“It’s ok. Your band won it two years consecutively, maybe it’s time for another band to step in” Mr. Kang smiled.

“I know, right? It should be VIXXEN or TRUE LOVE so I can jubilate with either Vee or Jazzy. I have amazing friends don’t you think?” Daniel replied proudly.

“This year is the best” Mr. Kang said.

“Of course!” Mrs. Kang finally joined them with Lyric.

The dinner took just thirty minutes though they shared banters and chatted throughout.

The parents retired to their rooms immediately, and Daniel carried Lyric in his arms to his room.

Immediately he entered, he kissed her, and she chuckled.

“Allow our dinner to digest first, bad boy”

“My girl is so cute” he chuckled, arranging her hair.

“You brought ketchup and butter” she said, looking at the tray.

“I know you love mixing both, weirdo, that’s why I brought both” he smiled, pressing the two into the flat mixing glass.

He spread it on the bread and folded it neatly before feeding her.

“Hmm! Yummy!” She gushed.

“You’re somehow clumsy” he laughed when he saw she stained her lips with the mixture already.

She pouted, and he kissed her, licking the stain away before giving her tea.

“You’ll bath me, right?” She winked.

“If you’re ready to take backshots in the tub” he replied.

“Ok let’s go on another round before even entering the bathroom” he stood, and she jumped down from the bed.

5PM, RAINBOW ENTERTAINMENT**

Vee’s car stopped in front of the building, and Diva faced him in the car.

“I’ll come back to pick you” he said.

“No. Just send the driver to bring my car. You should spend the rest of today with your family, and keep to your promise” she replied, and he nodded once.

They hugged, and he pecked her nose before she left the car.

She entered the building and went straight to Mr. Bae’s office.

She met him on seat, looking so tired.

“Je-na” he stood immediately, and she kept standing as he walked to her.

“I’m ready, tell me everything” she said, and he sighed.

“I was diagnosed with cancer even before your mum’s death” he said, and her eyes widened.

He went to his table and brought his test results from years ago, handing it to her.

She took it, and her eyes widened again as she checked it out.

“If I had stayed with you, then I trust you’d choose to stop highschool back then just to work and get the money for my surgery, but I didn’t want that, and that’s why I had to just leave for the countryside. That was where I met Mr. Kim, the manager of your band. I was already expecting death, but he was the one who brought me liberation, and a month after he brought me into this agency, I was lucky to become the manager of a band. I had to take a year salary in advance for my surgery, and since I became ok, I’ve been looking for ways to make it up to you, but it has been hard trust me” he cried, and Diva faced him slowly.

“You shouldn’t have left like that, still you shouldn’t have left. What if you died in the countryside, what if you didn’t meet Mr. Kim? Yes you’re right that I’d have abandoned highschool just to work and take care of you, but why were you scared of that? I’m your daughter and I have every right to take care of you! Having you by my side would have been more soothing! I still hate the fact that you left me!!” She started crying too, and Mr. Bae had to hug her at this point.

“I’m so sorry Je-na… I’m very sorry. Please forgive your undeserving father, please…I promise not to ever leave your side again, I promise” he sniffed, and she slowly hugged him back.

Mr. Kim was watching from the door, and he smiled when he saw that.

Vee opened the main door, and a big dinner was already waiting at the dinning room.

His brothers and sister is waiting with Sara, and they’re all smiling except Sara who was looking so nervous.

It was actually Diva who called and told her to cook his favorite foreign dish, and she did it with all carefulness without mistakes, hoping he’d eat.

“Welcome back!” Sphinx shouted, hitting a spoon on a cup.

His eyes didn’t leave Sara, and he was looking so emotional already as Sara finally spoke.

“I made your favorite Egg Benedict, and many side dishes, so…

She has only said that much when Vee walked fast to her, and before she knew it, he hugged her tightly, and she started crying immediately.

“Jun-ho” she sniffed, hugging her back so tight like he’d run away.

“I’m actually glad, that you’re my mum” he whispered, stroking her hair as they both cried slowly.

Juniper smiled, and Maple jumped.

“Yes!”

Sphinx blinked back his tears as the three joined the hug, and Sara’s tears of joy fell torrentially.
