Eva was seen walking as she peeped to make sure if anyone was looking at her. She looked front again as she walked.

Jayden’s change was still something she couldn’t comprehend. Jayden who normally isn’t that friendly with girls had girls swoon around him during gym class.

Well it wasn’t something surprising. His new looks was definitely a killer and she also heard rumors about him once being a player till he changed when he debuted so she wanted to make sure if those rumors were actually true.

“Wait, why am I even following him? It’s his life if he decides to go back to his former style.” Eva muttered and sighed out

“Since when has it gotten to this. Eva, the leader of a girl band spying over someone. Jeez,” Eva pinched her brows

“Wait, where did he go?” She wondered as she looked around, taking a step back when her back suddenly hit something

She turned around and she could swear her heart almost flew out of her chest when she saw Jayden standing there with his hands in his pocket.

“J-J-Jay-”

“I’ve noticed you were stalking me the whole day.” Jayden cocked his head to the side

Eva looked around with wide eyes as she stammered.

“Me? N-no! I was just- you know, trying to-to umm,” She took in her lower lips, looking around.

When she didn’t know what to say, she took to her heels and made to run away but Jayden swiftly grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.

A gasp escaped her lips when she landed into his arms. Her heart began beating erratically.

The corner of his lips raised up. “You like me,” He said and Eva’s eyes widened.

“What! Wild of you to assume that.” Eva scoffed.

“I can literally hear your heart palpitations.” Jayden said and Eva’s face immediately flushed in embarrassment.

“It just means I have a healthy heart.” Eva scoffed and immediately walked away, more like running

Jayden looked at her go with an amused look on his face.

“Mr. President, your son is here to see you.” His right man informed him.

Thomas looked up from the book he was reading with his spectacles resting of his nose. “Let him in.”

Few minutes later, Kingsley walked in the study room.

“Good afternoon, dad.” He greeted.

“What do you want?” Thomas said, from his tone one could know he wasn’t happy with Kingsley.

“I was passing by so I decided to stop and know how you’re doing.” Kingsley said.

“How do you expect me to be doing? After you embarrassed me in front of everyone!” Thomas raised his tone

Kingsley’s face remained passive.

“I told you countless time that I won’t marry Maggie. You caused it upon yourself,” Kingsley said

“And it’s because of that you had to fall for a commoner!” Thomas yelled.

“What is wrong with falling in love with someone of a different social class. Mom was a nanny when you met her, unless you want to tell me you never loved her.” Kingsley said

“Don’t get me wrong, I loved your mother. More than I’ll ever love another”

“Then why did you have to sully her memories by marrying my ex. My ex for fuck sake!” Kingsley snapped. Thomas looked away.

Kingsley took in a deep breath. “I came to know if you’re fine and from what I’m seeing you are doing well. Have a nice day.” Kingsley said and without another word, he began walking away.

Thomas gripped his chest tightly. Lately he has been experiencing some chest pain but this one was really prominent.

He let out a short cough but the pain kept increasing.

“Argh!” He groaned, holding his chest tightly as he coughed. To his greatest shock, he coughed out blood.

Kingsley turned around when he heard someone groan and his eyes widened when he saw his father in so much pain.

“Argh!” Thomas went down to his knees and in the next minute he blacked out.

Kingsley’s eyes widened. “Dad!!”

Avery walked out of a cybercafé. She went there to record something which she sent to someone already

Her heart was thumping fast each time she remembered what happened earlier. She had threatened Jade out of anger.

Deep down, she knew that nowhere was safe for her right now. Going back home will only put her mother to danger and she can’t go to Sylvia’s place. That will be the next place Jade will look for her.

The only person she had in mind was Kingsley. She dialed his number as she walked but it was unreachable, she kept dialing it but still nothing.

Her heart began beating even faster as she walked down the dark and awfully silent road.

Suddenly a blindly light shun on her face making her temporarily blind. As her gaze became accustomed to the light, her eyes widened when she saw someone inside the car pointing a gun at her

Before she could make a move, the person pulled the trigger and the bullet flew uninterruptedly to her chest.

Her eyes widened as another bullet pierced the other side of her chest. She immediately dropped down to the floor.

The car drove off like nothing happened. Seconds became minutes and minutes became an hour till a car was seen passing through the road.

The car stopped when they saw a strange thing laying in the middle of the road. An elderly couple stepped down the car and their eyes widened when they saw it was a body with two bloody holes on the chest.

“Call the cops.” The man told his wife who immediately dialed it.

The man crouched down and checked Avery’s pulse.

“She’s dead.”
