Honduras celebrates another year of independence from the Spanish crown on September 15 ; this date commemorates the signing of the act at the National Palace, located in what is now Centenario Park, in the city of Guatemala de la Asunción.
José Cecilio de Vall e wrote that historic document, in which the freedom of Central America was proclaimed: ” The desires for independence from the Spanish government that the people have expressed in writing and by word are public and individual ,” it reads.
