In front of her stood Aurelio. Fury was an understatement of what his face depicted at the moment.

“B-Boss… I…I…I can ex-explain” Ruby stuttered in terror but Aurelio took menacing steps towards her.

Ruby took one step back and immediately turned to run away but Aurelio swiftly grabbed her neck, slamming her back so hard on the wall.

“You b*tch! You kílled my child!!” Aurelio yelled, squeezing her neck even more.

“Boss..” Ruby gasped, finding difficulties breathing. “Boss I’m sorry” Ruby managed to say

Aurelio slapped her real hard as he released her neck, she dropped down on the floor weakly.

“Boss, I’m so-”

“Don’t! Don’t f**king say that word again!!” Aurelio yelled and kicked her tummy

“Argh!” She cried out in pain, holding her tummy tightly.

“Boss!” Two guards who saw the scene rushed to them.

“Whip her 70 strokes and lock her up till tomorrow morning” Aurelio said and the Boss nodded before taking Ruby away.

“Boss no!! Boss I’m sorry!! Boss!!” Ruby screams were heard as she was dragged away.

Aurelio punched the wall thrice, wounding his knuckles. He ran his hands through his hair before storming off to a location – Godfather’s suite.

He barged into Godfather’s room without knocking only to meet him staring out of the window.

“Don’t you know how to knock?” Godfather turned to Aurelio

“Why! Why did you forbade the maids from contacting the clan’s doctor” Aurelio demanded and Godfather scoffed.

“Why do you care so much?” Godfather asked.

“Answer me!!” Aurelio yelled, surprising Godfather but he didn’t show it.

“Why should I bother the clan’s doctor for someone like her, a mere thief” Godfather said, looking out of the window

“She’s not a thief!” Aurelio said and Godfather looked at him.

“Father” Aurelio took a step forward, coming closer to Godfather.

“You adopted me 20 years ago and since then I’ve never for once disobeyed you. Today, I want you to stick these words in your head” Aurelio said in a low yet menacing tone.

“If I find out you have a hand in what just happened to her or if anything happens to Amour and you’re partly involved, I swear… You’ll have me for an enemy” Aurelio said and Godfather stared at him shockingly.

Aurelio looked at him one last time before leaving the room. The shocked look couldn’t leave Godfather’s face

“Did he just threaten me?…. Because of a thief?”

••MORNING»ARENA••

“What’s up with the early waking?” Indigo groaned, rubbing her eyes sleepily.

She looked around and was surprised to see everyone came out too, even Coralyn

“Boss sent an emergency alarm to you to?” Indigo asked and they all nodded.

They walked further in the arena and a gasp escaped Cheetah’s lips when she spotted Ruby. She was kneeling down as both her hands were chained up against two pillars

Her whole body were covered with nasty wounds caused by the whips, her gown was soaked with her blood too, even her face was badly swollen. She look almost unrecognizable

“Ruby!!” Coralyn screamed and made to run to her but Viper held her back.

“What is happening? Who did this to her!!” Coralyn shouted.

“Me” Aurelio muttered, coming to stand beside Ruby who was half conscious.

“What!! Why did you do that? Why!!” Coralyn demanded loudly

Aurelio faced Ruby and harshly grabbed her by the hair, pulling her face up

“Please…” Ruby winced.

“Will you start talking or you want me to shorten your lifespan” Aurelio said.

Ruby swallowed hard. Looking up at all the members. Cheetah and Cleopatra were already sweating.

“I’m the one who poisoned Amour” Ruby said and everyone gasped.

“Who did what?” Rexton furiously advanced towards her but Vitto stopped him.

“She wasn’t even my main concern. It was you, Coralyn” Ruby said

“Why? Why did you do that?” Coralyn muttered as tears welled up her eyes

“Isn’t it obvious! Do you think I’ll honestly be okay with you being with Viper? You know how much I loved him yet you went ahead and seduced him!!” Ruby shouted.

“You have no idea of how much I hate you” Ruby said and more tears poured down Coralyn’s eyes.

Aurelio immediately pulled the trigger, shooting her thigh.

“Argghh!!!” Ruby released another painful cry when the bullet pierced her skin but that wasn’t just it

“Aarrggghhh!! It hurts!! Ahh my thigh!!” Ruby screamed, wiggling in pain.

“What did you do to her” Cisco asked.

“The bullet is a poisoned one, the venom will spread all over her body causing her excruciating pains. It’s just a question of minutes before she dies” Aurelio said, watching Ruby who kept crying loudly..

Aurelio grabbed her by the neck.

“Tell me why did you include Amour since your target was just Coralyn. Tell me now, and I’ll end your suffering with just one bullet” Aurelio said..

“It’s…argh!!!” Ruby cried, her eyes went to Cheetah whose eyes widened.

“It was someone who a-asked me to do so the… person is-”

Cheetah swiftly brought out her gun and pulled the trigger. The bullet rammed into Ruby’s skull and she díed on the spot

Coralyn painfully closed her eyes. She couldn’t even do anything to save her. What would she have done?

“Betrayal and lies! That’s what I hate most! I just couldn’t stand her voice any more, I’m sorry Aurelio” Cheetah said, faking an angered face

Flame looked at her and a smirk grazed up her lips.

Aurelio stood upright.

“Saint, Cisco… Cremate her body and get rid of it before sunset” Aurelio said and walked away.

“Cora!” Viper went after Coralyn who just ran away.

Cisco and Saint went to unchain her body while the rest of the members began leaving one by one.

Flame began walking off but stopped infront of Cheetah. She smiled..

“I feel pity for you in advance… For you’ll regret it” Flame said and walked away

“What is she talking about?” Cleopatra asked.

“Who cares? Can’t believe that b*tch nearly ratted us out. We could have faced Aurelio’s wrath” Cheetah said, trying to calm her heart that was literally pounding.

“Since that b*tch is in the hospital, how about you take opportunity for that and get started with Aurelio” Cleopatra smirked.

“What do you mean?”

“Dressing s*xily, seducing him, spending a steamy night together. Yunno what I mean” Cleopatra winked and Cheetah smirked

“You’re sure it’ll work?” Cheetah asked, having second thoughts.

“Of course! My plans always works. Come let me explain more better” Cleopatra took her away.

After having his shower, Aurelio was seen dressing up to go and see Amour. A knock suddenly came up on his door.

“Come in” He said, buttoning up his shirt

Saint walked in. “Boss” He called and Aurelio turned to him

“Saint, what brings you here” Aurelio asked.

“Uhh, I don’t know if Viper has told you about the recruit I spotted. She’s really skilled and I’m sure she’ll be of great help” Saint said.

“Really?” Aurelio said and Saint nodded. “I once saw her in action so I’m sure of what I’m saying” Saint added, hoping it’ll convince him

“Okay, bring her tomorrow for the test. I’m in a hurry so we’ll talk more better once I come back” Aurelio said, heading to the exit.

His phone began ringing and he brought it out to see it’s from the hospital.

“Hello?” He immediately picked

“What! You shouldn’t have done it!!” Aurelio immediately ran off.

Saint smiled happily..

“He accepted” He said, smiling to himself as he left the room.
