    Fatade Olamilekan Idowu embarks on food distribution programs for hundreds of Osun inhabitants

    In the celebration the Christmas and New Year season, the Fatade Idowu Foundation, through its founder, Mr Idowu Olamilekan Fatade, distributed hundreds of food items to several communities of Osun state as part of his humanitarian services on the 22nd of December 2025.

    The kind gesture was exhibited in communities, namely, Eripa, Otan Ayegbaju, Iresi, Okerun and Igbajo all of Boluwaduro Local Government of Osun State

    The rationale behind the outreach was borne out of of his zeal and passion to support elderly members of the communities, hence, the distribution of food items and essential provisions to over 300 aged beneficiaries.

    The initiative was aimed at easing the burden of the festive period and ensuring that the season of celebration was also a time of care and inclusion for the aged.

    Members of the foundation noted that the exercise reflects its belief that true celebration lies in sharing and looking out for those who may be struggling. Beyond the distribution of items, the team took time to interact with the beneficiaries, offering reassurance and words of encouragement.

    The Chairman of Boluwaduro Local Government, Hon. Aina Abayomi Adesina, in his remark, appreciates the kind gesture of Mr Olamilekan Idowu and further promise to collaborate with his foundation in providing support for the Community.

    He further expressed appreciation to the foundation for the thoughtful intervention, describing it as timely and impactful. The community leaders acknowledged the importance of such gestures, especially in a period marked by rising living costs.

    Many of the beneficiaries received the support with gratitude, stating that it brought relief and renewed hope. The founder, Mr Olamilekan Idowu, reaffirmed its commitment to continued community engagement and pledged to sustain initiatives that promote dignity, care, and social responsibility.

    Nigerians have taken to social media to share mixed reactions after a video of Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Funfeyin predicting the outcome of the Anambra governorship election surfaced online.

    Prophet Funfeyin, founder and General Overseer of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, had during a service on November 7 attended by members and international visitors declared that Professor Charles Soludo would emerge as the winner. Days later, Soludo was officially announced as the governor-elect, fulfilling the prophecy.

    The video has since generated widespread conversation online. While several Nigerians praised the prophet for his prophetic accuracy, others remained skeptical about the growing link between religion and politics.

    Not everyone, however, shared the same sentiment. Some netizens questioned the timing and credibility of such prophecies.

    Lagos, Nigeria — Nigerian entrepreneur, author, and IT consultant Solomon Lagoke has officially unveiled his new music imprint, Bloom Recordz, a platform aimed at nurturing young talent and promoting creativity in the country’s growing entertainment industry.

    Lagoke, who hails from Ijebu Ode in Ogun State, said the label was born out of a long-held desire to create opportunities for promising musicians. Speaking about his background, he explained that his values and vision were shaped largely by his mother and extended family, describing his early years as “a pretty normal childhood with strong family influence.”

    Before venturing into entertainment, Lagoke worked in technology and authored several books, but his passion for music remained constant. “Music has always been a part of my life,” he said. “Now, entering the entertainment scene is my way of providing talented individuals with the opportunities to thrive.”

    According to him, the concept for Bloom Recordz had been in development for about four years. “A friend initially suggested it, and we joked about it, but it stuck with me,” he recounted. “The name Bloom represents growth and the beauty found in music.”

    Building a Modern Platform

    Lagoke described the label’s vision as one focused on diversity and development. “The goal is to build a global music platform that represents modern artists from across the world,” he noted.

    He said Bloom Recordz would emphasize talent discovery, artist development, and digital growth. “We’ll use social media, streaming platforms, and digital campaigns to promote our artists and reach wider audiences,” he said.

    When asked about what makes a good artist–label partnership, he highlighted transparency and teamwork. “It’s about mutual respect, clear communication, and shared goals,” Lagoke explained. “Both the label and the artist need to understand each other’s vision.”

    Establishing a Structure

    He added that the label is assembling a professional team of producers, marketing experts, A&R executives, and legal advisers to ensure a transparent and artist-friendly structure. “We want to provide proper guidance, fair contracts, and career support,” he said.

    Although the label has not yet announced its first signees, Lagoke said talks are ongoing with several emerging acts. “We’re actively looking for unique sounds and voices,” he revealed.

    Looking Ahead

    On the label’s long-term goals, Lagoke said he envisions Bloom Recordz becoming one of Africa’s leading independent record labels within five years. “We want to be recognized for discovering and supporting top talent and promoting ethical standards in the music business,” he said.

    He also emphasized his desire to contribute to the growth of the Nigerian and African music industries. “I want to leave a legacy of empowering artists and promoting diverse musical voices,” he added.
