ALPHAS MANSION, 5AM*

Jordan couldn’t sleep … He has been restless since Sasha’s display at the Castle yesterday.

He’s sitting at the balcony, smoking weed.

He had been here since last night, unable to close his eyes.

He couldn’t help but think about the past…

The story he shares with Sasha and Killian when they were 11.

FLASHBACK, YEARS AGO*

The overlord’s castle is just like it has always been, but the only difference is that it’s more filled.

There are so many trainers and torturers working for Malachi apart from guards.

The four boys finished their daily trainings just now, and they left the ground for the castle.

“I can’t wait for the trainings to be over when we turn 12 next year, damn the cruel trainers” Hardin complained. He’s the only one not wearing a shirt.

“They’re only following father’s orders” Jordan replied.

“Can we just go for dinner already?” Zade groaned.

“Boys!!” A young female voice interrupted, and they all turned to see Sasha rushing towards them.

Sasha’s mother is a friend to Aurora, and she comes here often with her mother.

Also, she’s Jordan’s girlfriend. They started dating when they turned ten early this year.

Her mother is currently out of the country, but the fact that Sasha is dating Jordan made her leave her in Italy, so Sasha visits the castle everyday.

“Hey!” Jordan beamed, hugging her tightly.

Zade and Hardin left immediately.

Strangely, none of the boys like her. Only Jordan.

“I missed you!” Jordan said.

“Don’t be silly! I came here yesterday!” She smiled as they broke the hug.

“I saw Hardin and Zade here earlier, where’s Killian?” She asked.

“You know how he is. He must be training alone somewhere” Jordan replied, and Sasha nodded.

He took her to his room, and she stayed in the bedroom while he entered the bathroom for his bath.

She waited a minute before tiptoeing out of the room to Killian’s room.

She slipped in and heard the sound of running water in the bathroom.

She went to the bathroom door and peeped in to see Killian under the shower, taking his bath.

She entered the bathroom and was about to hug him from behind when he sensitively turned, grabbing her throat.

“It’s… it’s .. me” she choked, and he quickly let her go, wrapping a towel on himself, the bullet necklace on his chest dangling.

“What are you doing in my bathroom!”

“I love you” she confessed.

“Garbage! Aren’t you Jordan’s girl?” He glared dangerously.

“No you’re wrong! You’re the one I love. My mother would have taken me out of the country if I didn’t pretend to like Jordan. I had to stay somehow and keep seeing your face” she replied.

“You’ve been toying with Jordan?” Killian’s face turned furious.

“I just, I… I love you ok? I…

“You do?” Jordan’s voice came behind them as he came in.

Sasha froze.

Jordan rushed out of the bathroom, fighting back his tears.

“Master, His lordship wants you st the Den” a guard reported to him, and he quickly rushed there with an heavy heart.

Immediately he entered, Malachi’s face turned sour.

“I said Killian! I called for Killian! Not you!” He shouted.

Jordan rushed out of the Den, going back to the training ground to kneel in tears.

“Why always Killian!!!”

BACK TO PRESENT*

Jordan expelled smokes from his nostrils, remembering what Killian told him at the castle.

NEXT TIME YOU PLAY ROMEO, I’LL FÚCKING KILL YOU.

He left the balcony, going down the stairs just when Killian came in.

“Where’s Hardin and Zade?” Killian asked, but he just walked past him and went out.

Killian went upstairs, pretending not to see what just happened.

ROYAL PRIDE HIGH, 9AM*

Zinnia entered the technical room and met Viktor waiting with a big smile already.

“Make it quick we have a class in ten minutes” she said.

“I’m hurt, you won’t even spend time with me” he pouted, and Zinnia sighed, thinking about what Killian is gonna do if he sees her with him after all his warnings.

“Ok I’ll go straight to the point. You’re close with the boys, right? Can you get me a sketch of their mansion exterior?” He asked.

“Why?”

“I’m just curious… You can’t?” He blinked.

“I mean… I’ve only been there once and I didn’t even look at the exterior” she replied.

“Then you can just visit the mansion again, and keep it a secret, bye!” He winked obviously before leaving the room

Zinnia left the room too, thinking of why he’d ask something as trivial as the mansion exterior sketch.

She was expecting something huge.

Anyways, it’s her luck.

She checked her phone for Killian’s text, and her smile disappeared when she saw he sent one.

Psychopath 001: Seems all my warnings have been falling out. What did I say about Viktor?

Her eyes widened…he knows?

Oh … She forgot for a moment that he rules this school, he has eyes everywhere.

She texted back immediately.

Zinnia: We only talked, nothing more. Stop being like this when you’re not even telling me what I mean to you.

She hesitated before sending that.

She really doesn’t want to have another fight with him after their sweet moment last night, but he can’t keep having the upper hand.

She left that angle, and Sasha came to view afterwards.

She actually heard her chat with Viktor earlier.

She smiled satanically and jumped.

“Yes! I don’t even have to work hard, Viktor is like a godsend… I know he has plans for the sketch and I can’t wait for that pest to fall into the trap!”

She was jumping as she left that angle.

LUNCHTIME, CAFETERIA*

It’s a busy Monday, and students look tired as they settled for lunch.

Karen has been avoiding touches from everyone cos her face might look ok, but there are bruises under her clothes from the bashing she received.

She’s hoping that Jordan won’t even cross paths with her today cos she’s still trying to get a new copy of the book.

She’s eating with her friends already, all except Zinnia.

“Where’s Zee?” Sunny asked.

“She has been looking at her phone like she’s expecting something, dunno” Britney replied.

“Weird” Priyanka muttered, drinking her soup.

Girl gasps and squeals filled the cafeteria suddenly when the boys came in, but Jordan isn’t with them though.

“Britney you’re bringing them to your birthday party this week, right?” Sunny asked.

“We’ll see” Britney shrugged, snapping her food for her IG feed.

The boys settled on their table, and then Zinnia came in looking unsettled.

Killian didn’t reply her last message.

He left her on read, and she sent two others too.

Zinnia: Seriously? Are you gonna ghost again?

Zinnia: Yunno what? I hate you!

He also didn’t reply those ones.

She stayed by the door with her phone in hand, and when she saw Killian with Hardin and Zade, she bit her lip torturously.

He’ll always be an arsehole no matter what.

She was about to move when Jordan appeared behind her.

“Wanna make him jealous?” He said, and she faced him.

“What do you mean?”

“This” Jordan replied and hung his arm on her neck, making everyone gasp.

Karen’s spoon fell from her, and Sasha smirked.

“What’s going on?” Honoria and Ludo said at a time.

“What’s up with him? He has been acting out since daybreak” Zade said.

“Did the weather affect his thinking?” Hardin said.

Killian looked up, and when his eyes met Jordan’s arm on Zinnia’s shoulder, he stayed indifferent, but his eyes didn’t remain the same.

A streak of red appeared below his eyeballs, and Zinnia gulped nervously.

“Let’s go get lunch” she said.

“Sure” Jordan replied, still holding her shoulder as they started walking to the stands.

Killian wiped his lips with a napkin and stood.

Everywhere tensed as he began walking to them with calm calculated steps.

“He’s insanely jealous right now” Jordan muttered.

“How did you know?” Zinnia wispered back.

“The streak of red below his eyeballs. He can hide anything else but not that” Jordan replied, and Zinnia gasped when he removed his hand from her shoulder only to hold her waist with it.

“Jordan… No” Was the last thing she said before Killian got to them and slammed his fist madly into Jordan’s face.
