Shawn held Joyline as the body of the young one was laid six feet under.She watched as tears rolled down her cheeks
That evening she was seated at the living room.Her sister Joy was around to make sure that she gets comforted.The husband was in the room with them,he had to be strong for the wife
After the supper,he led Joy to the guest room and left her to sleep before going back to the living room,locked the door, switched off the lights and walked into the bedroom with her wife.
The sombre mood in the house didn’t allow the couple to make love that night, Joyline was in tears but at least she had managed to calm down
A month later after everything had finally settled they resolved to try their luck for the second time.They wanted to get a child since they had already moved on from their last trauma
Joyline went up and down to try and get some advices.He went to the hospital to get an advice on how to take care of herself during gestation period,she even went to the parents to try and get their blessings before she started a new journey.She wanted to offload the burden inside her as she wasn’t willing to undergo the trauma that she had faced a month ago
One Sunday,as they were about to leave for church,she called her husband who was in the bedroom still dressing
“Yes honey,I am coming right away just finishing up” Shawn said as he wore his golden watch then walked out of the bedroom, downstairs to the dining table
It was a Sunday and as usual, during Sundays they would take their breakfast very early as they had to go to church early.Shawn checked his watch and realized that it was already 7:30
He poured the tea in the glass and sat sipping it,just then the wife came from the kitchen holding the glass full of tea and sat next to him
“Babe I think we should move with you forward today so that we can receive prayers specifically for our plans”
“No,you know me very well.I am not going infront of the church,if you are willing just go by yourself”
“But Babe please try to reason with me,Our situation may be because of some evil spirits”
“No!! listen to me woman,I am the man of the house” he shouted banging the table
“Okay babe,I am sorry if I have made you feel angered,I was just trying to make things right but its okay if you don’t want,we shall silently pray where we would be seated” she said then carried the glasses into the kitchen,walked into the room and came back holding the Bible
Shawn had already Left the house and was inside the car,he was waiting for Joyline to walk out of the house before they left.She came out some few minutes later,closed and locked the door before walking into the car
The truth of the matter is that Shawn never loved going to church but he used to go with her so that he could please the wife, infact he was never active in church,he used to go there so that he could be seen mostly by the wife.Shawn was the devil himself and sadly Joyline didn’t know who she was in bed with.
