SECOND HOSPITAL*

Master X is still crying, but not as before.

Kara is still held securely by uncle Reginald, and they’re both sniffling from time to time.

Chadwick is now standing with Conrad, Hyce and Rebekah who arrived not long ago

Nurse Layla is still on the ground, but her shakiness reduced already.

It’s been one long hour since the surgery started, but it felt like seven, and they’re losing patience.

Rebekah was about to barge in when the door finally opened, and the surgeons came out, five of them.

“How was it?” Chadwick and the rest asked at once.

“First off, we have nurse Layla to thank. If she didn’t perfom the surgery halfway through the ambulance journey, then it’d be a different story entirely right now” their head surgeon replied.

Nurse Layla quickly stood, inhaling in relief.

“So…” Kara said breathlessly.

“Head shots are life-threatening, and this is the first case of it we had in this hospital, but we tried our best, and the rest is left for him. He’s on a life support machine right now…”

“C…coma?” Hyce muttered shockingly.

Kara immediately broke into tears.

“No…no…not coma… please”

“If he holds up strongly, he’ll wake just fine” another surgeon said.

“For how many years will the coma shit last?” Conrad asked.

“I can’t say, depends on how strong his will is” the head surgeon replied.

“Can we…see him?” Uncle Reginald asked.

“If you’re family” nurse Layla quickly replied.

“I’m his uncle” Reginald quickly replied.

“And I’m like his mother” Kara said.

“He’s our brother” Rebekah added.

The surgeons left, and nurse Layla led them to a different room where they all wore blue gowns and gloves plus sterile caps.

Everyone was allowed inside except Master X.

Nurse Layla proceeded to leading them to the private ICU.

“No loud talks” she told them, and they promised her before she left.

Levi’s ward is surrounded by a glass wall, and though they can’t go in, they’re seeing him through the glass, looking powerless and lifeless.

Head bandaged, his monitor is beeping slowly, and his LS machine is right beside him through which several pipes were passed into his body, even his mouth.

Kara covered her mouth to muffle her tears, same with Rebekah.

“Emory ruined him, totally” Conrad whispered, his hatred for Emory climbing high.

“It’s my fault, I shouldn’t have called him” Chadwick whispered.

“He’ll be fine, I put my trust in Levi” Hyce whispered too.

“You’re thinking like me. He’ll wake” uncle Reginald smiled painfully.

“What if ..what if he never…wakes” Rebekah muttered fearfully.

“Don’t say that” Kara replied, rubbing the glass wall as if she can touch Levi through it.

“He’ll wake, I believe” she nodded.

An hour later, they all left the hospital, leaving master X at the door.

Rebekah and Conrad drove to the palace in silence, but during their drive, they already knew things would go bad.

People are protesting in the streets that the king of the island should be dethroned, and that’s not the only thing…

A video is trending.

It’s a video of what happened at the warehouse earlier, but other faces were blurred out.

Only the the faces of Rebekah, Conrad and Hyce are showing, how they were shooting down mercenaries and spilling blood.

“Fred planned this well…I must say. He has been planning this for years” Conrad said.

They got to the palace and it’s even worse cos it’s surrounded by people protesting for the dethronement.

Boldly, they both came out of the car, and they were almost eaten raw by the people.

Thanks to the palace guards who guarded them inside.

The kind and Elsa were already panicking inside.

“You achieved your dreams already Rebekah, didn’t you? I’ll be the first king in the history of Terraverde to be dethroned! Congratulations!” The king said in defeat.

Rebekah couldn’t talk.

“And you…’ Elsa faced Conrad.

“I was busy flaunting you that you don’t belong in any club, but you’re in it too? I don’t think I deserve this from you Conrad! You’re a killer too? How!!!!” She yelled.

For the first time in history, Conrad couldn’t talk back.

“Just how!!!” Elsa yelled again.

“I regret having you, Rebekah. I regret!” The king said disappointedly, and Rebekah rushed upstairs, into her room.

She flaunted herself on the ground, crying her eyes out.

Conrad came knocking on her door, but she doesn’t even have the strength to open up.

She just wants to cry.

MCCALL’S MANSION*

Several papers flew to Hyce’s face from General McCall, and tears came out of his eyes.

“I’m the police general of this island, and my son is in a frat club? He’s a killer? Do you know what the world is saying about me right now?” The man yelled.

Hyce cried more.

“We’re a family of law defenders, Hyce! Your brother is a barrister! He’ll be implicated. Your mother is the city general too, and she’s surely going down after this!” General McCall snapped.

Hyce stepped back, and the man raised up a letter.

“I’m going to submit my resignation letter right now, and I never want to see you again. Stay out of this family” he said, pushing past Hyce before leaving the house.

Hyce started crying again, his eyes stinging.

He has cried too much for a night, and nothing is more bitter than the salt he’s tasting right now.

He begrudgingly walked out of the house, and he met Isaac waiting outside with his mother who has been discharged.

Isaac quickly rushed to him, and merely seeing the tears in his eyes, he started crying too.

“I’m sorry about everything that happened to you” he said.

Hyce hugged him tight, crying on his shoulders while the woman just watched sadly.

TWO DAYS LATER*

It’s the burial of Sybil and fake Emory.

The bodies has been lowered into their holes, and the diggers are currently covering up with sand.

There are barely ten people present.

Only Chadwick and Nina came from school, and Nina’s eyes are so swollen.

She even forgot how to cry already.

Tate is sitting beside the grave, hugging Emory’s picture frame to her chest with a barely-alive look on her pasty face.

She looks dead, and Adrian is the one consoling her though he’s dying inside too.

“I hope Fred gets caught. If he wrecked this much havoc in one night, then he’s a walking time bomb. I can’t believe I lost Emz, too” she hiccupped, going on her knees right there.

“I can’t believe it”

Chadwick sighed beside her, thinking about Sybil.

To think he was starting to get attracted to her.

First was Lizzy, and now Sybil.

Is he cursed, too?

He blinked his red grief-stricken eyes, and then they heard sniffs behind them, making them turn back.

Rain is standing there, crying loudly.

They didn’t even try to talk to her cos her tears are much more.

“Sybil was my best friend! How dare she! How could she!!! Emz too? It was too fast what the hell is going on! The last I remember was Emz coming to pick her up at my place that night, and then I heard they’re both dead. How could it happen so fast!!!”

She went on her knees like Nina, crying harder.

Nina sighed, wiping her tears and hiccuping.

Chadwick left the grave that minute.

Rain faced the ground, and a evil smile secretly fell on her lips despite her tears.

Fred is currently wanted, and the cops are madly searching for him, but they’ll never find him since he flew out yesterday as Prof. Hayden.

She’ll go meet him with Omar and Romeo after their final exams.

Taking Sybil’s life made up for her late mother’s life already, and as for Emory…

Emory will suffer what she went through… Emory will cry.
Her family already buried her fake body anyways, so she’s dead to them.
Rain continued her fake tears, raising her volume.

The smell of blood filled her nose like dead meat, and then the coldness of the cemented floor hit her pores.
Emory didn’t understand at first, but then she moved slightly, and she began hearing noises.
Several noises as if she’s in a political campaign, or worse.
Her eyes peered open, but she met blurriness, so she blinked, opening it again.
This time, it’s better.
She’s lying on her back on the ground, and she saw two faces staring down at her.
One is a ash-eyed girl who’s obviously older than her, and the other is a black guy who looks her age.
“She’s awake” the girl said.
“Hey, newbie” the guy added, and Emory’s eyes opened wide.

She sat up, her head snapping and her eyes twitching.
Her heart pounded, and her eyes widened when she remembered what actually happened.
Levi got shot!
She didn’t trust him.
He got shot because of her…is he….dead?

She spranged up and dashed for the door, but instead of a door, she met a metal bar like a cell door, and her eyes widened again cos there are several others.
There are hundreds of cells like this one, facing each other in the long hallway, and there are several males and females inside, chatting and making serious noise.
They look shabby, unkept, and haggard.
What the hell is going on?
What did Fred and Rain do to her??
She turned back to her cellmates, not having the time to notice that her period blood already stained the gown she’s wearing.
“Where…am I?” She asked slowly, holding her breath.
“I’ll make is simple… You’re in Europe” the girl said.

“Wh.. what!” Emory gasped, feeling her world spinning.
“And this place is two sessions. The upper part is a psychiatric hospital where mad people are kept, and that’s what the outside world sees” the guy added.
Emory staggered weakly.
“But this place is the underground, and it’s an organ harvesting market. They kidnap us, bring us here, then sell us to organ hunters.” The girl said.
Emory fell on her butt.
“Welcome, newbie” the guy added.
Emory felt her menstrual blood rushing, staining her gown more.
The immense shock did a good job in pushing out more and more blood, and immediately she saw the blood, darkness enveloped her.
She fainted.
