Echo swallowed past the lump in her throat and summed up courage to speak.

She had her head bowed down the whole time. She didn’t have the courage to look them in the eyes, not after ruining their important gathering.

“I didn’t mean to offend you ma’am. I only came here because he left his textbook behind. I was only trying to be nice, but i guess i shouldn’t have. Am sorry about the vase, i’m off now” Echo bit her bottom lip and made to leave, but francisco grabbed her wrist tightly and pulled her to himself.

Mrs. Hernadez shifted in her seat angríly, while capricorn tried her very best to keep calm. She was about loosing it completely.

They saw her lips quiver before she spoke…

“No.. Please don’t touch me. I’ve done more than enough, i don’t belong here” Echo begged, her face red and blotchy, her eyes bloodshot and her eyelids puffy. She swiped at her eyes but the tears came anyway.

“You don’t know a thing about how i feel okay. Am not even mad at you…am mad at myself for expecting that much from you. What was i even thinking?? You rich folks can never be fair with the poor. Am sorry for coming into your life without your permission, it all ends here and now” Echo tried to restrain the tears prickling her eyes, but it was becoming next to impossible to contain them.

The pain she felt in her heart hounded her, all she wanted was to be loved back. Was that too much to ask?.

She took in deep breath, trying to control her emotions, to compose herself, but she failed tremendously. She felt her throat close up, as tears streamed down her face.

Francisco flickered his gaze to her. Somehow his heart wanted to console her, his hands wanted to wipe away those tears running down her smooth bright skin.

She was a total “nobody“ to him, but her tears were shaking him to the core. The moment he saw her wiping her tears with the back of her palm, he felt a lump in his throat.

‘Why is she affecting me so much?’ He wondered as his gaze was fixed on her face.

In the dim light of day, he could see that, despite the transfusion, her skin was shinier than ever, and the smudges beneath her pale brows, made her eyes appear too recede.

“Am sorry once again ma’am. I’ll never show my face here again” Echo bowed and ran out of there immediately. Tyler bowed too and ran after her.

“I haté you guys! Why do you always have to control my life?? Whether you like it or not, you’ll have to watch me leave here forever, cause am not getting married to a bitçh you’re trying to offer to me. I don’t love her, i don’t want to love her and i’ll never love her” Francisco yelled and ran his hands in his hair, fuming heavily. He didn’t wait to listen to what they had to say, before storming out of there.

“Mother-in-law…” Capricorn trailed off as tears were already streaming down her face. Mrs.Hernandez rubbed her shoulders gently and smiled.

….AN HOUR LATER: GAINESVILLE’S MANSION

“I’ll be there in a bit sweetie, my make up is all messed up. I’ve got to add some touches!” Capricorn poked her head through the exposed holes in between the stairs, a man, was sitting on the sofa, flipping through a copy of Newspaper, as usual.

Capricorn rolled her eyes and slipped her phone into her handbag. She descended the stairs slugglishly, her high-heeled shoes making awareness of her presence.

“Where are you going to young lady??. Do you even know what the time says?? It’s late” The man questioned, not tearing his gaze off the newspaper. Capricorn rolled her eyes up to the right and made herself comfy on one of the couches.

She jammed her left hand into her purse, and brought out her emergency make~up kit.

Capricorn applied a bit of brown powder on her face, and a red colored lip gloss that matched her versace gown. When she was done, she stood up, and made to leave.

“You’ll be going no where until my question is answered!” The man waved her car keys across his face, she frowned, then proceeded to speak.

“Can you explain to me the meaning of what happened back at francisco’s??. Mum suddenly had a mood swing when that pest showed up, and you also had a weird look on your face too” Capricorn waited impatiently for an answer, like who the fúck was she to try to rob her off her own father’s attention?.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. You must have gotten the wrong idea dear. Be back before twelve, i don’t want your mother to get worried” He flung the keys towards her and she caught it in time.

…NIGHT: ECHO’S BEDROOM

It was extremely windy, the sky a darker shade of black. The curtains danced in rythm of the wind, as the tin roof made weird creaking sounds.

Echo placed a duvet over her head as she thought about how terrible her day was. She wasn’t feeling sleepy.

Her windows suddenly creaked open, and she felt the hair rising on the back of her neck. Maybe it was the wind…

She wasn’t so sure, but there was only one way her question could be answered. Ohh! no, she was too freightned to do it.

It closed shut once again. She thought whoever it was must have left, she shifted on the bed and peeked through the sheets.

Her heart almost left her chest when she saw someone standing in the dark room, watching her closely. She couldn’t see his face, nor recognize his scent, but it was clear he was dressed in all black.

She took the risk and rose to her feet, trying to reach for the switch. He ran after her and stopped her in time, placing his hands on the switch.

Echo gulped hard at nothing. Her heart was palpitating, she couldn’t think straight.

“Let me go else i’ll shout!” Echo said in a shaky voice, she was fuckiñg scared. The guy scoffed and his gaze made its way down to her lips, it was just so inviting.

“If you shout, i’ll kiss you to shut up!” He smirked, pinching his brows. Echo took a few steps back and unluckily for her, she hit her back on the wall.

He caged her on the wall, a hand on her waist.

“Somebody help…” She almost yelled, but he placed a hand on her lips, preventing her from yelling.

Echo’s heart beat faster, and faster, as he inched closer and his face came up to hers. As his lips touched hers, she blossomed like a flower.

“Or maybe she has never been nice to anyone before. She doesn’t look like a person that’ll love to make friends with people” Milo chipped in, smirking handsomely.

Noa turned milo to his backside, and slapped his @ss in an erotic manner.

Get out of my way before i explain to you the difference between one and two” Kirana balled her hands into a fist and glared at the both of them. Milo paved way for her to pass immediately and she walked away without even focusing on were she was going to.

“Ahhh!!” Kirana shrieked, as she stepped on someone’s foot. She lost her balance and stumbled on someone.
