Jasmine finished washing her hand in the sink and began leaving. She opened the door and her heart skipped a beat when she saw Nancy and Poppy standing in front of her.
Nancy pushed her in and closed the door.
“Just because you’re now buddies with Arianna you think you’re growing wings right?” Nancy raised her brow.
“I.. I..”
Before she could form a coherent sentence, Nancy landed a deafening slap on her cheek.
“I think I should cut down those wings of yours” Nancy smirked and grabbed her hair then began pulling her to one of the cabinets in there.
Poppy chuckled, following behind.
“Nancy let me go!! Please!! Nancy!!” Jasmine kept struggling.
“Let me send you to where you belong” Nancy said and dipped her head inside the water closet (W.C)
Jasmine kept hitting Nancy’s hand, signalling her to release her but Nancy just laughed in return.
“Next time you’ll think twice before opening your stinky mouth to speak against Nancy. Travis belongs to Nancy” Poppy laughed.
Nancy pulled out her head from the W.C and Jasmine began coughing out the water she swallowed..
“How does it feels like? Bad right? Next time you’ll think twice before pissing me off” Nancy smirked
“Nancy please.. I’ll-”
Nancy dipped back her face inside the WC and Jasmine kept struggling, trying to scream but more water penetrated her mouth, eyes and nostrils.
Nancy pulled out her head as she laughed.
“Help!! Somebody help me!! Theodore!!” She screamed and coughed at the same time.
Nancy forced back her head inside the WC. Poppy kept laughing hard.
Suddenly the door to the restroom swung open and Theodore ran in. He was actually passing by when he head someone scream his name.
“What’s happening here” He demanded as he came closer
“It’s nothing get out of here. It’s the girl’s restroom” Poppy said but Theodore just pushed her out of the way
His eyes widened at what he saw.
“Are you cràzy!!” He pushed Nancy away, pulling Jasmine closer to him.
Jasmine kept coughing, her eyes were so red due to the water mixed with her tears.
“What’s wrong with you!! Just because of some silly pairing?” Theodore shouted.
Nancy scoffed and rolled her eyes.
“She should have just obeyed me like the dog that she is” Nancy said.
“Don’t you dare lay a hand on her ever again or I swéar I’ll break my principle of never hitting a woman on you” Theodore warned and took Jasmine away.
Nancy smirked with her hands crossed as she left the restroom with Poppy
Theodore went straight to the male’s changing room with Jasmine.
“What’s wrong with the bullies of this school!!” Theodore kept ranting as he dried Jasmine’s hair with his towel.
“Thank you” Jasmine muttered, while looking down
“I promised I’ll always protect you right?” Theodore said and Jasmine could swear something moved in her.
She began staring at his face and it’s just now she’s noticing his handsomeness. She was just like a kid standing besides his tall figure.
“But you should learn how to stand up for yourself.” Theodore hit her nose, bringing her back to reality.
“I’m on scholarship and Nancy.. Her parents are filthy rich.. I don’t want to have my scholarship removed” Jasmine said.
“Duh!! I’m on scholarship too but trust me if some sick dude looks for my troubles, I’ll give him double of what he was looking for” Theodore said and brought his towel down when her hair was dry.
He brought out the top of his sportswear and handed it to her.
“Here, your shirt is pretty wet so this will do since you love wearing baggy stuffs. Hey!, I’m not giving it to you okay? You bring it back tomorrow” Theodore said and Jasmine chuckled then nodded.
He removed her huge lenses which also got wet.
“I don’t know why you wear this stuff. You’re cuter without it” Theodore said, staring at the lenses.
“Anyways, I’ll be outside so you can change. There’s no guy here so you’re safe. Feel free to call me if you want me help you hook your bra well” Theodore winked as he left.

EMPTY CLASS**
Nathaniel opened the door and peeked in then smiled when he saw who he was looking for.
“Ari..” He called, coming in fully.
She was seen reading her books.
“What’s up with the reading? You’ve been reading since morning” Nathaniel asked, pulling a chair to sit closer to her.
“I.. I want to do more better on my next exam” Arianna said.
“Okay.. Since tomorrow is Saturday and I’m your partner, I was wondering on where should we meet to work on our project” Nathaniel asked.
“Should I come over to your house or?”
“No! Let’s do it at your place” Arianna quickly said.
“Okay.. My mom will be working so we’ll do it without being disturb or something like that” Nathaniel smiled.
Arianna blinked, looking at him weirdly. Nathaniel blinked, looking at her too.
He blushed when he realized what he just said.
“Oh no no no!! I mean do our project not some other kind of do.. Like my mom always goes to work in the day so no one will disturb us from doing our project.. I wasn’t saying..gosh!” Nathaniel face slapped himself and Arianna couldn’t help but chuckle.
“It’s fine.. I understand what you were saying, you’re a good guy” Arianna said
“Unlike me” She completed it in her head and her smile slowly fell when she thought of the bet.
She continued reading her book.
“What’s bothering you or should I ask who hurt you?” Nathaniel suddenly asked after a moment of silence.
“Huh?” Arianna quickly looked up at him. Is he now some sort of mind reader??
“You’ve been like this since morning. Actually, yesterday was the only day I saw you smile purely and genuinely but today you went back to the forced smile you always have. Who hurt you?” He asked again.
Arianna just stare at him in surprise. She quickly comported herself and looked down.
“It’s nothing.. I’m just not in my mood today” Arianna said which was an obvious lie to Nathaniel.
“Are you sure?” He asked and she nodded.
“You should leave, I.. I want to focus on what I’m reading” Arianna said, her mood completely down.
“Are you sure-”
“I said leave Nathan!! Leave just let me be!!” Arianna shouted this time as tears finally escaped her eyes.
“Arianna..”
“I’m used to being hurt,, this one won’t matter!!” Arianna began sobbing loudly
Nathaniel just stared at her and when he didn’t know what to do, he shifted his chair closer to her and pulled her in for a hug.
Arianna slowly hugged him.
“You know sometimes, I wished I was born poor. At least if I didn’t have the money, I will have love and care.. All my whole life, I’ve spent it trying to be the son my father have never had and my mom she’s not helping matters at all. All what my father says and does is good for her!! I always make sure I do my best to be at the top in everything I do but it’s not just enough for my father.. I’m tired” Arianna cried.
“Sorry” Nathaniel rubbed her shoulder.
“If one day you hear I’m déad just know that I’m tired and-”
“Hey! Don’t say that.. Please” Nathaniel said and broke the hug.
“Life is a precious gift which many wish to have.. Many are suffering from incurable disease, some díe in unexpected accident but you,, you’re alive and healthy and that’s something you should be grateful for” Nathaniel said.
“But what’s the use of being alive if I can’t know what it feel to know that your family loves and cares about you..” Arianna asked while sniffing
“I grew up without a father.. I don’t even know who my father is, whether he’s déad or alive. When I was younger I still remember being mocked upon because on every occasion, I see my classmates with their father but I didn’t have one.. It hurts a lot but you know what, I accepted it.. I accepted it and acknowledged and now I’m happy with what I have” Nathaniel said, cleaning her tears slowly.
“If you can’t find the happiness you seek for? Why not create your own happiness?” Nathaniel said.
