“Differentiate between the two? Well apart from working with Marie for a few month, I happen to know her ” Charles said and when Romeo gave him a glare he coughed out slightly and sat down on the visitor seat.

“Like I said I know Marie but not in the way you think. Marie is kind, gentle and caring and that lady downstairs isn’t. It’s a ritual thing Caleb does with Marie every morning and …..”

“What does Caleb do with my wife?” Romeo asked.

“It’s nothing bad, he just carry her into his arms and spin her around and that is always done each time Caleb feels happy but the moment he did it with that lady she rebuked him calling him a fool for doing such a thing ”

“And then she told Jacob and James that they were both smelly and sweaty and that they should take a shower and then…..”

“She must have told you that you were sweaty and smelly too right?” Romeo asked cutting Charles off.

“No. She flirted with me instead. She told me that I was better looking and that if I actually need someone at night, I should feel free to call her” Charles said which angered Romeo.

“The Marie I know would never do such a thing. She’s been working with four guys for a month now and she has never called them sweaty ,smelly or tried flirting with them which brings me to the conclusion that that lady isn’t Marie” Charles added.

“You must really like Marie to know so much about her. Your right! That lady isn’t Marie but Develene Taylor” Romeo said having no choice but to tell him since he figure it out himself.

“Is Marie a twin?” Charles asked and Romeo sighed before he began telling him everything.

“So now Develene is back and Marie has been kidnapped?” Charles asked and Romeo nodded.

“If we tell the police about it it might put her at risk and so you asked your personal guard to do it discreetly?” Charles asked again and Romeo nodded.

“Marie would be found soon. I trust Willow to…..”

“Let me join in too. I can help you find her” Charles said.

“Why? What’s in it for you cause you know Marie loves me” Romeo said.

“I know that and am trying my best to get rid of the feelings I have for her but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to help. Marie has been there for me when I needed her and this time I will be for her. No strings attach” Charles told Romeo.

Romeo thought about it and though Charles says he wants nothing in return he still can’t trust him but what he knows now is that he need more help and of Charles is willing to give it then so be it

“Fine then. You can help look for her but do it discreetly. We wouldn’t want Develene knowing and also don’t let her know that you know she is not Develene” Romeo said and Charles nodded in reply.

Romeo walked out of the first floor elevator only to see most of his employees gathered around a group of people obviously watching the scene which was going on.

“You bch! Am going to s¢rew that mouth of yours!”

On hearing Develene voice, he ran into their midst only to see Develene being pulled back by a male employee.

“Don’t think you are now important because you are dating Romeo. We all know that you seduced him with that horrid body of yours” the lady she was fighting with retorted.

“I really need to punch that ugly face of yours in!” Develene muttered trying to pull away.

This is something Marie has been trying to avoid. Some of the employees were genuinely happy for them but some weren’t and he has often heard them talking about it..

Each time he tried to do something , Marie would always pull him back telling him to ignore them since they have nothing better to do but here is Develene causing trouble.

“That’s Enough!” Romeo yelled and that put a stop to the whole thing.

“What’s going on?” He asked.

“That sIut thinks I se.duce you?” Develene said.

“I never said it that way, I only said that she….”

“If you lie right now am gonna tear your mouth open” Develene said cutting the girl off

“Do you really think that I will stand by and let you do that?” The girl asked and they began shouting again.

“I said that’s Enough!” Romeo yelled out and this time they both shut up.

“Now you will take your things and wait for me outside” he said to Develene as he gave her bag.

“And you! Marie never seduced me. I did the seduction and just so you know she rejected me a couple of times but I didn’t give up.

So never talk carelessly about something you don’t know and the same goes for everyone else ” he said addressing the other employee who stood watching.

He turned to see Develene still standing there and taking hold of her hand roughly, he pulled her out of the company.

“Let go! You are hurting me” Develene said as she pulled her hand out of his.

“You might have the upper hand now because you have Marie with you but I suggest that you don’t do anything to taint her reputation” Romeo said angrily.

“Why? Because your still hoping that your precious Marie will come back? That won’t happen and so you are stuck with me Romeo. So get off your high horse and do the right thing by being nice to me and treat me like your wife” she said.

“That will never happen cause I don’t see you as my wife and I never will. Get a taxi home, you are ruining my mood” Romeo said as he got into the car and drove off not bothering to listen to Develene call.
