“Aurelio w-what are you doing?” Cheetah stuttered.

“It’s actually fine if she has it coz I was looking for it to give it to her” Aurelio said.

Cheetah staggered back, gripping her chest tightly as she felt something stroke her.

Aurelio placed Amour’s leg down before standing back up right.

“Now that the case is solved, I guess you all can go to sleep” Aurelio said.

Cheetah stared at Amour then at Aurelio with a shocked look on her face. Never did she expect it to take this turn

Viper smiled slightly before walking out of the the room to meet the other maids outside.

“You can all go back to sleep. The case has been solved” Viper said.

The maids kept murmuring as they walked back to their respective rooms. Coralyn stared worriedly at the door.

“I hope you’re safe Amour” She thought before turning to head to her room when someone grabbed her arm

She looked up to see it was Viper

“Come with me” He said and began dragging her away

“Hey! Let me go! Viper!”

Back in the room, Cheetah and Cleopatra remained frozen on their spot.

“I thought I said you all can leave. What? Is there any problem?” Aurelio raised a brow

Cheetah blinked twice before she shook her head.

“Oh.. No, not at all” She chuckled.

“Goodnight Aurelio” She smiled and Aurelio then at Amour before leaving with Cleopatra.

Her smile immediately fell and she folded her fists tightly in fury as she walked back to her room

Aurelio faced Amour who was still standing there. For a moment, her brain stopped working and all she did was just stare at Aurelio.

Aurelio cupped her cheek and wiped off the remaining traces of tears there.

“What? You think I’ll really punish you? C’mon, you need to trust me just the same way I trust you” Aurelio said.

“I.. I didn’t steal the anklet” Amour said.

“I know.. I’ve known Cheetah for a long while so I know what to expect from her. You need to be wary of her and others, it’s not everyone in this clan that you trust” Aurelio said.

Amour smiled in relief when she saw he believed her.

“Thank you Master” She smiled

“Stay for tonight, please” Aurelio said and Amour thought for some seconds before nodding.

He immediately carried her in a bridal style and walked to his bed, placing her gently on it.

“Need to change my clothes” Aurelio said and walked to his wardrobe

Amour stared at the anklet as she ran her hands through it. She smiled when the scene that happened earlier replayed in her mind.

Her heart couldn’t help but race at that thought. Few minutes later Aurelio came back dressed in his pajamas.

He climbed onto the bed and a gasp escaped Amour’s lips when he pulled her closer to him. She blinked twice before slowly wrapped her arms round his waist, snuggling closer to his hard chest

She felt so tiny in arms right now and he smelt so nice. A smile escaped her lips.

The sleep that she was deprived off slowly began coming in that she unknowingly yawned.

“Amour” Aurelio called and she looked at him

She had no idea he knew her name and the way it sounded so good coming from him made her want to hear it one more time but she’s too shy to say it

“Hmm?” Amour answered.

“Can you try as much as possible to stay away from Rexton?” Aurelio said, taking her by surprise

Why is he asking her such? Is it because of the kiss incident? Is it because he’s jealous?

“Well, I’ll try” She said and Aurelio nodded. He kissed her forehead before closing her eyes.

Amour stared at him…

“Are we really going to sleep just like that?”

“What? Were you expecting something else?” Aurelio spoke and her eyes widened.

She didn’t even realize she said it out loud. Amour blushed and immediately shook her head.

Aurelio chuckled.

“You’re becoming naughty… To answer your question yes, we’re going to be doing just sleeping for tonight. Save your energy for tomorrow” Aurelio said and closed back his eyes

Amour smiled and returned back her head to chest. If each of her nights were like this then it’ll be perfect

••VIPER’S SUITE••

“I said let me go! Viper what’s wrong with you” Coralyn kept struggling till Viper pushed her in the room, looking the door.

“What now? What do you want from me? If you come closer, I’m warning you I’ll scream” Coralyn flared up

Viper looked at her and smirked “You look s*xy when angry” He said, coming closer.

“Don’t come closer, I’m warning you!” Coralyn said

“Or else what?” Viper said and she swallowed hard.

He grabbed her wrist and pulled her to bed, pushing on the bed. Coralyn landed while sitting down on the bed

“Viper, I’m warning you I’ll scream” Coralyn said when Viper got on the bed.

To her surprise, he laid down on her thigh and covered himself with the duvet.

“Stroke my hair till I fall asleep” Viper said.

“What! You dragged me here just for that?” Coralyn spatted.

“Do you want me to do the main reason I brought you here or you will go for the alternative I’m suggesting” Viper said and she immediately began petting his hair

“Nice” Viper smirked and closed his eyes.

“Do this till I fall asleep, then you can leave” Viper said.

“I’m a maid not a nanny!” Coralyn fired.

“And I’m your boss.. I pay you to obey my orders” Viper said and she gritted her teeth, stroking his hair gently

How she wish she could just rip off his hair off his scalp but it’ll be at an expense.

“Have you dated before?” Viper asked, looking up at her.

“If you’re planning on asking me out it’s a no” Coralyn rolled her eyes.

“Don’t get your hopes too high girl, I’m just asking to know who the unlucky guy is. I don’t have low standards in women” Viper smirked.

Coralyn angrily pulled his hair hard.

“Ouch! Do that one more time and you’ll regret it, you know what I mean” Viper said and Coralyn sighed.

“Look what my good samaritan caused me. I should have quietly walked away the moment I saw him crying at the graveyard” Coralyn began regretting.

She was still in her thoughts of regret when she noticed he finally fell asleep.

“Finally” Coralyn sighed, running her hands through his hair a few more time

She didn’t know when she began staring at his face, acknowledging his docile looking features.

She slowly ran her fingers from his straight brows to his round nose, brushing her hands through his thin lips.

One who will look at him won’t even think he’s someone as dangerous as a mafia.

“This is wrong… So wrong, I shouldn’t be doing this because my first friend in this clan is into you. I want to avoid you as much as I can but why do you give me a hard time huh?” Coralyn said.

“Please look at her not me, please” Coralyn muttered like he could hear him.

She sighed and gently placed his head on the bed before standing up.

Coralyn covered him properly with the duvet and looked at his face one last time before leaving.

Viper immediately opened his eyes, staring at the ceiling. He sighed out and ran his hands through his hair.
