Killian’s bloodshot eyes calmed down completely already, and his clenched bones softened too.
The time is 11pm when he walked into the hospital, and immediately he entered Zinnia’s ward, her friends left.
She’s awake, sitting up in bed… Her back is supported by a soft pillow to ease her stomach.
“Cameo” she sniffled, and he started walking to her, their eyes mirroring.
“You… You stabbed Alice back?” She shook her head.
“You shouldn’t have done that”
“So what? You hate me now?” He asked blankly, standing beside her bed.
He tried touching her, but she shifted away slowly, making his hand fold.
“No matter what…. She’s your family… Stabbing her for me just doesn’t feel right, and I feel so guilty right now, and…
“Funny how everyone kept talking about right and wrongs when I’ve never cared about it! I don’t know right and wrongs! I was told to clear anything that comes my way even if it’s myself!” He yelled, and she flinched…

“The mafia Lord’s heir who got chosen among his brothers, the one who got trained by the masked trainer, was me” he muttered, and her eyes widened.
He turned his back, remembering everything right from Genesis.
FLASHBACK, YEARS AGO~OVERLORD’S CASTLE*
The boys are all lined at the training ground already, they have a really good oldie as their trainer, and they never miss trainings every morning.
Just three of them though…Hardin, Zade and Jordan.
Killian is always absent just like right now.
The three young boys are currently punching bags, and at the thirtieth punch, Zade punctured his own bag, and the content poured on the ground.
The trainer began clapping proudly.
“At this rate, you’ll become the heir” he said, and Zade smiled big.
“How did you even do that?” Jordan asked.
“Practice makes perfect” Zade winked.
“Eh… As if” Hardin made faces, and their trainings continued.
“Where is Killian?” Malachi’s demanding voice came, and they had to halt and bow.
“He’s in his room, painting canvas as usual. He’s really not interested in being a warrior your Lordship. Zade is strong enough to lead the organization in the future” the old trainer said.
Malachi ignored him and signalled to some guards.
Three minutes later, Killian was dragged to the training ground, his face full of colours from the painting he was doing.
He was made to kneel in front of Malachi.
Malachi slapped him hard, and he fell on the field.
“Stand” he ordered, and immediately he did, Malachi slapped him again.
He fell back on the field, bleeding from the nose already.
He kept standing, and Malachi kept slapping till the twentieth slap.
Killian’s face turned a shade of purple and red from the hits, and his eyes are turning on their own .
Hardin clenched his fists… Jordan and Zade turned their faces away, unable to watch.
“This isn’t right…I don’t wanna be a warrior! I wanna paint canvases! I don’t wanna fight!” Killian shouted in tears, and Malachi gave him the 21st slap.
Killian fell back to the field, his jaw cracking.
“There’s no right nor wrong in the organization. We only follow rules and clear whoever stands as a threat, even if it’s you yourself. To do that, you need power, and that is why you must train! The moment you were born as my son Killian Alpha, the warrior mark is on you… Your heart needs to be gone, you’ll be my heir!” Malachi said emotionlessly.
“Father…father I really don’t wanna fight! I…idon’t want to! Father please” Killian held Malachi’s leg as he begged, but Malachi kicked him on the head, and Killian rolled off him helplessly.
“Hundred strokes of horsewhip” Malachi ordered and left the field.
As if nature is against Killian, it started raining.
He knelt in the rain, and his clothes were stripped till he’s stark naked..
His skin is full of blade cuts and whiplash wounds and belt scars
That’s the daily occurrence here. Each time he refuses trainings, he gets beaten like an animal.
Malachi is so hell-bent on destroying his dreams.
The rain was pouring on him as the torturers arrived with the whips.
They began lashing him, and he began crying as his flesh peeled with the whips, making his blood flow with the rain.
“Mother!!!!!!!!!” He cried in anguish, but no help came.
Hardin is by the second balcony, his fists still folded as he watched alone, wishing he could bash the torturers to the ground…
He started crying for Killian.
And on the first balcony, Aurora is beside Malachi, begging him in tears.
“This is the fifth month of his daily tortures already, I’m not ready to lose my son. He’s too fragile for all of these Malachi. I named him Cameo because he’s the smallest off all his brothers despite being the first to come out of me, he wasn’t born to be a warrior, he was…
“His tortures won’t stop till he accepts his fate, and I think you saw the exams conducted earlier for new trainers. A masked trainer is coming for him tommorow, and you might cry your eyes out when he starts… You haven’t even seen anything” Malachi said emptily and started leaving.

NEXT MORNING*
Killian wasn’t given the chance to open his eyes before he was dragged out of his room despite the wounds on his body.
“Where are you taking me to? Where? Where!!! Mother!!! Mother help me!!! Hardin!!! Zade!!! Jordan!!! Someone help!!! Leave me alone!!!!” He was struggling stubbornly as he got dragged.
He was plunged down at the field, and tears already filled his eyes blindly.
“I don’t want this life…I don’t want this! I don’t wanna fight!!!” He yelled.
“That’ll change by the time we’re done” a new voice said, and he slowly looked up to see a masked man, G was written boldly on his fabric mask.
Malachi is standing beside him, smiling cruelly.
“What’s his biggest fear again?” The masked man asked.
“Darkness…” Malachi replied.
“Then I’ll need a coffin and a land to bury in plus oxygen mask and machine…as soon as possible” the masked man said.
Malachi left with some of the guards to get it done, and Killian swallowed his own spit, getting it immediately.
“No…you can’t do that to me!!! Someone help me!!!” He shouted, standing from the ground.
He started running as far as he could, from the masked monster.
“Help!!! Mother!!!!”
He hasn’t ran far when the masked man got his revolver gun.
He only had to shoot one time before the gun released the bullet.
8 years old Killian stopped running immediately he heard the sound, but before he could look back, he got hit.
The bullet penetrated into his back, and he crumbled to his knees.
“Ahh…hhh… mo…moth….er”
He vomited blood before falling on his face.
