The whispers became louder and I kept looking around to see who they were coming from. But there was no one there. I was becoming weaker and dizzy and my voice was fading away. But I continued crying to God and baring my pains, hopelessness and helplessness to him. By the time I got to our compound, I was completely exhausted and my legs could barely carry my body. Miraculously, I made it to the door of my apartment.
While I was trying tiredly to unlock the door, I saw a trance. I was wide awake and a stallion formed of a bright light trotted past me. On its back was a man dressed in a war attire. In his right hand was a sword made of fire and he raised it up high. His face was unfathomable as it shone brightly and his armor glittered like it was adorned with ornaments.
It happened all fast and fazed out within some seconds. I managed to unlock the door and moved in. Right inside my apartment, I saw a beam of light. It was vertical and seemed to be emanating from the roof of the room even though it was a concrete decking. I also felt the light inviting me to come to it. It was more like pulling me into it but the pulling happened in my heart. I went towards it involuntarily but before I could get to it, I fainted.
Then I had a very short dream. In that dream, a man and a woman came to ask for my hand in marriage. They were going to marry me for their son who was dฤad. They were very rich and I was excited they wanted to marry me. I didn’t know them, but my mother and my elder brother were there. They were also happy that I was marrying a rich suitor. They had agreed to the proposal and we were all waiting for my father to come. It was his approval that will perfect the marriage.
Then, my father came. But he was not the father I knew. He was the man of light I saw earlier in the trance. His face remained unfathomable and his armor glittered. His sword of light was in his right hand and this time, he wore a crown made of different precious stones. Immediately he stepped in, everybody stood and staggered, except me. The people I perceived as my mother and elder brother ran behind the suitors. Then, my father spoke.
His voice was thunderous and they all trembled at the sound of it. He told them I was his daughter and they had no claims whatsoever over me. He commanded them to desist from from whatever they’d planned to do with me and to return whatever they’d taken from me. He spoke with utmost authority and while he spoke, they were all quiet and backing off slowly. Then slowly, they started transforming.
