    As we entered into the house I was amazed by the design.The white couches had been neatly arranged,the fifty five inch television that was mounted on the wall was playing mix music.

    Some two young gentlemen had carried food to the table and started serving as music was playing.We ate the delicious food as we kept talking.I had never attended any party before and I was amazed by what was happening here.The disco lights,the food,the dj,the mixes everything was perfect.

    When everyone was done with the food,the crates of different drinks were brought.The lads must have accurately estimated the number of people since the drinks seemed to serve the all people and even extra.The party consisted of roughly fifty people although the girls were more.

    Everyone started taking drinks while dancing to the music that was being played.All my life I had always promised myself not to take alcohol at all and in fact everyone in the party was taking alcohol except me.

    As I was busy sipping my soda, admiring the girls as they were dancing,one girl approached me,maybe because she had saw me stand at a corner lonely with no one to give me company.

    The girl was fair, slightly short and dark skinned.She was very beautiful.She came and stood besides me and decided to start the conversation,It was then that I knew it was the best moment for me to strike.

    She introduced herself as Lilian and I had told her my name.She then walked away and came back with a bottle of whiskey.My heart was now pumping at a faster rate.I was afraid of taking alcohol.She poured the whiskey into her glass.

    When she tried pouring me the whiskey I refused and told her that I don’t take alcohol but she laughed.She then started persuading me to take a little.Her sweet and soft words made me pour the whiskey into the glass and took a sip.That was the first time I took alcohol and I felt guilty but after a few glasses I enjoyed it.

    “ Let’s go and have a dance” Lilian had told me.

    She held my hands and I followed swiftly then followed to the tune of the music as we danced.Her blue eyes and her gaze seemed to carry me away and I wanted to hold even more and tightly,we danced while we got drank.

    Lilian knew how to dance very well and I therefore enjoyed every bit of the dancing moves we made together.The way she was also dressed,made me crazy.The short dress made her s3xy as she danced.I was busy watching and throwing a glance towards her soft thighs.

    I was inside my room with Jace.

    There was a moment of silence amidst us. I noticed he checked his wrist watch and stood.

    I felt like I had hurt him, I shouldn’t have made it too obvious that I prefer Kian. He’s very handsome and cool too.

    I only prefer Kian to Jace but I should have kept it hidden. I wish I could stand up and plead to him but he seems to be out of sight.

    Few hours later! About 8PM at night when everywhere was getting dark. I was on my bed almost sleeping when I started to hear sound of gun.

    That would be my first time of hearing sound of gun in real life, all this while, it had always been in movies.

    I stood up fearfully and hugged my teddy bear. I was scared to the gut.

    I quickly picked the cell phone and put a call through to my dad.

    “Dad, can you hear the sound of the gun?” I asked as soon as he picked it.

    “Yes…I’ve informed the cops, don’t worry…sleep dear.”

    “Dad, I can’t sleep. I’m scared. ” I said.

    “My days! I’m coming there.and…where is your bodyguard?”

    “He should be outside.” I replied.

    Few seconds later, my dad opened the door to my room and sat beside me on the bed.

    “Sorry love, it will be handled.” He promised and I rested my head on his shoulder.

    I suddenly hear the break of the door and my heart shook heavily.
    “Dad! ” I whispered. “Seems the door has been broken.”

    My dad was quiet not knowing what to say. The door to my room opened all of a sudden. It was Jace.

    “Seems the enemies are close, please come with me sir.” He said. My dad and I followed him.

    He started leading us towards a direction of the house, he was in front looking right, left and center while dad and I were walking fearfully behind him.

    A strange man double crossed us all of a sudden and directed his gun at us.

    “Finally! I’ll get to kill your daughter, Adams!” The man said and fear gripped my heart so tight that I could hardly breathe.

    Jace ran to meet the man and engage in a duel with him, he knocked the man down and the gun in his hand fell to the floor.

    The man who had blood flowing down his nose crawled rapidly all of a sudden and took the gun.

    The man looked at me and before he could shoot the gun, Jace ran to defend me.

    The bullet hit Jace and he fell to his knees weakly, the man who shot the bullet dropped his head to the floor and with the look of things, he has lost consciousness.

    Jace held his chest even as blood gushes out, he fell to the floor.

    Blake was the first person to sprang up when Carolina’s eyes opened. She has been in a coma for weeks now, that everyone thought she wasn’t going to wake up.

    “Lina..” Blake rushed to her, and she blinked continuously, holding her hurting head with her right hand and her chest with the other.

    “Does it hurt?? Do you feel any pain anywhere??” Her mother’s voice came from the other side of the room and she quickly looked up.

    “Mom!” Carolina called in a weak voice and her mother quickly moved to her. She carefully sat beside her on the bed as she tried to control the tears that were battling to drop right at that moment.

    Nobody knows how it feels like to loose a child, until they witness it themselves. She could have sworn that her heart nearly leaped out of her chest when she heard that her daughter had been shót.

    She took the first flight she could have gotten, which was quite expensive and rushed down to Arizona.

    “Mom!!! Your eyes are glassy. Don’t tell me you’re about to cry. I’m fine. Very fine” Carolina smiled, and just that single word made Martha’s ( Carolina’s Mom) tears burst out from where it’s been stuffing up.

    She wrapped her hands around carolina and let her tears fall freely.

    “You…scared me. I thought i lost the only reason i have to live. Don’t scare me like that again, my heart can’t take it” Martha choked on her tears. Blake cleared his throat and sighed.

    “I guess am not needed” He muttered and left the ward. Carolina wanted to call him back, but he was already gone before she could speak.

    She returned her gaze back to her mom and sighed sadly. It’s still hard to believe that the person she trusted, the one she always called her sister, was capable of doing this to her.

    “What happened with Aurora mom?? Did she manage to escape?? Is she doing fine?? Tell me she’s still alive” Carolina said out of the blue and martha rolled her eyes at her.

    She quickly stood up and brought out a cross from her purse. They’re Catholics.

    The most beautiful ring she had ever seen was sitting there, shining into her eyes.
