Celine became the center of attention the moment she came out of her car.
She began flaunting the engagement ring on her finger, and students began hailing her, calling her Richie’s wife already as she walked into the hallway.

“Whatever!” Ruby glared and left with Yuri.
Bernie left after giving Celine an expressionless glance.
Everyone started dispersing from the hallway, and Celine joined Mira and Hwasa immediately.
“Girls!” Check out my ring!” She waved it.
“Good for you” Mira said dryly and left.
“Is everything ok?” She blinked.
“Yeah, class” Hwasa replied.
“Where’s Lovelyn though?” Celine asked.
“Not in school” she replied and started leaving.
“Wait for me!” Celine ran after her.
“Did you hear? A new student will be joining our class next week, she’s another VIP” she said.
“Oh” Hwasa nodded.
“And we have another chemistry practical tommorow, I hate practicals” she whined.
“Sure” Hwasa replied dryly and entered the class before her.
“Is something up?” Celine wondered.

A PARK*
Lovelyn sat on one of the available benches, swaying her legs under it as she watched the kids playing at a distance.
She’s wearing her uniform though, and she has been here since she left home. Going to school is not part of the plan today.
The air was blowing her long hair so much, and it’s covering her face, but she’s not even trying to brush it away.
A kid suddenly ran up to her with a single red rose, and he handed it to her.
“Why?” She asked.
“Cos it’s pretty like you” the kid replied, and she smiled widely before stroking his hair.
“Thanks cutie”
The kid ran off immediately, and she placed the rose on her nose, sniffing it in.
It smells exactly like Richie, and that gave her butterflies immediately, but she quickly retracted it from her nose and placed it on the bench.
At a distance, Richie squatted when the kid got back to him, and he stroked his hair too.
“She smiled” he said
“Thanks for delivering it” Richie replied, giving him some money.
The kid left finally, and Richie stood.
He continued watching her from there like he has been doing since she arrived at the park.
Lovelyn stayed till 7pm, and her phone stayed off throughout.
It was already past 7 when she stood to go home.
She went to the bus station and got in her bus.
This time, Richie drove in his car, going after the bus till she came down at the entrance of her street.
He got down from his car too and started following her behind, but she detected immediately and looked back.
She saw him but pretended like she didn’t, so she continued going.
He walked faster till he caught up with her on the bridge, grabbing her arm.
Immediately the contact happened, she broke free and faced him swiftly.
“This won’t be like the last time i said it, cos I mean it right now. Let’s never meet again Richie Kim, and congratulations on your engagement” she said coldly, and Richie felt his blood drying up.

“My name is Lovelyn, and I’d like if you stay away from me from now on. I don’t belong in your category and I can never be” she cut him off and zipped her backpack, bringing out the rose from earlier.
“You sent this, right?” She said and dropped it emotionlessly. She marched it, shocking him to the marrow.

She interrupted by showing him her contacts phone screen. She searched for Richie, but his name isn’t there.
“I deleted your number, so do same, and happy married life in advance” she said.
“Lovelyn!” He said loudly, feeling devastated and shattered already.
Those words coming from her felt like thorns, pricking his heart, body and soul, but then she dropped the biggest bomb.
“I regret falling for you, Richie Kim” she said effortlessly and turned her back on him, walking away in a slow mo.
Richie wanted to follow her, but he stopped after two steps, and hot tears came out of his two eyes instead, rolling down his cheeks as he watched her leave.

Mr. Kim was sitting regally in his study when his P.A came in, and he took off his glasses when he handed him an envelope.
He took it and poured the contents on the desk.
They’re pictures of Lovelyn and Richie on the bridge from some minutes ago, how Richie was crying when she left. Over twenty pictures.
“She finally knew her place, I guess Richie will come back to his senses now too” Mr. Kim smiled.
From the door, Ruby was watching, and she smiled when she had a peek at the pictures.
She went upstairs to her room and started jumping happily on her bed, her hair flowing with her.
“Jessica, gone! Lovelyn, gone! Celine will be gone soon!” She jubilated and got her phone.
She went to her gallery and clicked on Richie’s picture.
She kissed his lips deeply on screen and opened her drawer, bringing out the vibrator pack.
“It’s time to use this!” She gushed excitedly and kissed Richie’s mouth in the picture again.
