My eye opened, everywhere was dark that I could barely see myself.

I try to raise my hand and I could. I remembered that I was shot. Is this perhaps hell?

How come no one is here? The darkness was thick and I started to get frightened.

The light shone all of a sudden and I saw someone sitting at the edge of the room. His face was familiar.

I stared around the room to see how it was.

“Were… you the one that shot me?” I asked standing still.

“I am.” He replied briefly.

I kept gazing, I was now feeling guilty.

“If I were a killer, I would have killed you. I only gave you another chance and hoped that you won’t misuse it, what you did not know is that you are not better than Kyle cause you steal too.” He rebuked further.

I cried and knew at that point that I was wrong, It was something I shouldn’t have thought of doing.

I was wrong by reporting my boyfriend.

“Two things are involved, either I kill you to shut you up or…you promise to keep your mouth shut for life.” He said.

“I promise to keep my shut for life.” I quickly promised.

“Everyone would have chosen that, do you feel guilty at all?” He asked.

I was with my dad at the hospital, I was happy that he’d been responding to treatment.

My phone rang again, I was almost pressing the red button thinking it was Jace again only to see Kyle as the caller.

Nothing must happen to Kian, I have now loved him so much that I may not be able to live without him.

“I’m here baby?” I heard Kian’s voice behind me and my cries seized immediately.

I turned slowly to him and I received the greatest shock of my life when I saw Kian kneeling in a proposal format and holding a ring box that contained a golden ring.

I looked around at everyone present and I saw them all smiling.

They began to clap and cheer me up.

I blushed greatly and covered my eyes.

“Will you marry me? ” Kian asked and I melted.

“Yes.” My reply came slowly as I stretched my fin-ger to him.

Trying to be smart now might hurt either Kaden or I.

If it were I alone , I could have played a swift subtle game on him but I won’t like anything to happen to Kaden.

“I have always suspected you ever since I employed you as the bodyguard of my daughter…I was wondering why you look exactly like this stupid boy?” He said referring to Kaden.

“Adam Seth!” I called his name and grinned. “He’s my brother. I came to save him. If you were in my shoe , you could have done the same.”

“Indeed! I kidnapped him cause I want him to stay away from my daughter. I already have someone I want my daughter to marry, when she is of age and have finished or almost finishing her university, I will inform her.” He said.

“Your choice sir , but you do not have to kidnap my brother.” I said.

He was still stretching his gun at us while I keep praying that he will mistakenly drop his hands.

“He should know why I kidnapped him…don’t you?” He asked Kaden.

“I have no idea…or…oh! Because I told your daughter that she and I used to be lovers?” Kaden asked.

“Exactly.” Adam Seth replied.

We were all silent for few seconds.

“Will you let us go now?” I asked.

“No, both of you are staying there till I’m ready to release you.” He said.

Kaden fell to the floor and continue to bleed. I cried out loud in pain but still couldn’t make any move lest he shoot me too.

He took few steps back and locked me and my brother up in that dark room.

“At least send my brother to the hospital!” I pleaded but he turned deaf ears as he closes the door.

I was so angry, I wish I can get a gun and release bullet into the man’s head.

I called Jace immediately.

“Hello Jace , are you still with Chloe?” I asked.

“I couldn’t enter her room, she might identify me by my scent, I’m standing at the entrance of her room.” He said.

“Adam Seth just shot Kaden and he is really bleeding, I have been locked up too. The man might be coming after you, you should break into Chloe’s room and let’s use her as leverage to get out of here.” I said.

“Understood.” He replied and I hung up.

Gosh! Kyle spoilt everything. I told him to watch after Adam Seth, where could he have gone to.

I dialed his number.

“Kian!” His voice came through.

“Where in the world are you?” I yelled angrily. “Adam Seth just shot Kaden.”

“What! I can’t find Adam Seth in his room, he must have outsmarted us by hiding somewhere secretive cause I searched almost every hooks and crannies in the house but still haven’t find him.” He replied.

“We need to be smart now, I have instructed Jace to hold Chloe as leverage so we can get out of here. Find Adam Seth and kill him.” I ordered.

“But that was not the plan?” He disputed.

“He shot my brother, just kill him…he might call the cops too.”

“Alright.” Kyle replied.

I held Kaden who was fast loosing blood, his eyes were closing and opening.

“Please stay with me Kaden, don’t die…please. We will soon get out of here.” I cried as I watched my brother bleed.

His eyes finally closed, his hand dropped and his breathing stopped.

It was late at night and I was fast asleep. I was awoken by a some loud breaking sounds.

Before I could reason with what was happening, the door to my room broke open and some men whose face was covered barged in.

I stood to fight them but they shot through my window and that made me scared.

“Just a bullet in your head and you are dead.” One of them said.

“Better corperate.” One of them replied. Her voice sounded familiar, it was a female voice but I couldn’t place it.

I surrendered and they handcuffed my hand to the back, they covered my face with a thick cloth. It covered my whole face.

I could neither see nor speak. I just knew they were taking me somewhere.

💙 KIAN’S POV: 💙

“Kaden hit me back to revenge on what I did to you but I wasn’t really hurt unlike you. It was the hit I did on your head that made you loose your memory. I feel like you can never forgive me.” I said painfully and stood.

I still couldn’t stare at Chloe’s face. I felt like telling her the last truth about me which is me , being the head of the sinners gang but I couldn’t.

We still have one more crucial mission to fulfil plus I do not think she will be able to handle the truth yet. She’s still in pain with the revelation I just unveiled to her.

I walked out.

At the penthouse…

Kyle and Jace sat together with me at the living room.

“We could not go on to fulfil that mission that day cause we were interrupted. Kyle…why are the cops after you? Do you leak any of our secrets to anyone?” I asked.

“Hmm…No.” Kyle retorted.

“You have to give us a reasonable explanation as to why the cops are after you.” Jace said.

“True, it will be very dangerous going on this mission when we know fully well that the cops are now trailing us.” I said while Kyle dropped off his head.

“Fine. I told Ivy about it” Kyle confesses. “But Ivy can never snitch. ” he quickly added.

Jace lowered his head while I rested heavily on the chair

Why in the world would Kyle do something so stupid?

“Kyle! Why did you do do this? You have broken our rule.” Jace said

“It’s not Ivy…let’s leave her out of this. She probably told…someone else.” Kyle said defensively.

“And the person told another person that told the cops. Why are you like this Kyle?” Jace let out?

I just kept staring at both of them. Kyle has spoilt everything. This final mission is very important to me personally but with the cops after us…we would need to put it on hold.

“Kyle, if we can’t accomplish this deal in three days , you know we would miss out on it right?” I asked Kyle.

“I’m sorry?” He pleaded frankly.
