Tears couldn’t stop falling from Michael’s eyes when Nathaniel finished telling him everything that Natalia told him.

“Mom.. She,,she really did that. My suspicion were right then.. She-” Michael bent down his face as tears kept falling from his eyes.

Nathaniel held his hand.

“I’m sorry,, guess she didn’t love me” Nathaniel said sadly.

“Though I took her as my real mother, but she has to pay for what she did. She almost kílled you! And she wasn’t even remorseful!!” Michael said loudly in anger.

“I know.. But we have to find the reason why she tried to kíll me” Nathaniel said.

“Says the dude who literally fainted for two minutes when I opened the door” Nathaniel said sarcastically and they laughed.

“How’s Arianna” Nathaniel asked

Michael sighed.

“As expected she’s not fine at all. She skips classes and always keep this arrogant look on her face, I think she’s slowly turning back to her old self” Michael said.

“I knew it..” Nathaniel sighed.

“But the person you should worry more about is your mother,, I mean our mother.. Dàmn this sh*t is confusing” Michael pinched his brows.

“What about her?”

“Well, she refuses to see anyone. For a full week she has been in her house. I once went to see her but she didn’t open,, I fear she might harm herself at this rate” Michael said.

Nathaniel immediately stood.

“I need to see her” Nathaniel immediately stood.

“Calm down bro,, you’re still healing. Look at all the bandages on your body. Besides, the whole world thinks you’re déad.. Let’s not spoil the plan” Michael said.

“I’ll check up on her if that’ll assure you” Michael said.

Nathaniel sighed and sat back down.

“So you said Rose’s sister was the one who almost kílled you but she ended up saving you” Michael asked and Nathaniel nodded.

“I think Rose is really feeling guilty about it.. Please don’t hàte her, it’s not her fault besides if all this didn’t happen, we wouldn’t have find out who Noelle was” Nathaniel said.

“Can I see her?”

“Sure,, there’s her room.” Nathaniel pointed at a door.

Michael stood and left for the door. Nathaniel laid down on the couch and held his necklace then kissed it.

“Baby..”

Michael knocked on the door but got no reply. He knocked again still no reply..

“Rose?” He called, opening the door.

That’s when he saw her laying on the floor. Panicked, he rushed to her and relief washed through him when he realized she was just sleeping.

Traces of tears could still be seen on her cheek.

“Was she crying?” Michael thought

He carried her in a bridal style before laying her on the bed before covering her body with the sheet.

He smiled as he patted her hair

“Thanks for saving my brother.. I love you” He muttered and kissed her lips before standing.

He looked at her one last time before leaving her room.

MORNING, THE BRAUNS MANSION**

Arianna woke up to a bright morning but to her there was nothing bright about the morning. She got down the bed and went straight to her bathroom.

If not for the fact that they’ll be writing their final exam in four weeks (one month) from now then she wouldn’t even bother to go to school.

She finished brushing before she went under the shower and took a quick bath before exiting the bathroom.

“Meow!!” Twinkle walked to her and began brushing it’s fur on her leg.

She smiled dryly before carrying it, placing it on the bed.

“Where’s Candy?” She asked as she brought out her school uniform to wear.

She finished dressing up before brushing her hair before turning to see Candy playing with Twinkle.

“I’ll be going to school guys.. Bye!!” She said and left her room.

She got to the dining room and met her parents chatting while eating.

“Anna, you’re awake” Reuben smiled.

“Good morning dad” Arianna smiled and she faced Beatrice.

“Mom, I’m sorry for shouting at you.. I didn’t mean to” She said.

Beatrice smiled.

“You seem to be in the good mood today” Beatrice said and Arianna nodded before sitting.

“Is it because I dreamt of Nathaniel this night? Must surely be it” She said before sitting down to eat.

Once she was through, she walked out and entered the car. Her driver immediately drove off for school.

The drive was still smooth when suddenly the car abruptly stopped.

“What’s happening?” Arianna looked up.

“I don’t know, I think something burst the tyres” The driver said.

The driver made to to open the door of his car but someone beats him to it.

“Hey who are-” The masked person hit his neck and be passed out.

“What’s happening..” Arianna began panicking when the same person opened the door to the passenger’s seat

“Come with me..” The voice said and Arianna immediately shifted away in fear.

She made to scream when the person blocked her mouth and before she could do anything else, she passed out.
