michael asked.

“I don’t know” Nathaniel muttered.

This is surely a risky trick they’re about to play because if by chance they get caught, it’ll ruin the plan and also he feels like he’ll be playing a trick on Arianna.

Not that he doesn’t want to get engaged to her.. If it was up to him, he’ll marry her this second but he has to think about her. Is she really ready??

“C’mon! Think about it!! If you don’t want to then she’ll end up with me” Michael said.

“I’m in” Nathaniel said after a moment of reflection..

“Great” Michael said.

“That means you’ll have to act like me and also live with my parents for a while.. I’m a stubborn and noisy person and also naughty,, hope you can play in the role” Michael said.

“And I’m calm, quiet and jovial.. Don’t go around flirting under my name.” Nathaniel warned him and Michael chuckled before nodding.

“Deal?” Michael stretched his hand forth

“I like you… You’re just like an inverse of me” Michael said and Nathaniel smiled.

“Let’s meet up immediately after class to swap identity and look..” Nathaniel said and Michael nodded.

Reuben stared at Michael for a while before turning to Nathaniel who was now holding Arianna’s hand..

Nathaniel smirked as he stared directly at Reuben, coming closer to him with Arianna beside him..

“I’m really honored you handed me your daughter hand in marriage,,, father in law” Nathaniel smirked.

Reuben immediately began glaring at him. He raised his hand to punch Nathaniel caught it.

“It’s really unethical to beat up your son in law,, don’t you think?” Nathaniel said.

“Don’t worry,, like I said earlier I’ll take care of your daughter.. More than you’ve ever done” Nathaniel said.

“Never!! This marriage is null!! You’re never getting married to daughter!!” Reuben shouted and made to grab Arianna’s arm but Arianna shifted away.

“I told you earlier,, that the moment I walk in this hall.. You’re not longer my father” Arianna said with a cold look on her face.

“Since my fiancé doesn’t want you anymore, I think it’ll be right if she comes and lives with me right??” Nathaniel said and turned to Arianna.

“What do you think?”

“Take me away hubby” Arianna replied.

Reuben stared at them with wide eyes and for the first time, he felt speechless.. Totally speechless!!

“Have a nice day father” Nathaniel said and took Arianna away.

Reuben immediately fell on the chair, his eyes looking like it would pop out any moment from now..

Robert stared at Nathaniel as he left with Arianna. On his way out, he bumped fists with Michael before leaving.

“Don’t tell me it’s what I’m thinking” Noelle thought and folded her fists tight.

“Mom,, dad.. I know you’re lost,, don’t worry. I have all the night to explain it to you” Michael smiled, walking to them.

JODY’S PLACE**

Nathaniel stopped his car in front of his mother’s house before he turned to Arianna who was silent all through.

She was busy staring at the ring on her finger with an indecipherable look on her face

“Baby,, I’m sorry” Nathaniel spoke.

Arianna suddenly bursted out in fits of tears..

“Baby..”

She began hitting Nathaniel’s shoulder while crying..

“Why didn’t you tell me you were pretending to be Michael all along!! Today I thought my life would be ruined forever,,, I thought everything about us will become history.. All along you were beside me but I didn’t know” Arianna cried, still hitting him though he felt no pains.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t want to ruin the plan… I had to pretend to be him if I wanted it to succeed” Nathaniel said.

Arianna left her seat and straddled Nathaniel, hugging tightly.

“I missed you” She said.

Nathaniel smiled and hugged her back, she was just like a baby in his arms.

“Me too baby” He replied.

They broke the hug and he cleaned her tears before kissing her forehead.

“About the engagement.. Aren’t you mad?” He asked.

“Why should I be?”

“We’re engaged now,,, you’re kinda bonded to me.. I don’t want-”

“Oh please! Not like I wanted to be with another guy.. If there’s anybody I’ll want to be with forever then it’s you” Arianna said.

Nathaniel smiled and touched her hair before he claimed her lips. Arianna pulled him closer as he deepened the kiss.

They were still at it when they heard some knock on the glass window. The quickly broke the kiss to see it was Jody.

Nathaniel winded down the window.

“I came outside to throw something in the bin when I saw two familiar silhouette kissing.. I’ve been standing here for 3 minutes if you don’t know.. Now will you two come in or not” Jody said..

Arianna blushed and shyly got down Nathaniel. He opened the door and they both got down and went in the house.

“I’m sure you guys are sleeping over.. Don’t worry,, this house has a lot of spare rooms” Jody said, walking in.

She also went to the fan meeting with the boys since she was their manager and strangely Nathaniel wasn’t having this hairstyle nor dress. She just shook it off.

“Mom,, Arianna has some issues with her dad and I can’t take her to live with me and the boys since it’s against the rules.. Can she stay here with you for the meanwhile?” Nathaniel asked.

“What happened?” Jody asked.

“I’ll explain everything to you later mom” Nathaniel said, not knowing how Jody will take it if she learns they’re now engaged.

“Well okay, you’re free to stay here with me Anna.. I’m sometimes lonely here so having some company won’t hurt.. Let me go and prepare two rooms for you guys”

“But why not one?” Arianna asked and Jody raised a brow.

“You two aren’t sleeping in the same room,, not under my watch.. I’m not ready to become a grandma when my son hasn’t yet finished highschool, talkless of college” Jody said while leaving

Nathaniel and Arianna laughed.

“I’ll call my mom to ask her how she’s doing” Arianna said, bringing out her phone..
