“Yo…you….Your…. wife?” Charles stuttered.

“Yes my wife!” Romeo replied as he pushed Charles away from Marie.

“But you said you two were just dating” Charles said.

“I said so but the fact is that we are more than that and I hate it when people touch what belongs to me. So scram while am giving you the chance” Romeo said.

“Do you perhaps want this instead” Romeo asked as he made a fist with his hand but Marie held him back.

“Please Romeo. He is drunk” Marie told him.

“Am going to pardon you and that’s because you are drunk but am hoping that you leave before I change my mind” Romeo said and immediately Charles scrambled off.

“Why? Why did you let him do that?” Romeo asked as soon as Charles had gone.

“He took me by surprise. If I had seen it coming I would never have allowed him achieve it, I know how you feel and I will feel the same way if I caught you with another lady ” Marie told him softly.

“Do you know that you have a way of sweet talking me?” Romeo asked jokingly and she laughed out loud.

“I do hope I keep on doing so” she replied as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

“I have something for you” he said as pulled her wedding ring out of his pocket. “Now that we know of our feelings it’s only right that we have it on” Romeo said as he put the ring on her finger.

“I only took it off because you took it off first, I didn’t mind wearing it to work but when I read the news about you, I took it off out of spite. Am sorry” she said.

“I should be the one apologising. I caused you so much pain when I left. If this will make you feel better you ought to know that I travelled back to Paris in the wee hours of the morning just to get my ring back” Romeo said

“Serves you right but still am happy. We are wearing the ring for the right thing and we love each other. Kss me!” Marie initiated.

“Here? You know I won’t be able to keep my hands off you” Romeo muttered naughtily.

“I don’t care! I just want to kss you” Marie said which he obliged her.

They were still kssing when they heard someone clearing his throat a distance away.

Marie pulled out of Romeo arms to see Willow standing a distance away.

“Willow!” She called excitedly and without thinking, she ran into his arms happy to see him.

“Are you that happy to see me?” Willow asked still embracing her.

“Of course! I thought your long holiday will never come to an end” Marie replied.

Romeo cleared his throat and quickly she pulled away from him.

“How did you get on the yatch?” Romeo asked as he wrapped his arms around Marie pulling her to his side.

“Let’s just say have been on it before everyone got on board. I was going to tell you of my arrival today but….”

“You don’t have to explain yourself willow, am just glad that you are back and work will begin soon. Remember that I need my personal guard around ” Romeo said which got Willow smiling.

“I will remember that” Willow replied.

“Is it me or do I think that something has changed between you two?” Willow asked.

“It has. You see I found out recently that Marie loves me just as much as I love her” Romeo said..

“Well am happy for the both of you but what about Develene….what will you do about her?” Willow asked which erased the smile off their face.

“There’s nothing I will do and if she does comes back, I won’t ever look her way” Romeo muttered starring at Marie whose eyes were shining with love for him.

~A WEEK LATER ~

“What are you doing?” Romeo asked as he walked into the kitchen to see Marie cooking.

“Preparing our lunch” she replied.

“But lunch is still four hours away and besides we only eat out during lunch” Romeo said.

“Lunch being four hours away doesn’t mean that I can’t cook it down and besides I want a change of scenery today.

So let’s eat at home and dont worry about my condition, the food will certainly suit your palate” she told him with a smile on her face.

“Come help me taste this?” She said and he walked towards her to taste the stew she was making.

After wiping his mouth with her apron, she waited for his reply.

“It’s yummy! I can’t wait for lunch” he said excitedly.

“Are you sure? It’s not that you are just saying it to make me feel better?”

“Am sure my love, it’s really yummy” Romeo said and she nodded turning back to her cooking.

“Should I head to work first or should I wait?” He asked.

“Just go you know I don’t like us flaunting our relationship? Ever since the employee know about us they’ve been treating me like a goddess, wanting to be on my good side since am dating the boss himself, it’s been so stressing” she said and that got Romeo moving back to kss her on the lips.

“Am sorry” he apologied.

“You don’t have to apologise for every little thing. I love the fact that our relationship won’t be a secret but I also don’t want us to boast about it and so I will be coming to work on my own. Now go before you get late” she said kssing him on the lips again.

“I will but I will keep Willow with you okay” he said as he picked up his briefcase and with one last smile her way, he left his apartment.
