๐ง My Daughter My Wife Episode Eighteen: ๐ซ
Sola and I departed Chicago the next day together, and though she had told me so much in very little amount of words, I began to feel guilty for being of same gender with the one that made her face that level of disappointment she had faced.
She was quite in a chatty mood and we talked about so many things, making our long flight seem like it was just a few hours flight, anf our appearance like age long friends.
When we touched down Nigeria, our official SUV was already there to take us back to the office, and it seemed as if the other guys in our team, were just strays that we picked up along the way.
I kept thinking about how she seemed to have forgotten that I once tried to get down with her, as she talked with me just like a friend would, marveling at how intelligent she was, as she spoke about social and political issues, analysing them in quite an impeccable manner.
When we got to the office, we only had to see the General Manager for a few minutes before we were all allowed to go home to our family.
โThank you Sola. Iโm amazed at your level of maturity and self control and ability to make even the most uncultured man, want to get a groove of himself. It has made me reevaluate the very essence of the male-female relationship.
โThank you for making me see the need to have my head thinking for me, and not my third member. You’re one of a kind!โ I said and she began to laugh.
โYou make it sound like youโre one who chases after everything in skirt. But youโre not Mr Andy. Ive had time to evaluate your kind of person, and I’m sure you’re not a bad person.
โYou were just missing your wife, and being a human, and especially a man, no offence intended, you were simply seeking an alternative, to improvise for that moment.
โSomeone that can make you quench the desires you have because youโre thinking of your wife and she wasn’t anywhere close to calm your raging storm
โOr because you were hurt by something she said or did, and you needed to pass that anger off, by laying someone available, pending when you get things right with your wife, or return to her sides, as the case may be.
โAnd thatโs why I had to help you. Yes, I had to help you because many men bring problems to their homes with just one intended fling, especially at that time they have problems with their wife.
โThey could just get down with someone for just the purpose of getting off their anger for what their wife may have done or said, intending it to be a casual sxx, only for so many complications to arise from thereโ Sola told me, and I couldnโt agree less with her.
โYouโre a good person Sola. And the man whoโll eventually be the lucky man, will not only be glad he got himself a beautiful and sรจxy bundle for a wife, your wisdom, intelligence and ingenuity will make a whole lot of difference in your homeโ I told her.
โOh please go home Mr Andy, youโll make my head burst with all the compliments. Donโt make me change my mind and decide to kiss you now for trying to kรฏll me with flattery!โ she joked as she walked away, while I stood watching how her waist swayed as she walked.
“Ah men! This girl is beautiful! Look at how endowed she is. How can one person be this intelligent, disciplined and proactive, yet a dude let her go for another? If I wasn’t expecting thing a child, dear Lord!” I muttered as I made my way to Chuks’ office.
I walked into Chuks’ office to see him, because I was shocked that even though colleagues have been trooping out to welcome us, Chuks my friend refused to come out of his office.
โHey man, whatโs with you? Didnโt you hear that your boss has returned?โ I joked as soon as I entered his office.
โOh man! I see youโre in high spirits, that’s quite a relief. I didnโt want to come out because you havenโt been reachable for days now and I reckoned our last call may have made you decide to go off radar
โSo I didnโt want to come out and have you chop off my head right in the presence of all, making everyone witness your outburst and putting your job on the line.
โThatโs why I decided to wait until I can get you alone in your office. But whatโs up man? You look too bright for a man whoโs been told about how his wife tried to seduce his friend, and how that friend of his, was able to run away, only after he had touched some of her sacred partsโ Chuks told me
Sadness crept into my heart as I opened my mouth to talk again. It was a painful story I never wanted to remember, but I needed to let Chuks know that things were still as it should be with us, because he did nothing wrong.
โYou know Chuks, I was momentarily close to a heart attร ck when you told me what you said that, but I got over it with time because I knew itโd happen someday. It was something I was expecting” I said
I told Chuks I didnโt blame him whatsoever because I was already anticipating that occurrence based on something that had happened before.
What I didnโt imagine was that she could be crรฃzy enough to get giddy with my friend.
We talked for a few minutes and I told him I needed to rush home to see her and be sure she was till in my house.
โAs bad as the situation is Chuks, sheโs still pregnant with my first child, and even though I know things can never be the same with us again, I canโt let her know Iโd be sticking to my motherโs decision of sending her away when my child is weaned.
โThese past days, Iโve had time to reflect on a whole lot of things, and I’m ashamed to admit that my mother was right.
โMarriage isnโt just about sรซx and yes, a woman who has zero control over her sรจxual appetite, no matter her physical, financial and spiritual endowments shouldn’t be one a man ends up with, no matter how unfortunate that man wishes to get.
โI should have listened to my mother when she expressed her concerns about Madonnaโs lรฎbido and how it resembled her motherโs, but I was carried away by the fire in our sรซx life.
โI was so sure Iโd always keep her sรซxually satisfied and ensure she never had a reason to think of someone else.
โWell, I guess I never considered my job and the possibility of getting unavoidably away from her. But itโs all good now Chuksโ I told him and he sat looking at me with pity in his eyes.
I left his office after promising to call him later that day, and rushed home to meet my family.
My mother was expecting me, because she had remained in touch, and though we couldnโt talk about my wife, she always wanted to know how I was doing.
I begged her to help me inform my wife that I was coming that day, and she told me sheโd inform her, but my mother that I know, will surely not have told her, because even the quick acceptance to tell her, told me she wasnโt going to do it.
When I got home, Madonna wasnโt at home and my mother seemed very happy that I met her absence.
After the hugs and welcome dances, my mother didnโt even have the patience to wait for me to finish unpacking before she began to tell me about why I needed to get magรปn.
โWhat d I need magรปn for iyร mรฌ?โ I asked, afraid that he had seen something that I hoped she wouldnโt see.
And she began to speak in riddles, telling me a tale of a woman who allowed a particular stump claim her two pots and asked if I didnt think the woman was fลลlish.
I was still trying to understand what she was talking about, and trying to let her see how tired I was from a long journey, when Madonna came into the house.
She seemed shocked to see me, and though she had rushed to give me a tight hug, she wasn’t really as enthusiastic as she used to be when she saw me. I heart a mocking laughter and turned around to see my mother looking at Madonna and I in disdain.
I had to walk into our room, because even Madonna seemed uncomfortable as my mother continued to laugh without humour.
