TERRAVERDE ISLAND~SPAIN, CARSON’S MANSION*
The chilly morning air blowing in through the open window of Emory’s room did her awakening.
Her lids moved slightly, and her intertwined lashes began trying to let go of each other.
Lazily, she rolled from one side of her soft bed to another, slowly pulling the duvet away.
Her hair is in a tousled mess on her head, and she has smeared mascara below her entrancing amber eyes__a result of her alcohol party last night
She was groaning with a frown as she sat up, placing her pedicured legs on the ground.
She reached for the drawer and opened it, dragging out a joint pack.
She got rizla and rolled it professionally, getting a zippo to lighten it.
She took a long drag from it, and immediately it penetrated deep, she smiled with her lips, blowing out the smokes softly.
She got her phone with the other hand and went to the girls group chat.
There are messages from all of them already.

Lizzy: Shut the fûck, Nina. Last night wasn’t funny.

Emory almost started laughing as she typed a text.
Emory: I love you Nina! I needed the booze.
Immediately she sent that to the group, a knock sounded on her door.
“Em?” Her mother’s voice called.
She quickly hid the joint in the drawer and closed it, then she sprayed the room to hide the smell.
She walked to the door, her perfect curvy hips doing a show behind her till she got there and opened the door to meet her mum standing there.
Mrs. Carson.
“Ma” she muttered, leaning on the door.
The brunette woman smiled and embraced her in a hug, arranging her hair with her fingers.
“Did you sleep well?”
“Sure” Emory managed to smile.
“Come on, breakfast is set” Mrs. Carson pulled her away from the door.
She swept her hair back sluggishly as she followed her down the stairs.
The house is big and spacious…her parents might not be very rich, but they’re rich enough to buy her whatever she wants… they both run Carson Enterprises.
They met her dad eating already when they got to the dining room, and she settled down opposite him.
“Morning” she mumbled.
The man looked up sternly.
“You smell like weed, did you smoke again?” He questioned.
“Shit” Emory muttered, taking her cutlery.
“You think you’re helping yourself with the smokes?” Mr. Carson said.
“Hubby” Mrs. Carson tried to stop him, but it failed cos he kept talking…
“You’re literally worsening everything and…
“Fûck it! I’m not eating with you guys anymore” Emory slammed her palms on the table, standing and rushing back upstairs.
“Emory!” Her mother’s voice came after her, but she never turned back till she arrived at her room.
She entered the bathroom and exited minutes later to dress up in a baggie jean

The chains in the boot were clanging as she climbed down the stairs, hanging her backpack on her right arm.
She only straightened her hair, did a light make-up and her favorite lipstick, and she’s still just as beautiful…she has always been.
“Em!” Her mum rushed to her when she walked past the living room.
“Ma, I’m late already” she said without waiting.
“You have a lash on your face” the woman pulled her back and removed the lash gently.
Emory hugged her afterwards.
Her mum understands her more than any fuçking body, and that’s why she’d always be her favorite person.
“I love you” the woman smiled after they broke the hug, and Emory replied with a kiss on her cheek before finally leaving.
She hopped in her black convertible car at the driveway and rolled it out of the mansion.
The street air welcomed her skin like an old friend when she opened the sunroof.
Her hair almost became disheveled again, but she was sweeping the waves back with her hand till she got to school.
She drove into Legacy college and pulled up at the wide@ss park.
Immediately she came down and saw her friends waiting for her already, she smiled.
“I’m the last one this morning huh?”
“Yeah, Sofia the last” Nina replied, and Emory gave her the middle finger which made her laugh out.
Nina Young is the gossip queen of the friendship, the funny humorous one.
Beside her, there’s Lizzy Greene, the fashion icon who’s got the trendiest fashion sense in this whole campus.
“Where’s Bekah?” Emory asked when she got to them, and the fourth friend immediately came out of her car, elegant as fûck.
Rebekah Van Doren, the princess of this island. Her parents rule Terraverde, so she’s a royal blood, the richest in the friendship.
“Here I am!” Rebekah winked, hugging Emory fondly.
“Now we need to talk about what Nina did last night” Lizzy said, adjusting her fur coat.
“Are you kidding? You guys drank the alcohol as soon as it hit the table, not my fault” Nina rolled eyes defensively.
“We wouldn’t drink if you didn’t bring the bottles, bîtch. You know my condition!” Lizzy rolled eyes too.
Emory and Rebekah began laughing.
Lizzy and Nina behave like enemies most of the times.
“Can we just go to class already?” Emory cut in, and Lizzy grunted.
“I have a gist though” Nina smiled.
“Spill” The three chorused.
“I saw my dad’s dîck this morning, and I almost cried for mum. It’s small!” Nina said unfiltered.
“Eew! Gross!” Emory squeezed her face.
“You’re sick, Nina” Rebekah laughed as Emory pulled her into the campus.
“Crazy @ss” Lizzy laughed, and Nina joined her as they sashayed to catch up with the girls.
As they walked deeper into the school, greetings came for the girls from several hallways.
Nina’s gossip mates wave at her almost every minute, and Lizzy’s fashion wannabes won’t stop saying hi to her.
Rebekah as the princess doesn’t need to try, she’s always greeted respectfully.
Emory might be popular like them, but no one relates with her at all.
She got her phone and went online to distract herself, then someone bumped into her.
The phone fell, and she smirked as she looked up to meet the nonchalant eyes of Chadwick, the crazily tattooed guy.
He smirked too, and eyes widened around them when students saw what just happened.
“Do you have cataract or something? You don’t just bump into me and stand there like a moron! Pick my phone!” Emory snapped angrily, and eyes widened again.
Gasps filled the hallway, and the crowd multiplied, no one wants to miss this spectacle.
Chadwick is the most feared guy in this whole school. Firstly, because his father is Master X who runs an underground casino.
Secondly, because Chadwick himself is the leader of The Titans, a dangerous frat club in the campus.
No one argues with him, else, the outcome will be ugly.
“Pick your fuçking phone for you?” Chadwick’s brows tightened.
“Heck yeah, you knocked it down bastard!” Emory went closer to him, and he scoffed.

Her friends just stayed with the crowd, watching.

“Pick it!” Emory glared at Chadwick again, and he was about to grab her by the neck when the scene changed.
Someone entered the hallway, and all attention turned to him.
Students made way for him, and girls began, wetting their pants and gasping as admiration dazzled in their eyes.

Getting to class, the lecturer is already in, so Emory and her friends quickly settled down.
The class continued…
“We were talking about the business that was bought by Facebook in 2014, and the price” the lecturer said, and hush fell in the class
“Anyone ” the woman repeated.
The silence continued.
“Snapchat? For 18 billion?” A new voice came from the back of the class, and everyone turned to see the owner.
Levi!
It’s the first time he talked in class, so the shock is real.
“That’s dumb… it’s WhatsApp, for 19 billion” Emory replied immediately, and everyone turned to her.
“That’s right, Miss Carson” the lecturer said.
Instead of praises, Emory received hateful glares for saying dumb.
The lecture continued, and Levi’s eyes settled on Emory, watching her creepily from the back like a creep…that he is.
They had four classes consecutively, and immediately they finished up, Nina jumped in front of Emory’s desk.
“You called Banks dumb? Bitch you’re an icon! Girls will eat you!”
“Blah blahfuçking blah” Emory rolled eyes, and Lizzy laughed with Rebekah.
“But damn, his naturally sleepy voice! I’d do anything to hear him call me baby with it! Seriously if I don’t fûck that guy, I’d kidnap him on his wedding day” Nina chirped.
“Nina!” Rebekah coughed as her laughter got louder.
“Party again tonight? Need to get high again” Emory said, leaving the class.
“Wait up!” The girls ran after her.
