The Grammy-winning singer Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems, is about to release her first album, “Born in the Wild.”
The hit song “Damages” singer revealed the much awaited project on Monday through a post on her Instagram page.
She revealed a video that appeared to be a sneak peek at the album’s artwork and stated that the project will be out in May.
She did not, however, specify when the project would be released.
“Born in the Wild. The Album. May 2024,” she wrote.
The announcement comes a few hours after she teased one of the songs from the album at the 2024 Coachella.
Tems had previously declared that the project’s 2024 release is “100%” guaranteed.
2020 saw Tems begin to become well-known as a result of her collaboration with Wizkid on the song “Essence.”
She released her first extended play (EP), “For Broken Ears,” in the same year.
Since then, she has made a name for herself in the Nigerian music scene and received numerous honors.
The singer received her first-ever Grammy award in February 2023.
She won the “Best Melodic Rap Performance” award for her performance in Future’s 2022 hit song “Wait for U,” which features Drake.
The singer received a “Breakthrough Award” in March from the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards.
