“Jo… Please” Robert whispered.

Jody stood still in his hands as she shook in fear with tears slipping out of her eyes.

“She’ll kíll me… You need to stay sway from me” Jody said while crying.

“Who will kíll you,, I don’t get it” Robert said and turned her to him then held her shoulder.

“Nathaniel,, he’s my son.. Right??” Robert asked and Jody looked down.

He raised her head up and cleaned her tears before hugging her. Jody raised her hand to hug him back but when she remembered he was married, she instead broke the hug.

“Why did you leave me?” Robert asked slowly..

“I didn’t… She said she’ll kill my son if I didn’t” Jody said, cleaning her tears

“Noelle.” Jody muttered and Robert furrowed his brows

FLASHBACK, AUTHOR'S POV**

25 years back, 17 years Jody Andrews, half American half Korean lived in Korea with her mother. They fell in the poor category so they were just struggling to survive.

Jody one day found a job in a mansion as a maid and that's how her path crossed with Robert who was none other that only child of that family.

She caught Robert's attention at first sight since she was really pretty and had that innocent aura emanating from her.

Slowly they got acquainted to each and Jody found herself helplessly falling for him but she wouldn't dare tell him since he was rich and every girl's dream.

Beside a love like theirs will never be possible. So she decided to love him from afar and they kept being friends till Robert had to travel to California for college.

Jody was sad but what could she do..

4 years later, Jody's mother died leaving her all alone in this world so her job as a maid in the Patterson's house was the only job and home she had.

The next year, Robert came back. She was so happy to see him but to her greatest dismay, he was engaged to a very beautiful lady.. Noelle.

Jody felt happy for her friend (Robert). If he's happy with Noelle then she'll be happy for him too. Robert was happy to also see Jody but someone wasn't

Robert took her in and she began living with them.

Each time Robert will want them to go on a date as married couple, she always has a photoshoot or interview to attend and that really saddened Robert.

As the months passed, he began getting closed to Jody. She would be the one to cook his breakfast, sometimes when he's free, they'll chat and laugh together and sometimes when he has a high fever she was the one to take care of him

Since the heart can't be controlled, he began falling for her. He tried controlling it but was in vain..

Noelle who noticed them getting close began feeling insecure and jealous.

During Jody's 7th month of pregnancy, when Robert just couldn't keep it anymore.. He kissed her and confessed his feeling for her.

Jody felt so happy but a part of her knew it was wrong. He was married and she didn't want to be the reason why their marriage will fail. She explained her point to him.

Noelle who eavesdropped on them felt so enraged and decided to end everything. At several attempt she tried harming Jody's baby but those attempts failed

Stubborn Robert instead got closer to Jody. Occasionally, he'll rub Jody's tummy speaking to the baby.

Since all the attempts failed, Noelle decided to end things herself. One faithful day, she pushed Jody off the the stairs and she rolled down, hurting herself.

She immediately left the scene, unknown to her that Jody saw her. A maid saw Jody laying on her own pool of blood alarmed Noelle.

Noelle with her fake concern took Jody to the hospital. Jody regained her consciousness there but her vagina was bleeding, coming with that excruciating pain

She had to give birth to the baby prematurely

And like that she lost her virginity to give birth. With all her force, she gave birth to a cute baby boy.

Her joy knew no bound when she held her baby boy in her hand but the joy was short lived when Noelle walked in.

And like that she left with baby who kept crying loudly as if it sensed he was being taken away from her mother.

All what Jody could do was cry. She felt too weak to stand nor move.

She was still crying when a sharp pain hit her again and the doctor rushed to her, discovering that another baby was coming

Using her last strength, she gave birth to another baby boy who was the carbon copy of the one Noelle took from her.

With tears in her eyes, she named him Nathaniel. The next day, she got discharged and with the help of her father who lives in California she left Korea.

If staying away from Robert will mean her first son will be safe then she'll do it with everything she's got.

And like that, Robert and Noelle never heard of Jody again..

Robert stared at Jody with wide eyes as she concluded narrating what happened..

His hand slowly fell from her shoulder.

“So I was right.. You never left,, and Nathaniel.. He’s,, he’s my son” Robert said.

“And that means Michael is my son” Jody said, shedding tears of joy..

“So Noelle lied to me.. She told me that,, that you gave birth and handed her the baby before eloping with your lover.. I wanted to believe it but something in me just kept telling me not to” Robert said.

“Elope with my lover? The only man I’ve ever loved in my whole life is you” Jody cried.

Robert’s eyes widened.. So she loves her back, she loves him just the same way he does.

Since 19 years ago, when she left him he never stopped loving her. He tried to make things work between him and Noelle but it wasn’t.

Till date, all she (Noelle) thinks of was of money. She was even ready to go to the length of striking an arranged marriage with Reuben because of money..

If he knew that the marriage was a forced one, he could have canceled it right away but she lied to him that Arianna approved.

“Y.. You still love me?” He stuttered

Jody cleaned her tears and looked away..

“That’s not important… All what I want right now is to see my son” Jody said
