Femi couldn’t stop weeping silently, he still couldn’t believe this was happening, he was happy that Tanimola finally found someone to love and cherish her.

    He asked for her forgiveness once again and promise to take care of the food and drinks during their wedding. Kunbi promised to get Tanimola all her bridal accessories. At that point, Tanimola couldn’t ask God for more. She told herself that there is absolutely nothing like forgiveness.

    Tanimola’s traditional wedding happened three months later and it was such a beautiful moment, Femi watched as Tanimola became a legal wife and his joy was truly full. He made up his mind to teach his sons about the danger of molesting a female child.

    Kunbi was truly happy at the turn of things, she was indeed happy for Tanimola, her dad’s brother and wife took up the role of her parent and everything went on well. Just as God promised her, Femi received a call-up letter to come and pastor a church in the United States, at first, Femi was afraid, he was satisfied with being a normal church member but Kunbi encouraged him as she was ready to be his backbone and intercessor.

    Femi and his family traveled to the United States to resume his office as the pastor of a church. He looked back at everything that happened and all he understood was that a past that is not well handled can ruin one’s beautiful future. He then decided to always teach the young ones the dangers of living life anyhow. Another promise he made to himself was that he would forever cherish his wife because only a special woman could fight life battles with a man.

    Femi felt bad about the way his wife reacted him, that was the first of its kind since they came back together. His mom noticed something was wrong and wanted to know but he told her it was nothing. He did the necessary house chores and then left for the boutique.

    Kunbi was breastfeeding one of her twins and was still fuming when the Holy Spirit began to speak to her.

    Holy Spirit: Do children of God keep malice and bear a grudge?

    Kunbi: of course not, thank God I don’t do that

    Holy Spirit: did you reply to your husband’s greeting?

    Kunbi: Lord, imagine the nonsense he was spewing out of his mouth, who in his or her right sense will want to release a criminal, what if she comes back to harm us?

    Holy Spirit: I delivered you from her, you didn’t deliver yourself, Hope you know that? Kunbi, have you ever asked me why I gave you to Femi as a wife?

    Kunbi: no, Lord

    Holy Spirit: I gave you to him because you are the only one that can help him fight his life battle and help him accomplish the task in his hands. Kunbi, you have been prepared for this task long ago even before you met him, you have been clothed with the necessary virtues you need to help him succeed. What if I ask you to let go of the case?

    Kunbi: You can’t do that, Lord! What if she decided to harm my children again?

    Holy Spirit: I need you to bring my daughter back to me. Tanimola is meant to be a vessel to the teenagers and youths but she is wounded, Kunbi, don’t refuse this. Right now, she wants to end her life

    Kunbi: (bursts into tears) Lord, can I do this? Can I face the person who killed my son?

    Holy Spirit: Ask for the strength and grace to forgive. My daughter, I have something greater in store for you but you need to let go and bring my daughter back home.

    Kunbi: Help me, Lord!!

    Right there, Kunbi began to ask for God’s grace, and like a rushing wind, she was enveloped by God’s grace and power. She fed her children, rock them to sleep, and then told her mother-in-law that she needed to get somewhere. She then took a cab to the station where Tamar was locked up. She told the policemen that she needed to speak with Tamar. At first, the policemen tried to say no to her request but after she gave them some amount of money, they let her in.

    Tamar thought Joe had come to see her when the policeman told her she had a visitor but to her surprise, she met Kunbi sitting in the visiting room with a black polythene nylon beside her. At first, Tamar thought she had come to mock her but Kunbi’s loving touch and soothing words made her think otherwise.

    Kunbi: (touched her lovingly) How are you doing? And the baby?

    Tamar: do you care? Are you not here to mock me?

    Kunbi: (took a deep breath) Tanimola, I forgive you.

    Tamar: (shocked) For…for..forgive me? Like, you forgive me for killing your son and attempting to kill your twins

    Kunbi: Yes and one more thing, Your Father wants you back. He sent me here to tell you that He misses you, He said He misses your fellowship with Him, He said He misses how you praise and worship Him, He said He misses how you propagate His word

    Tamar: (tears began to drop from her face) He told you that?? I thought He hated me when He allowed me to be raped, I thought He had forgotten me, I thought He no longer needed me

    Kunbi: Not at all dear, He said the work He asked you to do is suffering, He said those you are meant to bring back to Him are going astray. You need to come back to God, He wants you back.

    Kunbi didn’t say much before Tamar began to cry, she wept so much that even Kunbi became scared. Kunbi was led to hold Tamar’s hands and then begin to speak in tongues, immediately Kunbi did that, Tamar received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Tamar and Kunbi were like that for almost an hour till a policeman came to inform Kunbi that her time was up. Before leaving, Kunbi gave Tamar the food she brought for her and then gave her an emotional embrace.

    After leaving Tamar, Kunbi went to inform the DPO that she was no longer interested in the case hence, Tamar should be released the following day. The DPO inquired if she meant what she said which Kunbi affirmed.

    On her way back home, Kunbi felt a kind of happiness in her. Knowing that she made her husband unhappy in the morning, Kunbi stopped at the market to buy foodstuffs to prepare his favorite meal. Immediately she got home, she began cooking so that she can be done before her husband gets back.

    After the workers locked up the boutique, Femi drove home in his car, and on his way, he kept praying that God should touch his wife. He hated the atmosphere she gave him in the morning and wouldn’t want a re-occurrence when he gets back home. An idea dropped in his mind which was stopping at a mall to buy his wife a very beautiful dress. Done with buying, he drove home believing that God will touch his wife’s heart.

    As Femi stepped into the living room, his wife embraced him lovingly which was so surprising, he looked at her and discovered she was looking beautiful, happy, and smelling nice. Kunbi further surprised him by leading him to the room, she made him sit on a cushion in the room and then place his favorite food before him. Femi had so many questions running through his mind but he let himself enjoy the moment. While he was eating, Kunbi told him something which he found so hard to believe.

    Kunbi: I have released Tamar

    Juliet and Joe both went to the police station to see Tamar, Joe couldn’t stop crying when he saw the state she was in, Tamar’s body had been disfigured with torture. Joe had to plead with the DPO so that Tamar won’t be tortured, he explained to him that she was pregnant with his child, and if the torture continue, Tamar might lose the pregnancy. After giving the DPO some amount of money, the DPO told his junior officers to stop torturing her. The DPO then advised him to see the owner of the case and plead with him to let go of the case.

    Juliet and Joe then decided to go plead with Femi to forgive Tamar. Juliet took the lead and luckily for them, they met Femi at home. Femi was cuddling his wife to sleep when his mother informed him that he had some visitors. He left his wife with his mother and then went to attend to the visitors. Getting to the sitting room, he met a man and a woman who introduced themselves to be Tamar’s boyfriend and best friend respectively.

    Joe pleaded with Femi to forgive Tamar and let sleeping dogs lie, he promised Femi that Tamar would sign an undertaking that she would never come near anything that has to do with them. Femi appreciated the duo and promised to talk to his wife because she was the victim of Tamar’s wickedness. Joe and Femi exchanged contact with the promise that Femi will get back to Joe.

    When Juliet and Joe left, Femi was at a a loss at how he would present the issue to his wife because he knows she would have none of it. Left to him, he was ready to let go because he knows he was the cause of all that was happening. That night, Femi couldn’t sleep, he tried to wake his wife to discuss but he was afraid. Later on, he summoned courage and woke her up.

    Femi: Babe, I just want to discuss with you, please

    Kunbi: (yawning) Is everything alright? Why are you not sleeping?

    Femi: Babe, I need a huge favor from you. Can you do it for me?

    Kunbi: huge favor?? What is it? Femi, you are scaring me ooooh

    Femi: (went on his knees) My wife, the woman my heart beats for, the mother of my children, the woman who always overlooks my weaknesses

At that point, he was loss at what to do, he laid on the floor crying and praying to God for divine intervention. He knew he won’t be able to survive the fact that Tamar end up in the prison. He cried and prayed till he slept off.

    All through the following day, Kunbi was just murmuring, she refused to reply to her husband’s greeting or even interact with him.

    Kunbi: Tanimola, please, I am begging you.

    Tamar: wow! Femi has told you all you need to know. I thought you will serve him a divorce letter after I killed your son but it’s obvious you love him.

    Kunbi: See, I am deeply sorry for all my husband did to you, I know he turned you into a monster but please, forgive me.

    Tamar: sorry? Did you just say sorry? And you think this sorry will take away the hurt I have been going about with for years?     While at the boutique, Femi suddenly began to have this uneasy feeling, he knew something wasn’t well. He called his wife but she didn’t pick up, he called his mom to know if everything was fine with everyone at home but she made him realize that she went to the nearby store to buy something for Kunbi. Femi then urged his mother to return home quickly and let him know how his wife and children were faring.

    Just as instructed, Mrs. Oyewole hurriedly went home to see how Kunbi and her grandchildren were doing. As she step her foot into the living room, she heard Kunbi screaming for help. She moved closer to the room and heard her mention ‘Tamar’. Right there, she quickly called Femi to inform him that Tamar was around then she ran to the next building to call some men.

    Femi became restless when he heard that Tamar was around, he took his car keys and made to leave for home but the Holy Spirit prevented him. He tried to leave again but the restriction he got was so strong hence, he had no choice but to go on his knees and begin to ask for God’s mercy.

    Fortunately, Mrs. Oyewole was able to get five men who went with her. She took the men to her son’s bedroom and they were able to overpower Tamar who was so lost in whatever she was telling Kunbi that she didn’t know when the men tiptoed into the room. As one of the men pounced on her, the gun fell and they were able to tie her hands with rope while they expect the policemen that Mrs. Oyewole had already telephoned.

    The policemen arrived some minutes later and after watching the video of Tamar trying to shoot Kunbi’s children, they handcuff Tamar and took her away.

    Kunbi couldn’t believe that her babies were not hurt, she saw Tamar raise the gun in her hands in an attempt to shoot her babies. At that point, she was hopeless, she believed she would lose her twins too but suddenly, she saw a man jump on Tamar making the gun fall off her hands. Kunbi was still in that surprised state when her husband walked in. She ran to him embracing him emotionally while Mrs. Oyewole attended to the terrified babies.

    Joe was at work when he received a call from Juliet that Tamar had been arrested and locked in the police cell. He stopped what he was doing and went to meet Juliet. Getting to Juliet’s residence, he was shocked to hear that Tamar went on a revenge mission and was arrested. He was shocked because she never discussed such with him, what she told him was that someone close to her once betrayed her.

    Joe was supposed to get married the day he met Tamar but it happened that his wife-to-be didn’t show up which made him heartbroken and in an attempt to forget his worries, he went to a bar to drink himself in a stupor. It was at the bar that he met Tamar who was also there to drink herself into a stupor, one thing led to another and they ended up having sex. They became friends with benefits later on and in the process, Tamar became pregnant.

    Tamar didn’t tell him she was pregnant in the first place as she decided to go for an abortion but Juliet who knew Joe was in love with Tamar alerted him. Since pregnancy was involved, Joe decided he would get married to her to give his child the best kind of life.

Right on the bed, Femi began to sing praises to God but he was careful not to wake his wife up.

    Femi woke up the following morning, he was afraid when he didn’t see his wife on the bed. Afraid that she had decided to go back to her mom’s place, Femi sprung to his feet and began searching for her. Fortunately, he saw her cooking in the kitchen.
    He rushed to her and took over what she was doing.

    Femi: Good Morning dear, you should have woken me up to do this na? Have you forgotten what the doctor said?

    Kunbi: This isn’t hard work, I just wanted to have a taste of something cooked by me.

    Femi: still, you didn’t have to stress yourself

    Kunbi: Alright! This one you are panting heavily, are you thinking I went away?

    Femi: hmmm! Maybe

    Kunbi: my mind is made up. This is my home and nobody is taking my place.

    Femi: Great! I love that.

    As time went on, Kunbi opened up her heart and herself to her husband and they began to relate as they do before. This time around, their love waxed stronger and they became stronger Christians. Since Femi was no longer pastoring in the church, he decided to join his wife in her business, and within a short period, the business expanded. Just as her mother explained, the unity between her and her husband made them prosper financially.

    Kunbi became a woman of prayer and with that, God was fighting the battles of her family, she utilized midnight prayers and God proved to her that He doesn’t abandon those that seek Him early. Often times, Kunbi remembered that Tamar was still out there and was afraid that she could still launch an attack on her family but the Holy Spirit was always calming her that as long as she was close to God, He would fight for her.

    Kunbi went for a scan after some months and it was confirmed that she was carrying two boys, the couple was overjoyed, they couldn’t stop praising God for His mercy and faithfulness, Kunbi on her part was so excited. When her pregnancy came to its full term, she delivered two bouncing boys.

    As the babies were placed in Femi’s hands, tears fell from his face. He was grateful to God for the bundle of joy God gave to them. Right in the hospital, he began to pray for them and soak them in the blood of Jesus. He decreed into their life that they will never be a victim of sudden death.

    One month after Kunbi delivered her boys, her mother-in-law who was helping to take care of the babies went to the next street to get some things while Kunbi went to the bathroom to wash herself. Done with what she was doing in the bathroom, she came into the room to meet her baby crying. Alarmed, she looked around the room to see what caused their cry only for her to see Tamar standing at one corner of the room with a gun in her hand.

    With bubbling joy in him, Femi walked into Kunbi’s ward and couldn’t stop staring at her lean face. The news of his wife’s pregnancy suddenly brought tears to his face, the past weeks had been tubulous but it was obvious God’s mercy is still speaking for his marriage, he remembered his cute son and prayed for his soul to rest in peace. Kunbi sneezed and became conscious, Femi ran to her and asked how she fared. While trying to know how she was feeling, Mrs. Luis walked into Kunbi’s ward. Femi had called her earlier to explain the situation of things to her.

    Femi: (spoke with great excitement) Babe, can you believe what the doctor told me? He said you are three months pregnant but you shouldn’t stress yourself so that we won’t lose the baby

    Kunbi: Mummy, do you know what is annoying me? The fact that Femi could hide something as huge as this. He was a fellowship pastor when we met and he understands what the Bible says about transparency, why on earth will he still hide his past from me?

    That night, Kunbi prayed and wept asking God for the grace to let go. She was ready to build her home, she was ready to wage war against the enemy and take over her position in her home. The devil is not meant to win the war against her marriage.

    The following day, Kunbi freshen up, had her breakfast, and decided to step out of the house as she had been indoors for weeks. She was done with crying and blaming God for all that happened. Yes, she missed her son so much but she wasn’t going to dwell in the past anymore.

    She decided to go to a garden near her house, that was where she and Femi spent most of their courtship days. Getting to the garden, Kunbi lay on the grasses allowing the cool breeze to penetrate her skin. She was like that for some minutes but when the weather changed, she stood up to go home. As she stood up, she suddenly began to feel dizzy, and before she knew what was happening, she fell and became unconscious.

She believed God have the best plan for her hence, she was ready to do His will.

    When Femi came into the picture, she took her time to pray and listen to all God had to say about their marriage before accepting to do life with him. Since she met Christ at a tender age and was always obeying Him when it comes to the issue of relationships, she had never been in any relationship till she met Femi.

    He was her first love hence, she came to his home undefiled. Femi was surprised to meet his wife undefiled as the rough life he once lived made him believe that there were no longer virgins. That was one of the reasons he doesn’t joke with his wife, anyone who try to hurt her always had him to contend with.

    She kept asking God why He allowed such calamity to befall her home, she remembered how prayed and fasted a lot for a happy home, she remembered the sacrifices she made just for her to have a godly home. Kunbi had lots of questions for her husband but he refused to come back home. Since the day the Pastor broke the news of the lady’s pregnancy to Kunbi, Femi had not to stepped his feet in the house.

    Femi who could not bring himself to face his wife took solace in his friend’s house. Knowing who his wife is, if he goes home at that moment, he might end up becoming a dead man because Kunbi would want to vent her anger on him which could involve her stabbing him. At his friend’s place, Femi placed himself on dry fasting, praying, and asking God for forgiveness. It was after praying for a week while at his friend’s place that the Holy Spirit asked him to go back home.

    Kunbi was preparing lunch for her son when she heard the doorbell ring, she cleaned her hands with the kitchen napkin and then went to answer the door. Getting to the door, she met a young lady who introduced herself as Tamar.

    Kunbi: Hello??

    Tamar: Hi, my name is Tamar and I believe this is my new home.

    Kunbi: excuse me??

    Tamar: haven’t you been informed?

    Kunbi: that??

    Tamar: I am carrying your husband’s child and I will have to live with you until my baby is born and DNA is carried out on the baby

    Kunbi: well, you may be carrying my husband’s child but that does not give you the right to live here. This is my house and I am not going to share it with anyone, not even a slut.

    Tamar: you can call me whatever you like, all I know is that this is my husband’s house and I am going nowhere because my unborn child must be in his father’s house

    Kunbi: if you move an inch closer to this house, I will pour hot water on you

    Tamar: look at me very well, I am not a cool person. I am very crazy, if you try nonsense, I will so much deal with you.

    At that moment, Femi walked into the house only to meet Tamar and Kunbi shouting at one another. Femi quickly knelt before his wife asking for forgiveness and pleading with her to let Tamar stay till he get her another apartment.

    Kunbi gave her husband a wicked look and then let Tamar in. Femi took Tamar into a vacant room before going to meet his wife.

    Kunbi: Have I ever been a bad wife to you? What do you lack in this marriage? Sex? Good food? Love? Care? Tell me so that I can know where I went wrong

    Femi: Kunbi please, I am sorry for every pain you are going through

    Kunbi: ohh, shut it right there, you know nothing about what I am going through. I gave you my heart, I gave you my love and my virginity, what did you do in return, you broke my heart

    Femi: (knelt before her) Kunbi, please

    Kunbii: you will pay dearly for what you did, read my lips.

    Femi: Haaa, Kunbi, have mercy on me.

    With that, Kunbi went into the kitchen to continue what she was doing.
