It’s been over thirty minutes since the talent show started, right now they were two girls and a guy doing some breakdance in the stage that had students clapping.
In the backstage, some other participants like Lucky, Edward, Gwen and Naomi, yes Naomi.
“I’m surprised that you’re here, you didn’t tell us that you were going to perform” Lucky moved towards Naomi who was standing and streching her arms.
“I didn’t know I would do something too” Naomi replied and looked at Gwen who was sitting and streching her neck to the left and to the right.
“I’m so glad you finally came out to do something public, I hope you have fun” Lucky said with a smile.
“Hmm” Naomi nodded and Lucky went back to Edward.

The sound from the speaker echoed through the back stage.
“We are next, let’s go” Lucky tapped Edward and he stood up.
Some crews helped in carrying their chair, table and food which they’ll need for the show.
“Breath in, we’ll be facing the crowd in 3 seconds” Lucky whispered to Edward and nodding then took in a deep breath.
In 3 seconds later, the red curtain opened making Edward and Lucky to come to view.
“Hello everyone, my name is Lucky and his name is Edward, we are partners today I will be showing you how Edward here will eat all these homemade food by me in just ten minutes” she pointed the food that was in front of Edward.
ποΈOkay so she said Edward will eat all these under 10 minutes and timing starts now!
The moment the host spoke up, the timing started and Edward began eating as fast as he could.
Seeing that he was almost done going to ten minutes people began cheering for him except from Jace who has been rolling his eyes right from when the show started.
Then in ten minutes, Edward was done eating as promised.

Students were clapping, Lucky smiled and waved happily then the red curtain dropped and covered.
“Good job Edward” Lucky raised her hands for a high-five but Edward stood up and ran past her.
“Where are you going?” She shouted.
“To use the toilet, too much food.. can’t take it” his voice has already faded off as soon as he left.

“Hey” someone called Gwen and she turned back to see Naomi standing behind her.
She first looked back then left and right before slowly standing up.
“Naomi” she said in a low voice.
“I’m the next to participate, mind if you accompany me to the stage? I have stage fright” Naomi said.
Gwen smiled thinking Naomi was already coming around not knowing there was an interior motive.
“Sure, I’ll accompany you, I’m glad you’re finally warming up again” she said and Naomi just smiled.

Gwen looked at Naomi and Naomi nodded before the both of them went to the stage.
The red curtain came up and their faces came to view.
“That’s Gwen and Naomi, I’m not seeing double right?” Erica asked no one in particular.
“No you’re not” someone replied and she turned to see Xavier sitting beside her.
He even winked at her but she rolled her eyes in return.
Dominic was watching from behind before Lucky quietly came in. She sat beside Erica from the other side to watch.
Naomi collected the mic from the mc and faced the crowd with a little nervous look on her face.
“Hello everyone my name is Naomi Moore, I’m not here to sing or do anything, I’m here to give a speech and it’s about my best friend” she said and looked at Gwen before facing the crowds again.
“I was five years old when I got into trouble with some older kids, I was getting beaten up by starting a fight with them but she came and helped me and unfortunately we both got beaten up, it was really bad we were seriously bleeding but she cared about me more than herself and kept asking me if I was okay” Naomi smiled and she remembered.
Gwen chuckled and wiped her tears, the hall was silent and people were listening seriously especially Dominic.
“Since then we became inseparable and unstoppable together, we did everything today and even grew up together, I trusted her so much and always share everything I feel with her likewise her” Naomi said and wiped the tears that fell from her eyes.
“Is Naomi okay? I thought she was angry with Gwen?” Lucky whispered and Erica hit her to shut up.
Someone tapped Lucky’s back and she turned back to see Jace, he passed a letter to her and smiled.
She opened it.
It says: I’ll be in front of the girls hostel this evening, I have something to tell you.
She turned back to look at him and he just smiled, she smiled too and faced her front.
Naomi breathed and continued.
“We’ve always wanted to go to a big school, I was a dullard but she helped me a lot when we were reading for the scholarship program and we actually passed and got admitted to this school. So here’s the intresting part” she smiled and cleaned the tears that came out of her eyes.
“I had some sort of a love at first sight on this guy and I told her about it” when Naomi said this Gwen face changed.
She became a bit alert even Dominic sat straight to listen more attentively.
“I was always open about my feelings to her I should have known when she got his number from no where and gave it to me, we were close friends and I was planning to finally tell him how I felt, even my best friend was aware but guess what she did?” Naomi turned to look at Gwen.
It’s now Gwen could see the look of hate, sadness and rage covered with tears that filled Naomi’s eyes.
She shook her head hurtfully.
“Don’t do this publicly Naomi, we can have a private talk somewhere, you can shout on me and hit me and curse me, just vent out on me but not here” Gwen said softly trying to convince Naomi.
More tears fell from Naomi’s eyes and she faced the crowd again.
“My best friend here Gwen has been chasing after him behind my back! She was watching me make a fool out of myself and even conspired with him to use me, she loved to see that he was actually using me to get close to her!” Naomi said out loud.
“Naomi!” Gwen yelled with a hurtful look.

“What? You kissed him on the day you know I wanted to confess to him, I saw it all Gwen! I was there!! Why did you do it? Why must it be you? You don’t actually know that what you did hurt more than knowing I was used by him because I relied on you more than my own parents!!” Naomi yelled out in tears.
Dominic let out a small breath before standing up and excusing himself from the hall.
“I know I shouldn’t have done what I did and I know I was wrong for choosing anyone but him, if you’ll give me a chance and let me explain then you’ll finally understand me but are you giving any chance at all!?” Gwen yelled hurtfully at her.
Naomi dropped the mic on the floor and burst out into tears while Gwen ran off from the stage trying not to break down in public.
The red curtain slowly dropped down covering Naomi then people began clapping.

The host said and students began clapping. Erica stood up and left the hall, going to the backstage along with Lucky.
