“Nathaniel, can I talk to you for a while?” Travis said, leaning on the wall.

“We’ll wait for you at the dressing room” Dean said and left with the others.

Nathaniel glared at Travis and made to leave too but Travis blocked his way.

“Out of my way” Nathaniel said, slowly folding his fists.

“Last time you took me by surprise.. If that fist of yours lands on my face again, I’m retaliating and I’m sure you don’t want us to cause a scene here..” Travis said with his hands crossed.

“What do you want then?”

“To talk with you… It’s about Arianna, follow me” Travis said and led the way

Nathaniel looked behind and sighed before following him too.

They entered an empty room. Travis faced him and brought out a bottle then handed it to Nathaniel.

“What’s this? Poison?” Nathaniel raised a brow.

“Yeah.. If I was just a minute late, Arianna could have consumed that.” Travis said and Nathaniel’s eyes widened.

“What!!”

“Yeah, you know she’s too emotional and what you’re doing is hurting her even more.. Look about the kiss, I was the one who kissed her not the other way. I don’t know who edited the video to make it look that way” Travis said.

“I promised her I’ll fix everything. It’s all my fault,, please forgive her and go back with her” Travis said.

“He’s right” A voice said and they looked at the entrance to see it was Nancy.

“Nancy?” Nathaniel called.

“My brother forced me to come to his concert and on my way to him, I overheard you guys” Nancy said.

“Travis is right, you should forgive her. She’s for nothing in this. I personally I came up with the deal for my own selfish intention,, because I wanted her far away from Travis with the thought that with that, Travis will learn to love me” Nancy muttered.

“I’m sorry” She said and looked down.

Nathaniel ruffled his hair in confusion. If what they’re saying is really the truth then that means he doesn’t deserve Arianna.

For two weeks, he has been hanging out with girls so that he could get back at her without even giving her a chance to explain. He completely shun her existence out and he went as far as kissing Dassie in front of her..

“If you are still doubting then let’s look for who edited the video” Travis said.

“How?” Nathaniel asked.

“I don’t know how but I’m suspecting someone.. Let’s just ask the head of the school blog who gave him the video to publish” Travis said.

“That sounds like a great plan.. Let’s do that tomorrow” Nancy said.

“Alright,, I need to go and rest.. My brain is aching like mad” Nathaniel said, rubbing his temples as he left

Travis and Nancy faced each other. Nancy was the first who tore off her gaze and made to leave.

“It’s not your fault. I can’t force love” Nancy smiled lightly and left

Arianna’s driver stopped in front of a house and she got down.

“Come and pick me by 9:30” She said and the driver nodded then left.

She took deep breaths before going to the entrance and she rang the bell.

“Coming!”

Few minutes later the door opened, revealing Jody. She frowned when she saw Arianna.

“Good evening aunt” Arianna said slowly.

“What do you want?” Jody said sternly.

“Can you give me just 5 minutes? Please?” Arianna said.

Jody looked at her for awhile before making way for her to enter.

“Thanks” Arianna bowed slightly before entering.

They went to the living room and settled down on the couch.

What followed was silence as both of them stared at each other.

“Aunt,, I’m sorry.. I’m really sorry, it was because of me that Nathaniel got suspended for three days and also the reason why he’s behaving this way. I’m so sorry aunt, I know you trusted me not to break your son’s heart but I did” Arianna teared up.

Jody looked away without saying a word.

Arianna cleaned her tears and made to go down on her knees but Jody held her back.

“It’s not necessary” Jody said.

“I’m really sorry aunt” Arianna cried and Jody just hugged her. She hugged her back.

“I love Nathaniel very much!! I really do,, I would never have ill intentions of hurting him aunt” Arianna said tearfully.

“It’s okay,, stop crying” Jody patted her hair.

They broke the hug and Jody cleaned her tears.

“I’ll talk to him though I know my son.. He’s very sweet and gentle but when he’s angry, it’ll take the intervention of God for him to listen to anyone. But I’ll still try” Jody said.

Arianna nodded.

“Gosh! You look so pale! And you’ve lost weight too,, it’s so bad” Jody scolded her.

“Thanks for forgiving me ma’am” Arianna said.

“It’s fine.. Come I was about to eat dinner, join me” Jody said and Arianna nodded then smiled lightly.

“I love your new house ma’am” Arianna said and Jody smiled.

“Just call me mother” Jody touched her hair and they both left for the dinning room.

Nathaniel laid on bed after he finished wearing his pajamas. His hair was still wet due to the shower he just had.

He picked up his phone and the first thing he saw was his wallpaper. It was a picture of him and Arianna.

She had her hand round his neck as she pecked his cheek while he smiled with his eyes closed.

Nathaniel sighed and touched her face on the picture. He immediately went to her inbox and began typing.

He suddenly stopped and deleted it then began typing another phrase.

He deleted it again and began typing another phrase which he deleted again. He did it for three more time before frustratingly threw his phone on the other side of the bed before covering himself.

He sighed and slowly cleaned the tears that escaped his eyes

TWO DAYS LATER**

“I hope he came to school today” Travis said as he and Nathaniel went to Grade 12-B.

Well for these past two days, Nathaniel has been thinking of ways to talk to Arianna but he just couldn’t find one. The guilt and shame he felt in him couldn’t let him.

“Well there’s this girl who came and handed it to me. She’s averagely tall for a girl and she has long hairs. I think it’s the popular girlfriend of your bandmate,, Dean” The guy replied.

“Cassie?” Travis raised a brow.

“Oh okay, thanks a lot.. That’s all what we needed to know” Nathaniel said.

The guy smiled and nodded before leaving.

“Cassie? Does it really makes sense?” Nathaniel said as they left.

“Let’s just ask her” Travis said and they left..
