She frowned and made to walk towards him, but in the blink of an eye, he was out of the bathroom.

    Aurora is sitting on the swivel chair in her office, typing really fast, as she was engrossed deeply in what she was doing. One thing she loves so much, is her job.

    A knock was heard and she frowned. She didn’t call for anybody.

    “Come in” She muttered with her eyes still glued on the laptop’s screen. The door opened, and blake came in, looking as hót as ever.

    “I thought i’d never see you in here again. Didn’t you forget that you had a bestfriend, you clearly abandoned me” Aurora frowned and stopped typing.

    “Am sorry about that. It’s just that i haven’t had the time to. You can tag along with carolina and i for lunch if you want” He made himself comfortable on the chair in front of her, and stared into space.

    “Coffee??” She asked and he smiled, before nodding his head. She walked to the other side of the room, and poured out coffee into a cup.

    She grinned and handed it over to him before sitting back down.

    “Sometimes, i imagine what my life would have been like if you didn’t come into it. You gave me another chance to do things right…. you protected and catered for me. I’m grateful to you for helping me out” Blake genuinely smiled, as he leaned his head on the chair, with his eyes closed.

    ‘Ohhhh…fuçk….why’s he so handsome!?’ Aurora muttered underneath her breath, as she just couldn’t take her eyes off him. The man before her was just so damn good looking, no, good looking is actually a huge understatement.

    Carolina walked through the hallway leading to aurora’s office in all smiles, and she didn’t stop till she got to the front of the main door.

    Blake looked as surprised as both Carolina and Aurora were, when they noticed her presence, she saw his adam apple buldge, like he’d just swallowed past the lump in his throat.

    “Babe, it’s not what you think. I can explain!” Blake pleaded, getting off the sofa and covering himself with his shirt, while moving closer to carolina.

    “Don’t even think about coming closer! What’s there to explain you lieing bastard?. You fooled me” Carolina’s eyes were already teary, as she stared disappointedly at them. Aurora is supposed to be her best friend, but she stabbed her greatly at the back.

    “Paaaa!” A resounding slap landed on drake’s right cheek, before he could complete his statement. He looked at her with widened eyes, holding his already red cheek.

    Carolina sighed and turned back to aurora, with a scowl playing on her face.

    “And you. Aren’t you supposed to be engaged with your so called “Prince Charming”?. You couldn’t even wait, you had to jump to another man for a humpy dumpy ride. My own man for that matter??” She scoffed.

    Aurora’s brows creased in a frown.

    “Just stop it. Don’t say such words to me, just stop” She said with a calm demeanor, trying to keep her almost flaring temper in check.

    “Ohhhh, you feel hurt, you’re bothered. You shouldn’t be, you’re used to this type of life afterall, running from one bed to another, isn’t it?” Carolina spat ferociously, shooting daggers at her.

    “Baby, calm down….” Blake muttered and held her arm.

    “Calm down!?” Carolina snapped and yanked his hand off her. A heavy slap was what followed…

    “How dare you!! How dare you tell me to calm down!! Never tell a woman to calm down!!” Carolina yelled at him and ran her hands in her hair, fuming heavily.

    Carolina slapped him again, more harshly this time.

    “Keep your apologies for your despicable self. We’re done, it’s fuçking over between us, am outta here” She threw the bags filled with lunch on the floor, and stormed out of the office.

    Blake quickly put on his clothes after coming back to his senses. He ran after her, but he wasn’t able to catch up.

    She was out of sight before he got to the entrance of the building.

    She’d rather die than take anymore of her mom’s beatings. She knew she couldn’t face it anymore, the perfect solution was to go join her father.

    She jumped in without a second thought, and she began sinking instantly, giving in to déath.

    ‘Goodbye world….it was nice meeting you’ She thought, as she felt life leaving her. Her body sank completely, and water began to enter her brain as he dress moved with the waves.

    A bicycle fell beside the river, and without thinking twice about it, someone jumped in immediately.

    My legs began to shake in between with the choir’s ministration.

    I shook my head like a crazy woman, my bottom lip quivering, I was trying not to cry anymore.

    It was obvious that I was about to push off Ifeoma from my seat, and give her the beatings of her life. But the ushers held me.
