I can’t count how many times we’ve walked out hand in hand on the street, run together on the beach and even go for various dates and restaurants to have either breakfast, lunch or dinner.
I’m a bad cook and Derek knows that but luckily he’s good at cooking so when he have the time, he cook but I’m a woman, I should know how to cook and you know how the saying goes, the easiest way to win a man’s heart is through his stomach and that’s why I’m standing in the kitchen with various food ingredients staring at me.
My laptop is open, I want to make Derek’s favorite food. In the video, there’s a woman showing the ingredients we’d need to prepare the food and Derek has gone out to work, at least something to provide some income for us with.
I followed everything she asked us too, she was quite fast and I couldn’t keep up, smoke was everywhere, I’m coughing but still staring whatever I did in the pot hoping it turns out to be good.
After few minutes, I’m done, I dish the food on the plate, it’s not smelling the way I hope it would be but that’s not my fault, it’s the woman from the Internet who can’t cook. She only lied in her video that she’s a good cook, now I understand the saying don’t believe everything you see on the Internet.
I rushed to my room to grab my perfume, I sprayed on the kitchen and a little on the food so it can scent nice before going back to return it. I’m about to leave when my phone began ringing, it’s on the dressing table.
I checked the caller, it’s Taylor, I don’t know why she keeps calling. Derek told me to block any connection I have with them unless I want to go back. I’ve blocked our moms, I don’t want to ever see them again but I don’t know why I can’t bring myself to block Taylor. Why should I still consider her as a friend when she has the ounce to lie to me the way she did.
I declined the call and was about to leave when my eyes caught the hair brush. I frowned seeing the amount of hair in it and it’s not mine. I’ve warned Derek severely to clean the brush after using it and I wonder why so much of his hair comes off.
My phone rings again, interrupting my thoughts. It’s Taylor again, she just wouldn’t give up and you know what? I’m going to pick this call and tell her to get off my life for good, I’d tell her to go fuck herself with our moms and I’m going to block her number then stay here with Derek forever. I’m not even going to school anymore, the woman I’ve been doing everything for turns out to be the biggest liar I’ve ever seen.
I picked the call angrily.
“Hey Dove… OMG you finally picked, where have you been? You just left and our moms-”
“Stop Taylor! I left there for a reason and I’m picking this call because this would be the last time you’d hear from me. Leave me alone, I don’t want to see any of you especially those women because as far as I know, I consider them as a mother to me!” I yelled at her.
“But Dove wait please I…”
I cut the call on her and just as I promised myself, I blocked her number and now I’ve lost connection with all of them but you know what? I took my sim from my phone and flushed it down the toilet. This would do, there I’m out of everyone’s life for good and I don’t care if I’m being selfish but I’m choosing Derek among all.
“Babe” speaking of Derek, I heard the sound of the door and Derek’s voice from the living room. I quickly rushed to the living room.
Derek is looking at the food I made. “You cooked?” He looks surprised.
I nod shyly.
“Wow” He smiles and sniff around. “Smells… Nice ” He says like he’s confused. I’m pretty sure he’s wondering why the food smells like perfume but I tasted it, it wasn’t that bad I guess.
“Go freshen up and try what I cooked, be quick before it gets cold” I pushed him to the room. Few minutes later, he came back dressed in singlet and shorts.
I gave him the food and spoon and stood nervously as he tasted it. He squeezed his face looking unsure and when he saw me looking at him, he forced a smile.
“Food’s good?” I ask.
“Very” He forced a smile and put more in his mouth. I watched him closer as he struggled to swallow. “You know what, I’m full” He dropped the spoon.
“What? You look really tired, you should finish up for me please” I gave him puppy eyes and he nods before taking another spoon then spitting it out.
“Is it really that bad?” I frowned.
“Babe” He moves closer to me. “I’m sorry, remember it’s your first time. We can improve together” He kisses me.
Derek ordered food for us and that night we both fell as sleep. I dreamt the whole night hoping this never ends but however we were woken with loud knocks the next morning.
I don’t want to wake Derek up, I stood up and went to get the door. “Who’s there?” I asked but the person kept banging the door.
“Who’s there?” I heard Derek call from behind, he pulled me behind him and opened the door then we were welcomed with the police.
I gasp.
“Officer… Why are you where?” Derek pulled me behind him and questions.
I’m scared, did someone report us when they saw us together outside. I can easily fake my age if it’s so.
“We have a restraining order against you, Mr Derek Hale to stay away from Miss Dove Bellywood from this moment hence forth or you’d be arrested for practicing pedophile” The officer said to him.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about officer ” Derek murdered.
“You should listen to the officer Derek, stay away from my daughter or I’d have you arrested without a blink of an eye” A familiar voice, is that my mom?
