“You no good maid daughter!” Martha said, walking towards her with her hand raised but Darren caught it.

“Don’t even dare” he said, tightening his hand to inflict pain on her.

“What’s going on, here?” Graham ask, standing by the door way.

“What are you doing here, Graham? This is not your class” Natalie was the one to speak.

“Aaah! I should have known” he mutter, walking towards Judy, Darren and Martha.

Taking Martha by the shoulder, Graham push her aside and that got her slamming hard against the board.

He then move towards Judy, cupping her cheek.

“Are you okay?” He ask and Judy could only nod in reply.

Moving towards Martha, he raise his hand the same way she did, prepare to strike her but he stop,smiling down at her.

“Afraid? Then you should have known better than to raise your hand on my girl” he said and turn to the rest of the class.

“Judy Robert is my girlfriend, she’s the girl I love and I want no one,I repeat, I want no one messing with her. If anyone dares to touch her or harass her again,you will be facing my wrath, I hope have made myself clear” he said loud enough.

“Am glad that a lot of you are present, you will be able to send out my message to everyone. No one messes with my girl not even my family” he added.

Judy watch how Graham defended her and something tug in her, it made her feel weird but she shook off the feeling when Graham took her bag and pulled her to the back seat where a boy was seated.

“Find somewhere else to seat” he said and when the boy left, he made Judy seat in one of the chair while he sat on the other one beside her.

“Aren’t you going to go back to your class?” Judy ask softly.

“Am not, this is my class from now on” he said and turn to the other students.

“And for the record, am the newest member of this class, I hope you all treat me with care” he said and turn back to Judy.

“I switch class to be by your side, I did well, right?” He ask and all Judy could do was to put her head on the desk.

With him in the same class with her, it will be hard trying to avoid him….what’s she going to do now?

“For this term grouping. I want all of you file in two row. The first role will pick a number from this box while the second will pick from this box, get into it children” Mr Collins said and immediately everyone made a line all taking their number.

Juliet pick the number six and went back to her seat and when everyone were done picking, Mr Collins spoke again.

“Now, the number you have with you is also the number someone else has. For instance if you have a four and someone else has a four then automatically you two are partners, so am giving you some few minutes to find your partner”

Immediately he said that, everyone began to look for their number, Juliet stood waiting for someone to call out number six, she was surprise to see Louis approach her.

“Tell me you are number ten sweetheart” he ask and she showed him her number.

“Damn Mr Collins” Louis mutter as someone tap him on the back.

” I believe this is my place” Romeo said, showing Louis and Juliet his number which is number six.

“You two are partners” Louis said, laughing softly as a angry Amber came to pull him away.

Romeo stood beside Juliet, watching how she was trying hard to avoid his gaze, then softly he said

“This goes to show that you can’t avoid me. No matter how much you try, we will end up together”

Immediately he said that, Juliet look at him and he smile at her.

“Are you Judy Robert?” One of the girls ask, checking out Judy’s outfit.

“We will just like to know if the rumour about you and Graham is true? It’s not right? There’s no way he will like a girl like you, right?” The girl ask.

“Hey, you are being rude” Darren said.

“Am not rude. I just want to know if she’s playing us all by pretending to be Graham’s girlfriend cause there’s no way he will fall for a girl like her”

“And what’s wrong with a girl like her?” Someone said behind them and they all turn to see Graham walking towards them.

“Good morning, Blondie” he said as he got close to Judy, giving her a kiss on the forehead in front of everyone, then his hand snake around her waist, holding her close.

“Now back to you. What do you mean by a girl like her? Can’t I date whoever I want?” Graham ask the girl.

“But she’s…she’s not even pretty!” The girl yell in anger.

“I doubt that. My babe here is a lot better than you, am quite sure you had surgery done to your nose…see, you are all plastic while she’s natural and I…love natural girls” Graham told the girls who left, feeling hurt.

“I…I need to get to class. See you later” She said, pulling away to run off and a laughing Darren followed suit while Graham stood watching her.

Among the onlookers stood Travis and Natalie.

“See! If you don’t accept to join hands with me, then the girl you like will fall for someone else and you will be left a loser, like always” Natalie said and left.

Travis stood watching Graham, his fist tightening in anger.

On hearing her name, Juliet turn to see Romeo waving at her.

She look away from him, hastening her footsteps only to fall flat on the floor when she step on her shoe lace.

Before she could get on her feet, Romeo was by her side, he put out his hand to help her up but she ignore it and stood up herself.

Releasing a sigh, he crouch in front of her and begin to tie her shoe lace. Juliet wanted to stop him but she couldn’t and by the time he was done, she could feel people’s gaze on them.

“Why do you try your best to avoid me?” He ask straightening up.

“I wasn’t avoiding you”

“You were and you do know that it won’t do” Romeo said

“What won’t do?”

“You avoiding me. We are classmates, we will see each other everyday and there’s no way we won’t interact, So it’s best you start getting use to me cause there won’t be any escape for you” he said this while moving close to her.

Juliet had nothing to say to that and so, she did what she knew how to do best which is to run.

A fuming Amber could be seen walking down the hall, in search of Louis.

She got to one of the lab to find him kissing a girl.

“Get out!” She said and immediately, the girl left the room, who will dare disobey the Dean’s daughter.

“Why ruin it? Have been trying to get that girl and now that I have you….”

“Shut up and take a look at this” Amber said showing him the video of Romeo tying Juliet shoe.

“It’s so obvious now that he’s interested in her. What are you doing? I won’t lose Romeo to that girl and so you better….”

“Relax Amber. Have got things under control” he said, cutting her off.

“How?” Amber ask, feeling doubtful.

“Remember today is the grouping for science class, Right?”

“And?”

“I kind of made a deal with Mr Collins. Juliet and I will be partners and from there, I get close to her and bam! She’s out of your way, trust me, okay” Louis said assuring her and Amber nods in answer.

Judy was laughing at a joke Darren was telling her when Martha, Natalie best friend came to stand in front of her desk.

She push off Judy’s bag which was on the desk, alerting them of her presence.

“What’s your deal?”

“Shut up loser, you are not the one I came here for” Martha said to Darren before turning to Judy.

“You know, I just can’t believe that Graham will be dating someone like you”

“Will you also say the same thing the girl from earlier said?” Judy ask and that made Martha laugh.

“Of course not! She approach you without fact but I do have fact to tell that you aren’t Graham’s girlfriend” Martha said which got Judy and Darren starring at each other.

“Turns out that Judy here is the daughter of a maid. She scrubs and clean after Natalie and Travis family” Martha said, making her voice audible so everyone can hear her.

From where Natalie sat, she smile while Travis frown at Martha who didn’t seem to notice.

“So tell me how the daughter of a maid can get the attention of someone like Graham Stone? Did you seduce him by offering to clean his home or better yet did your mother teach you how to….” Martha words were left unsaid when Judy got up to push her.

“That’s because you are the only one available. My book will be better without your face in it” Juliet said In return.

“Ouch! That hurts. Well then, if am too ugly, you won’t mind using that dude who keeps looking at us, he’s quite good looking” Darren said starring over her back and Juliet turn to see Romeo watching them.

“What is he? An admirer?” Darren ask

“Let’s leave” She said, walking off while Darren followed, taking her bag to help her carry it.

“Is he really her boyfriend?” Romeo mutter watching Juliet leave with Darren.

“Why don’t you go after them and ask” Louis said as he and Amber got to where he stood.

“Err, Romeo. There’s this movie that just came out and am wondering if you will like to watch… ”

“Sorry Amber, I need to go home early. Something happen to my brother, need to check on him, perhaps another time” Romeo said as a black sedan car pull in front of them.

“So what did you say? Will you pretend to be Graham girlfriend?” Darren ask after hearing her explanation.

“I told Nina that I will think about it but am going to refuse”

“But why?”

“Why? If I agree to it then I will be decieving Graham and have you thought of the real Judy? What if she suddenly show up, what am I going to do?” Judy ask.

“For now Judy is long gone. She threw away a guy who loves her for her career and before she return, Graham would have fallen head over heels for you” Darren said in excitement.

“Hell no! That’s the part am scared of the most. I don’t want him falling for me and I won’t fall for him. He might be the perfect guy for other girls but he’s not for me”

“Common Darren. I thought you will be able to help me figure things out but you are only making it worse by….” The ringing of her phone interrupted her.

“You feel nothing for him, right. Then it shouldn’t be a problem” Darren added, cutting her off.

“Judy Roberts! Where the hell are you Judy!” Natalie call got the two friends rolling their eyes.

“There goes the witch” Darren mutter.

“Am over here, Natalie” Judy reply.

Juliet sat munching on the sandwich her mother had prepared in the morning.

She brought out her sketchbook and began sketching the landscape oblivious to Romeo arrival.

Unknowingly, a smile lit Romeo face when he saw Juliet and slowly, he approach her. Looking at her drawing from behind.

“You are quite an artist” he said startling her.

“Am sorry, did I startle you. I didn’t mean to” he added when he saw the look on her face.

Without saying a word,she began to pack her things but he stop her by taking hold of her hand.

“If you are leaving because of me, then don’t” he said still holding her, making her hear his thought once again.

• I don’t want her to leave, how can I convince her to stay?*

Juliet pull her hand out of his just so she wouldn’t hear more of what he is thinking.

“As long as you don’t talk to me then I won’t leave” she said, sitting back on the bench.

“I don’t think I can do that since I want to apologise for what Louis did earlier. He tends to joke around and…”

“You don’t have to apologize on his behalf. I know people like him who joke around and am use to it” Juliet said, starring at her hands.

“Do you mind me sitting beside you?” Romeo ask.

“You can. It’s not like it belongs to me” She said picking up her sketch book to continue her drawing.

Whenever she picks up her book to draw, she often ignore everyone and everything around her.

She do this just to get rid of people she doesn’t want to talk to and soon enough this guy will take the hint and leave too.

But surprisingly, he didn’t leave. Instead, he stayed, watching her draw.

She pulled out her phone and put on her favourite music, then she put it her ear piece, hoping he will take the hint now and leave but once again, he prove her wrong.

“What are you listening to?” He ask, pulling out a piece so he can listen to it.

“Imagine Dragons- Believer Gosh! Have been a fan of theirs for a long time, are you also a fan?” Romeo ask and Juliet gave a nod.

“That’s great. Am glad we have something in common” he said before he could stop himself and when he realise his mistake, he deftly change the topic.

“Can I see your drawing, if you don’t mind” he said, taking the book from her before she could stop him.

Juliet watch him flip through the page, going through her drawing until he got to a sketch she drew of Darren, her sister friend.

“Who is he?” He ask and immediately, she took the book from him.

“Why are you hiding it? Let me take a proper look ” he said trying to take the book from her and once again, they made skin to skin contact making her hear his thought.

• Is he her boyfriend? I hope not cause I wouldn’t like seeing her with another guy*

On hearing that, Juliet stood up.

“I have to go” she said taking her things and leaving the rooftop in a hurry.

“Don’t you think we should tell her? If she knows that Graham is at the hospital, she will definitely come look for him” Judy suggest.

“I did reach out to her home on my way here but the employee there inform me that she already left for China and will be out of contact for a while ” Nina reply.

“Oh no! What do we do now. I can’t keep on pretending to be Graham girlfriend”

“Actually, that’s what am here to talk to you about” Nina began, taking a deep breath.

“Remember the doctor said we shouldn’t force his memories to return and that it might cause harm if we do” Nina said and she nodded.

“Well, have come to the conclusion that it will be best if you keep pretending to be his girlfriend. I know it’s a hard thing for you to do but am scared that something bad will happen if we tell him the truth. So, will you keep pretending to be his girlfriend?” Nina ask, leaving Judy speechless……..

“Why have it back when I can put it on for you” he said,cornering her against the locker.

“What do you say newbie, am very good at putting on pads for girls” he added, touching her skirt.

“Don’t touch me” she said,glaring at him.

“Or what? What are you going to….argh!” He suddenly scream when someone took hold of his hand, taking the pad from him.

“She doesn’t seem to need your help,Louis” her saviour said and for a while, Juliet stood watching him while he did the same.

Before she could stop him,he took hold of her hand and put the pad in it.

Skin to skin contact makes her hear people thought and like she heard Clarissa thought earlier, she heard his too.

Thanks to Natalie and the cleaner, Judy has spend half her day cleaning the school.

The library was her next room to clean which is why she’s there, dusting the books.

A book fell out of the shelf and Judy went to retrieve it and at that moment two students walk in.

She recognise the boy as Graham Stone but she didn’t recognize the girl.

“You need to understand, I have to go. China is where I can begin my career” the girl said to Graham who shook his head in answer.

“You will be settling in China for good. Aren’t you even worried about me? aren’t you worried about our relationship and how affected it will be. For gawd sake, I love you Judy” Graham said, pulling the girl into his arms.

Judy knew she shouldn’t be listening in on a private conversation but she couldn’t leave without being caught, she will just have to wait until they leave.

“And I love you too Graham but my career comes first. I can’t let it go just because of our relationship” Judy, Graham girlfriend said.

“Okay. I will let you leave to pursue your career but can I at least let everyone know we are dating? We’ve been dating for five months and not even our close friends know about us”

“You know we can’t do that Graham. One of the criteria the Chinese agency demand is that we stay single. I broke that rule by dating you and I can only take it far as this which is why our relationship needs to keep on being a secret”

“You are being unfair Judy. You are and you know it. What time are you leaving?”

“Today by twelve” she answered.

At that moment, Judy’s phone began to ring, alerting them of her presence.

“Who’s there?” Graham ask, walking to where she was hiding behind the shelf.

Knowing she was caught, Judy stood up, smiling at the couple.

“I can’t believe this Graham! Did you set this meeting up? You want everyone to know am your girlfriend just so you can tie me down, well am sorry. Am going to China whether you like it or not” Judy said and left the room.

“Judy I didn’t set anything up” Graham call after her but she already left.

“I didn’t hear anything. I was just cleaning and….” The rest of her words were left unsaid when, he grab by the arms and push her against the wall.

“Are you spying on us?” He ask, his blue eyes flashing making him look more handsome than he is.

“Am not. I told you that I was cleaning and you two came in and….”

“Who are you?” Graham ask.

“Judy Robert”

“Are you making fun of me?”

“Am not! I just happen to bear the same name as your girlfriend” Judy explain.

“If you think you can blackmail me with what you heard then you are wasting your time. I know girls your type, I know you are one those fools dying for my attention but am not interested, I already have someone I love as you heard, so don’t think that I will heed to your darn demand and….”

“Fools? Those people you refer to as fools are people who admire you” Judy said.

“Admire? You must be dumb to think they admire me when they are only after what they can get from me and you aren’t different from them. Okay, name your price and once I give you what you want, don’t ever show your face to me again” he said letting her go to pull out his wallet.

During that period, he got a message and after reading it, he left the library saying to himself ” you can’t leave me Judy, you just can’t”

Judy stood thinking of his attitude, that jerk…she thought going after him to give him a piece of her mind.

When Judy got to the stairs which led to the second floor, she was surprise to see Graham on the floor, unconcious.

He must have fallen off the stairs…she thought and ran towards him.

“Graham! Wake up Graham! Is he dead” she said just as students came out of their class.

“Call for an ambulance” Judy said and while some made the call, some video the scene in front of them.

“Judy….Judy” Graham call, slowly opening his eyes.

“Are you okay, Graham?” Judy ask, helping him to seat up.

“Where am I?” He ask, watching her with drowsy eyes.

“You are in school, seems like you fall off the stairs and….”,

“Who are you?” He ask.

“Am Judy, Judy Roberts. We spoke earlier in the library, do you remember?”

“Thank God, it’s you Judy. Come here” he said, pulling a startled Judy into arms while showering kisses down her face.

“What are you doing?” Judy ask, pulling away from him but he held her arms tightly.

“I love you Judy Roberts, I love you so much” he said, kissing her briefly on the lips and once again, he sunk into Oblivion.

“Oh no! Tell me you didn’t lose your memory!” Judy said softly, starring at Graham close face….
