    Dave sat down on his desk wondering why the new girl is not in school for two days now and it’s obvious that he has been secretly crushing on her which no one noticed.

    “Who knows whether that idiot is a prostitute and whether she’s pregnant which stopped her from coming to school ” Joy said and all of them end of laughing

    “Melody sent me a message to you “She said looking else where and standing akimbo. hearing the name melody Henry stopped and looked back at her and she smiled inwardly knowing that her plan will work out.

    “Melody? you mean the new melody? he asked and she nodded her head.

    “Melody is pregnant, and the news is everywhere. she saw me on my way back from school yesterday and check asked me to plead with you that it’s not her fault to get pregnant that she has been doing prostitution just to survive ” She said and just then Henry expression changed immediately hearing that and he was out of words as he left the place instantly without saying anything.

    “Yes it work as well planned ” Amanda exclaimed and walked to their girls who were eager to hear how it went.

    Henry got to the class and he couldn’t even eat the lunch he purchased from the cafeteria without of the news he just got from Amanda.

    he wondered whether it’s true, or whether she lied to him.

    He remember that Amanda always hated melody for no reason which makes a little perplex whether Amanda is trying to deceive him or whether it’s true.

    “It might be true ooo because I can’t see a reason a new girl after her two days in school is suddenly absent from school for three days ” he said to himself and then decided to forget the matter and see the outcome of it.

    Melody was so excited that finally God has answered her prayers by sending a good Samaritan to help her mother.

    Mr Armstrong heard the news of his wife being involved in an accident, so he rushed out of the house to go see his wife not knowing that the worst is awaiting him too on the road as he got involved also in a fatal car accident.

    Mr Patrick could be seen driving along the lonely way so speedly as if he is playing the game called fast and furious.

    He stopped at a huge compound that has a big fence on it with electric wires that prevents thief’s from entering the house.

    He press the car horn and immediately the gate was roll open, he drove in park the car in the car garage and move inside faster as someone who is being chased by a troop of army or someone who is under a demonic spell.

    His house was well built with a small garden inside and everything in it smell money which is to say that Mr Patrick has what is called money.

    He was so restless immediately he entered his house, he pace up and down with the car key making noise in his hands at the same time.

    “What a bad day for me. how could this possibly happen?
    “I knock down a lady on my way back and I ran and left without taking her to the hospital, and the worst of it on my way of running, I also knock down an old man too and still run away? Mr Patrick complained bitterly.

    “that’s so bad of me, what if they die how will their kids feel?

    “No, I have to start searching for them now before the worst happen “he concluded and just then Amanda emerged from her room wearing a mini skirt that stopped below her thighs which got her body exposed but she didn’t care.

    Mr Patrick kissed her daughter on the forehead and head out of the house praying that he found the two people his car had knocked down earlier.

    It’s obvious that it’s Mr Patrick car which is Amanda father that knocked down Melody both parents and he ran away leaving them to their own fate after the incident.

    Mr Armstrong was already admitted in a close hospital with the help of a closed friend and that was when the news got to Melody that her mother too was also involved in an accident which was the reason her father on his way to check on her got involved too.

    It was a very sad and tragic day for melody for her both parents to get involved in a car accident, and she had no option than to pray that their suffering end soon.

    Melody didn’t go to school but she took on her mother’s business of selling orange on the streets.

    She was visibly seen with a tray of ripe orange on her head shouting for people to buy from her under the hot sun of the day.

    Back to golden gates high school Mrs Hannah class was so boring to her as she looked around only to discover that melody who always makes her class interesting was not in school.

    She wondered what could have made her stay back from school, she even wanted to visit her to check what’s wrong but the worst part of it is that she doesn’t fully know her talkless of their address.

    Henry too was confused because Melody always comes first to school but it is almost #11:30am and she’s nowhere to be found.

    Amanda couldn’t help but to smile that the bitch is not in the school.

    She was sitting with her gossip team breaking people with their mouth.

    The bell came on for break and the time was #11:30 which was to last for 30 minutes. students rushed out of their class to the cafeteria to enjoy themselves with snacks and all sort of things but Melody wasn’t interested knowing that she can’t afford those.

    Melody was already tired of the drama so she left the place heading to the staff room praying that she find the way to it and luckily for her after 5 minutes of walking she found it.

    Back to the busy roads where cars were driving up and down, Mrs Armstrong Melody’s mommy was busy selling orange to her customers under the hot sun but she didn’t care.

    She didn’t want her daughter to end up like her uneducated that’s why she’s struggling to see her through in education.

    “I’m Henry by name, it’s a pleasure to have you here “he said but melody didn’t say anything but only looked do feeling the tears that has formed in her eyes ready to drop because of the insult Amanda gave her.

    Henry knew that she’s not in the right mode, maybe he has to try again later so he left her to be alone.

    The rest of the day was so boring to Melody as the environment was new to her and she didn’t have any friend there. finally the school bell gave a loud sound telling all the students that it’s closing time.

    Everyone rushed down the the assembly hall for the closing prayer, Melody was the last person to arrive the hall.

    After the prayers, the school compound was filled with cars as parents come to pick their children home.

    Henry wave at her from a distance and then entered his father car and they zoom off.

    The environment became deserted once again as everyone left with their parents in car but her own story was different as she began to walk out if the school compound with her legs.

    She got home and found out that her mom has not returned from selling her oranges on the road, so she changed into something casual, carried the orange tray and set into the road to make her own sales.

    As early as #6:45 am melody was already in the school and she was the first person in the school compound thus giving her the opportunity to have a clear walk around the school compound and know how it looked like.

    Students began coming to school and soon the school compound was filled again with a huge number of students.

    Melody had already went into her class, she was busy reading her note book at that spare time which was something difficult for most of the students to do but here is melody doing it in the early hour of the day.

    As she was reading, Henry entered the class with smiles on his lips.

    “Good morning melody “he greeted but got no response. he wondered whether she is deaf or dump so he greeted again to be sure but still there was no response so he decided not to bother her again maybe she’s dump or something.

    The bell for morning devotion came and everyone rushed to the hall including Melody. The devotion ended pretty well after a sermon by the school chaplain which the students were being dismissed to their class.

    Amanda arrived the school immediately after the morning devotion and her eyes went directly to Melody sit but she was not there but her books were there.

    Henry too was looking at Amanda very closely to know her next step. Immediately she sat down, the biology teacher Mrs Hannah entered again for the left over note the previous day to be completed.

    She didn’t waste time after completing the previous note, she introduced a new topic on the board which has never been taken before.

    “Can someone brief how Amoeba looks like? Mrs Hannah asked and the class went silent as none has the idea to the answer, she looked around the person to answer but none seems to know.

    Amanda was too shy to stand as she has no clue of the answers to give.

    After waiting for a while, Mrs Hannah saw that Melody was busy writing down things in her note book which instantly provoked her and she angrily shouted at Melody.

    “Stand up now immediately! Mrs Hannah commanded and she obeyed and stood up. Henry wondered what made her to stand up because he thought that she was deaf and dumb.

    “Ma, Amoeba is an organism that has no shape and it is being classified into kingdoms and species and it’s unlike paramecium and euglina that has shape.
    “MA that’s all I know about Amoeba “Melody said in her angelic voice.

    Mrs Hannah opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out of it because she was really stunned with the answer Melody gave her and it was the correct answer.

    She has never seen someone as brilliant as Melody before, meanwhile Amanda was smiling thinking that Melody will be punished not knowing that Melody is far more better than her.

    “Can you guys clap for this beautiful girl? Mrs Hannah said and everyone clapped for Melody except Amanda who refused to clap with a frown look on her face wondering what could make her teacher to tell the students to clap for that poor bitch .

    She pushed the gate open and then step inside the building stairing at the tall storey building not knowing where to enter.
    Even the security man wondered what she was doing there because of how she entered and ever since he started working there as the security no kid that schooled there will walk on his or her bare foot to the school compound, but here is a different story of a girl who looked stranded into the school compound.

    Melody was confused not knowing where to enter nor who to ask whether she’s in the right place, we push the gate open again and looked at the huge bill board to be sure that she’s in the right place, and it was boldly written on it “GOLDEN GATES HIGH SCHOOL “.

    Luckily for her, the school bell rang signalling for the morning devotion which made students rush out of their classes to the school chaplain thus giving her the opportunity to know where exactly she should go.

    #7:45 am.

    The school morning devotion was still on when melody walked into the hall and her shoe make noise which gained everyone attention to where she was.

    She was nearly dressed with the school uniform, green skirt, white shirt and green beret with a long green socks.

    Her dress was nearly ironed as the two lines appeared visible to everyone that had eyes, she stopped walking and then joined a queue not knowing which class she’s standing.

    The devotion was finally brought to a close as the principal dismissed the students with a brief announcement and then looked at melody….

    looked at melody and then immediately recognized who she was.

    “I guess you are Melody right? he said pointing at her which made everyone to look at the new girl.

    “Yes sir I am” she replied

    “Good, follow me to my office immediately after this, the rest of you should go to your different classes “he said and everyone left except Melody who followed him to his office.

    The clouds turn dark instantly showing that there’s going to be a big showers of blessing from the atmosphere thereby telling all the sensible human beings present on the road to find their way back home.

    suddenly it started raining so heavily that even not a single car was found on the road driving.

    Melody father could be seen rushing up and down, placing buckets in the places that had a leakage on the zinc.
    some places were left over as there were no more buckets to be placed, the water started flooding the house as Melody father tried his best to stop it from overflowing it’s bank by using a small broom to sweep it but it was of no use as the water kept increasing each second.

    Melody’s mother was really soaked by the rain on the road as she was busy trying her best to gather for the family in her small business of orange selling.
    The rain had successfully did it’s best by soaking melody’s mother.

    Truly Melody’s family was really poor to the extent they can’t even be compared to others.
